ODESSA - Clara Dennis, 92, of Odessa, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, in Fort Worth.
Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Letha Brown
ODESSA - Letha Brown, 79, of Odessa, a retired daycare provider, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Hospice House of Odessa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Weeks Dubose officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Liberty Hill and moved to Odessa in 1958 from Edna. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Clinton Brown of Bracketville; daughters, Carmen Lightfoot and Lorietta Lightfoot, both of Odessa; brother, Leon Jay of Liberty Hill; sisters, Marie Holland of Yazoo City, Miss., Wilma Jackson of Marble Falls, Loyce Jackson of Converse and Joyce Davis of Schertz; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Genaro Gonzalez
ODESSA - Genaro Bustamante Gonzalez, 68, of Odessa, owner of an oil hauling company, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Danny Willis officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Fort Stockton.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Eulalia Weaver of Odessa; son, Abel Gonzalez of Odessa; sisters, Antonia Dominguez and Tome Delgado, both of Austin; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Nina Hill
MARTINDALE - Nina B. Hill, 97, of Odessa, a retired teacher, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Humphreys cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Silver City, N.M., and moved to Odessa in 1992. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Pat Kempe of Dallas and Madge Terhune of Odessa; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Jack Wilson Sr.
BORGER - Jack Wilson Sr., 70, of Andrews, a retired gang pusher and welder for Phillips Petroleum Co., died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Jim Terry officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Clovis, N.M., and moved to Andrews in 1973 from Hobbs, N.M. He was a Marines veteran of the Korean War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Frances Wilson of Andrews; son, Jack Wilson Jr. of Andrews; daughter, Karen Wright of Balko, Okla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Kessler Wood Sr.
ODESSA - Kessler E. Wood Sr., 86, of Odessa died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at his residence.
Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Ralph Earl Mandson
ODESSA - Ralph Earl Mandson, 47, passed away March 29, 2002, in Midland, Texas. Ralph was born May 31, 1954 in Odessa, Texas to Eula and Dalmore Mandson Sr. He is a 1972 graduate of Ector High School and attended Odessa College and Prairie View A&M University.
To cherish his memory, he leaves the following: his mother, Eula Mandson; three sons, Ralph Jr., Wesley, Romeo and their mother Donna Riggins; one daughter, Jamicka; sister, Beulah Dangerfield and brother-in-law Don Dangerfield, Jessie Mae Heslip, Debra and Peggy Womack, and Gloria Hardeman; brother, Eddie Mandson; aunt Doring Carroll and uncle Bud Caroll; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
His father, Dalmore Mandson Sr., brother Dalmore Mandson Jr. and daughter Kadijfa Mandson preceded him in death.
He was the manager of the Rex Electronics in Midland for several years. He previously worked at Sears in both Midland and Odessa.
An extremely dedicated and hardworking man, he spent the majority of his time at work. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Viewing and visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. April 2, at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. R.T. McNeil officiating.
Services entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home.

Dell King
MIDLAND - Dell King, 77, of Odessa, a retired laborer, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cuthbert Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Oklahoma and had been a resident of Brownwood. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Roy F. King of Odessa; son, Don Louis Jones of Odessa; daughter, Linda McCollum of Odessa; stepson, Bill King of Hurst; stepdaughters, Pat Potts of Arlington and Beverly Birch of Garland; sister, Gilma Morgan of Arlington; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

James Seebach
ODESSA - James Michael Seebach, 60, of Odessa, an optometrist for Town and Country Optical, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Highland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Akron, Ohio, and moved to Odessa in 1979 from Midland. He was an Army veteran. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Sandra Seebach of Odessa; son, Matt Seebach of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters, Lynda Menapace of El Paso and Tonya Neal of Odessa; brother, John David Seebach of El Paso; sister, Kristine LeClair of Alamogordo, N.M.; and five grandchildren.

Hugh Wilson
ODESSA - Hugh Wilson, 78, of Odessa, a retired television repairman, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Hospice House.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Odessa cemetery with Tom Todd officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Chisholm, Ala. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVOR: Sister, Harrell Jones of Petrey, Ala.

ODESSA - Rosa Funes, 32, of Odessa died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Alexander Henderson
LUBBOCK - Alexander Henderson, 55, of Lubbock died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Services are pending with Jamison’s Funeral Home.

Merle Coy David
CLARENDON - Merle Coy David, 67, of Buffalo, Okla., a musician, died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at Grace Living Center Nursing Home in Buffalo, Okla.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2002, at Robertson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Clarendon with Pastor Bryan Knowles officiating.
He was born in Clarendon and was a resident of Odessa from 1959 to 1980, involved in the music industry.
He is survived by his brothers, Ray David of Clarendon and Eldon David of Oklahoma City; sisters, Rita Gonzales of Amarillo and Jewel Millan of Tucson, Ariz.; children, Karren Deniece Poucher of Taylor and William Merle David of Odessa; the mother of his children, Betty David; four stepchildren, Jim Collum, Susie Garrett and Shirley Collum, all of Odessa, and David Collum of Arlington; eight step grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren.

Theda Martin Lane
ODESSA - Theda Lane, 82, passed away the evening of March 8, 2002, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, John and Becky Lane of Katy.
Theda was born in 1919 in Roswell, N.M., and spent most of her adult life in Odessa where she was an artist, wife and mother. Theda is well known for her paintings of Texas landscapes and for her realistic wood carvings of birds. She was a member of the Odessa Art Association, the Watercolor Horizon Group and the Odessa Cultural Council. Theda was an active volunteer, working for hospice and delivering meals to the homebound through Highland Methodist Church, where she was a founding member. But Theda gave most of her time to the Ellen Noel Art Museum in Odessa. She volunteered 200 to 250 hours a year there for the past 17 years. Among other duties, she served as a gallery attendant twice a week, ordered books for the museum store, judged student art shows and donated her own art to raise money for the museum. Theda was a huge influence on her granddaughters, both of whom are pursuing careers in the arts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and brothers, Bill and Ted Martin.
She is survived by her sisters, Betty Domitrovich, Lea Hall and Alva Elliot, and her two sons and four grandchildren, Michael Lane of Middletown, Ohio, husband of Priscilla Lane and father of Megan and Geoffrey Lane, and John Lane of Katy, husband of Becky and father of Alexis and Austin.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Highland Methodist Church, 1808 N. Dixie Blvd., in Odessa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Houston Hospice, 8811 Gaylord, Suite 100, Houston, Texas, 77024. Please include Theda’s name and request an acknowledgement sent to John Lane.
