ABILENE — Sam T. Rogers, 78, of Breckenridge died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, in Abilene.
Services are pending with McNett Funeral Home.

Noah Gariepy
ODESSA — Noah Angle Gariepy, an infant, was stillborn Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Sandra McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Jackie and Miranda Gariepy of Odessa; grandparents, Bobby and Melissa Williams and Jackie and Mary Gariepy, all of Odessa; and great-grandparents, Robbie Campbell, Kenneth Campbell and Loretta Taylor, all of Odessa.

R.D. Medlock
ODESSA — The Rev. R.D. Medlock, 70, of Odessa, a retired minister of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Hospice House of Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Hanson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Groesbeck and was a resident of Odessa since 1940.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Betty Jo Medlock of Odessa; sons, Arvin Medlock Jr. and Randy D. Medlock, both of Odessa, and Clarence Medlock of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughters, Chandra Shelton of Odessa, JoAnn Gattis of Mento Valley, Calif., and Patricia Clement of Fritch; brothers, A.D. Medlock, Colmuns Robinson Jr. and Columbus Medlock, all of Odessa; sister, Joyce Marie Thomas of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Narcisa Rayo
ODESSA — Narcisa Rayo, 75, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at Seabury Nursing Home.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Casa Piedra and was a lifelong resident of Odessa. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Ivho Ramos of Odessa; daughters, Indhira Ramos and Narcisa L. Ramos, both of Odessa, and Bertha Sotelo of Houston; brother, Concepcion Chavez of Odessa; and sisters, Elvira McGuire of Odessa, Carmen Simpson of Del Rio and Anita Bustamante of Marfa.

Frances Scott
FORT STOCKTON — Frances G. Scott, 88, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at Fort Stockton Nursing Home.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Stockton.
SURVIVORS: Sisters, Bonnie King of Fort Stockton and Tommie Franco of El Paso; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Manuel Pando, 62, of Odessa died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Manuel Antonio Aragon
ODESSA — Manuel Antonio Aragon, age 43, of Odessa died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in Amarillo. He was born April 19, 1958, in Carlsbad, N.M.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Mark Woodruff officiating.
Mr. Aragon had been a teacher for a private school.
He is survived by his wife, Flor Polanco Aragon of Mexico; mother, Maria Aparicio of Odessa; sisters, Norma Clark and Delma Aragon of Odessa and Dorothy Najera of Midland; brothers, Ruben Aparicio of Denver, Colo., Gerardo and Joel Aragon of Odessa; daughter, Jasman Aragon; son, Sergio Anthony Aragon of Mexico; grandfather, Francisco Gonzalez of Odessa; 21 nephews and nieces; and five great-nephews and nieces.
Services have been entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Joeyanne Garcia
ODESSA — Joeyanne Garcia, infant daughter of Diane and Joe Garcia Jr., was stillborn Monday, June 4, 2001, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Survivors are her parents, Diane and Joe Garcia Jr. of Odessa; grandmother, Margie Baker of Midland; grandmother, Lucinda Martinez of Odessa; grandfathers, Antonio Martinez and Joe Albert Garcia Sr., both of Odessa; great-grandmother, Gonzala Trejo of Odessa; great-grandfather, Manuel Martinez Gomez of Odessa; brothers, Jonathan Paul Llanez, Joe Albert Garcia III and Joshua Patrick Garcia, all of Odessa; and godparents, Tony and Rayma Gomez of Odessa.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today, June 8, 2001, at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating.

Debra Kirkland
ODESSA — Debra Kirkland, 25, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at her residence. She was born Oct. 13, 1975, in Fort Stockton. She married Lowell Kirkland May 15, 1998, in Odessa. She was a homemaker and a Christian.
Survivors are her husband, Lowell Kirkland of Odessa; son, Alec Kirkland of Odessa; father, Pat McCracken of Lovington, N.M.; mother and stepfather, Charlie and Jerry Joplin of Odessa; half brother, Jason Sullivan of Ozona; two half sisters, Cymantha O’Donnell of Bigfork, Mont., and Lenise Staha of Lubbock.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Cecil ‘Gene’ Turner
ODESSA — Cecil “Gene” Turner, 58, of Odessa died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today, June 8, 2001, at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Allen Harris officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Visitation will continue from 8 to 11 a.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born June 7, 1942, in Commerce to Nellie Daniels and Cecil Turner. He was self-employed and a Baptist.
He is survived by his mother, Nellie Imogene Reed of Odessa; son, Christopher Gene Turner of Odessa; daughters, Stacy Jane Noble and Haley Dawn Turner, both of Odessa, and Lynne Turner of Austin; and two grandsons, Daniel Noble and William Turner Ball.
Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

Jesusita Maria Huerta
ODESSA — Jesusita Maria Huerta, 85 years of age, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born May 12, 1916, in Presidio. She married Juan G. Huerta Oct. 14, 1937, in Marfa. She was a housewife and a Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan G. Huerta Sr.; son, Frank Huerta; parents, Pedro and Lupe Hernandez; brother, Pedro Hernandez Jr.; and sister, Virginia Vargas.
Surviving are her four sons, all of Odessa, Sisto Huerta, Cypriano Huerta, Juan Huerta Jr. and Carlos Huerta; four daughters, Emma Betancourt of Odessa, Mary Garza of Arlington, Ramona Bonilla of Midland and Juanita Villescas of Odessa; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Jesus Betancourt Jr., Richard Betancourt, Alvaro Betancourt, Ben Bonilla Jr., Roman Garza and Jacob Villescas.
Services by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
