KERMIT — Mary J. Ritchey, 92, of Kermit, a retired cafe owner, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at Hospice House.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and was a resident of Kermit for 29 years. She was Protestant.
SURVIVORS: Son, Bill DeMott of Kermit; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

George Wallace Jr.
ODESSA — George Michael Wallace Jr., 36, of Midland, a truck driver, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Wills Point and moved to Midland in 1979 from Abilene.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Crissy Wallace and Shayla Wallace, both of Monahans; parents, George and Linda Wallace of Midland; brother, Mitchell Wallace of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Carole Huffine of Arlington and Dena Niblett of Wills Point; and grandparents, Roy Lee and Christine Kidd of Edgewood.

Julia Powell
ODESSA — Julia Bell Powell, 83, of Odessa died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Rita Dunn
MONAHANS — Rita J. Dunn, 86, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Friday, July 27, 2001 at Monahans Managed Care Center.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ft. Lincoln cemetery in Washington, D.C. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans.
She was born in Washington, D.C. and was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Cecil Dunn of Monahans; daughter, Carita Bandel of Monahans; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ruth Roquemore
ODESSA — Ruth Lynn Roquemore, 85, of Odessa, died Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Weatherford.
SURVIVORS: Brother, Newell Manuel Jr. Roquemore of Weatherford; nieces, Barbara Sharp and Norma Hamilton, both of Odessa and Tommie Coalfon of Mineral Wells; great-niece, Margaret Whitehead of Odessa.

ODESSA — Robert Bob Stark, 69, of Odessa, died Friday, July 27, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Wright officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Mangum and moved to Odessa in 1991.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Fern Stark of Odessa; son, Robert Wayne Stark Jr. of Houston; daughter, Laura Richards of Lamesa; brother, Gresham Stark of Dallas; sister, Violet Norris of Mangum; five grandchildren.

Carol Tidwell
ANDREWS — Carole Tidwell, 66, of Andrews, a retired video store owner, died Friday, July 27, 2001, at Permian General Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Linton officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at the Elmwood Memorial Park cemetery in Abilene. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Anson and moved to Andrews in 1975.
SURVIVORS: sons, David Tidwell, James Tidwell and Clay Tidwell, all of Andrews; daughters, Wanda Tidwell of Odessa, Lara Hibbard of Houston, Marcia Tidwell and Vicky Tidwell, both of Andrews; mother, Audie Bowers of Abilene; sister, Wanda Anthony of Abilene; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Natalie Welch
ODESSA — Natalie Faith Welch, born July 28, 2001, died July 29, 2001 at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Graveside services are scheduled for today at 11 a.m. at the Ector County cemetery-Rosehill Babyland, with Don Caywood officiating.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Melissa Aguirre; father Larry David Welch; brother Nicholas Noah Aguirre; grandparents Mary Perez, Jan Denning, Larry David Welch Sr. and Elias Aquirre; great-grandmothers Katheryn Denning and Trine Hignojos.

ODESSA — Vallory J. Orren, 67, of Odessa, died Sunday, July 29, 2001 at Hospice House.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home.

MONAHANS — J.M. Greer, 75, of Monahans, an oilfield salesman, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lively officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial cemetery.
He was born in Caddo Mills. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Stan Greer of Abilene and Dave Pettiet of Fort Worth; daughters, Phylis Creamer of Bridgeport, Ginny George of Austin, Barbara Rigsby of Houston and Martha Shaffer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers, Joe Greer of Amarillo and Bruce Greer of Denver City; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

MONAHANS — Carlton R. Reed, 81, of Monahans, a retired restaurant owner, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, in Galveston.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. Craig Rhoten officiating.
He was born in Henrietta. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Virginia Reed of Monahans; sons, Ronald Reed of Calif., and Carlton Reed of Fla.; daughter, Ruth Hair of Hobbs, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Jacob Xavier Brito, 5, of Odessa, a student at Sam Houston Elementary School, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Endira Brito of Odessa; father, Daniel Rodriguez of Midland; stepfather, Christopher Roger Galindo of Odessa; brother, Jonathan Galindo of Odessa; sister, Brenda Roque of Odessa; half brothers, Lorenzo Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez and Nathaniel Rodriguez, all of Midland; half sister, Alazaye Rodriguez of Midland; grandparents, Leticia and Romero Brito, Olivia Muro and Tony Galindo, all of Odessa, Ramona Trevinio and Andy Rodriguez, both of Midland; and great-grandparents, Dora H. She was born in Abilene and moved to Seminole from Denver City 18 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Son, Butch Hazle of Seminole; sister, Joyce Smyer of Ruidoso Downs, N.M.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
