ODESSA -- Jewell Lee Townsend, 76, of Odessa died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

ODESSA -- Ralph Arthur Murray, 91, of Worland, Wyo., died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, in Wyoming.

ODESSA -- Lenna Shadix, 90, of Odessa died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at Seabury Nursing Center.

ODESSA -- Laverne Lucille Panther, 78, of Odessa died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Jody Breed

MONAHANS - Jody Breed, 50, of Monahans, an office manager for Ward Memorial Hospital, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Ward Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship Church with the Rev. Mark Bristow officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Monahans, and was a longtime resident. She was a member of Grave Fellowship Church.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Bobby Breed of Monahans; father, J.J. Pelletier of Midland; daughter, Stephanie Breed of Monahans; brother, John Pelletier of Midland; and sister, Connie Pecore of Midland.

C. Fred Lang

ODESSA - C. Fred Lang, 61, of Odessa, a retired field mechanic for Getty Company, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ernest Easley officiating. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Houston and had lived in Odessa for 35 years. He was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Michelle Hayes of Midland; brothers, Bill Lang of Odessa, Everitt Lang of Houston and Howard Lang of Austin.

William Thornhill

WINNSBORO, La. - William 'Buddy' Thornhill, 65, of Metairie, La., died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Riser First National Home Chapel with the Rev. Lester Rains officiating. Burial will be at Providence Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Riser First National Home.

He was born in Franklin Parish, La.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Clarie Thornhill of Metairie, La.; stepsons, Allan Guidry and Piere Guidry, both of Metairie, La.; daughters, Wanda Faye Penton of Folsom, La., Brenda Ann Shirley of Odessa, Linda Jean Gongora of Destrehan, La., Cindy Marie Duran of Midland; brother, J. Neal Thornhill of Winnsboro, La.; sisters, Lennie McCarta of Gilbert, La., Vera Newsom of Winnsboro, La., Pauline Bowers of Dubach, La.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Febronio Valenzuela

FORT STOCKTON - Febronio O. Valenzuela, 82, of Fort Stockton died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Shaumont officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery in Fort Stockton. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

He was born in Carlsbad, N.M.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Eugenia C. Valenzuela of Fort Stockton; sons, Arturo Valenzuela of Fort Stockton, Freddie Valenzuela of Houston and Emilio Valenzuela of Fort Worth; daughters, Estella Prado of Odessa, Carolina Lopez of Fort Stockton, Amelia Taylor of Granbury; sister, Irene Lopez of Midland; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Lois Walls

ANDREWS - Lois Faye Walls, 53, of Sundown, a respiratory therapist, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998, at St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at McNett Funeral Home with the Rev. David Humber officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Eddy County, N.M., and moved to Sundown in 1983 from Levelland.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Harry Walls of Sundown; son, Johnny Walls of Levelland; parents, Glen and Nadine McCubbin of Andrews; sisters, Rita Calloway and Patsy Calloway, both of Waxahachie.

ANDREWS - Clovis Henry O'Bannon, 68, of Andrews, a retired production supervisor for Texaco, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Henson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Restland cemetery in Boswell, Okla. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

He was born in Boswell, Okla., and moved to Andrews in 1972 from Odessa. He was a Baptist and veteran of the Army.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary O'Bannon of Andrews; son, Mark O'Bannon of Andrews; daughter, Robin O'Bannon of Bangs; brother, Ray L. O'Bannon of Boswell, Okla.; sisters, Charlene Coffey and Ruth Robertson, both of Boswell, Okla.; and four grandchildren.

Ray Britton

ODESSA - Ray Britton, 85, of Odessa, a retired realtor, died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Thorpe officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Ruston, La. He was a Navy veteran.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Theda Whiteley Britton of Odessa; son, Don Britton of Odessa; daughter, Debra Gandy of Ruidoso, N.M.; stepson, Sandy Whiteley of Chicago, Ill.; stepdaughter, Joylyn Russell of Odessa; brother, Jim Stevenson of Las Vegas; sister, Catherine Trendel of Topeka, Kan.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
