ALPINE — Juanita Ramos, 85, of Alpine, a homemaker, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at a local hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
She was born in Alpine and was a lifelong resident. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Linda Tarango of El Paso, Mary Jo Martinez of Odessa and Margret DeLaO of Fayettevile, Ark.; sons, David Ramos of Jersey City, N.J., Jimmy Ramos, Ruben Ramos and Alfredo Ramos, all of El Paso, Frank Ramos, Henry Ramos and Juan Ramos, all of Alpine, Jerry Ramos of Odessa and Robert Ramos of Monahans; 33 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

BIG SPRING — Daphne Meador Smith, 95, of Big Spring, a former employee of the Big Spring Bombardier School, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at an Odessa nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.
She was born in Snyder and was a lifelong resident of Big Spring. She was Methodist.
SURVIVOR: Sister, Jamie Grimland of Irving.

Frances Stuteville
BIG SPRING — Frances Stuteville, 76, of Big Spring, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Tim Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.
She was born in Bridgeport and was a resident of Big Spring for over 40 years. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Ross Stuteville of Big Spring; sons, Larry Clement and James Tackel, both of Odessa; stepson, Gary Stuteville of Odessa; stepdaughter, Paula Turner of Houston; sisters, Doris Lambright, Katie Henderson and Janell Flecher, all of Lake Brownwood; brothers, Billy Pewitt of Brownwood and Bernard Pewitt of Post; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Oleta Beatrice Franklin, 75, of Odessa died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

ODESSA — Paul Reed Van Zandt, 82, of Odessa died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, in Odessa.
Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

KERMIT — Anastacio R. Moralez, Sr., 60, of Kermit, a construction worker, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital in Kermit.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. today at his son Catarino’s home in the Perry Addition. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Barranco Azul, Mexico. He was a resident of Kermit for 27 years. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Maria Del Refugio Moralez of Kermit; sons, Arturo Moralez, Jesus Manuel Moralez, Anastacio Moralez, Jr., Catarino Moralez, all of Seminole, and Oscar Moralez of Andrews; daughters, Leticia Amaro, Maria Del Socorro Saucedo, Esther Ramos and Nancy Valles, all of Kermit; parents Catarino and Tomasa Moralez of Odessa; sister, Elfida Sandoval, of Odessa; 28 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
