ODESSA - Arley Lloyd Stafford, 70, of Odessa, owner of Tejas Shooting Sports, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Royce Smalling officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Mobeetie.
SURVIVORS: Son, Michael Lloyd Stafford; brothers, Ronald Stafford of Wylie and Glen Stafford of Amarillo; and four grandchildren.
Francisco Tavarez
ODESSA - Francisco Tavarez, 47, of Odessa, a musician, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Alicia Tavarez Cortez of Odessa; sons, Francisco Tavarez and Jorge Gregorio, both of Austin, Julio Cesar Tavarez of Odessa and Jamie Javier Tavarez of New Mexico; daughter, Luz Maria Tavarez of Odessa; brothers, Fernando Tavarez of Roseville and Anastacio Tavarez of Lubbock; sisters, Lupita Rojo, Mary Ortiz, Eva Carrasco, Antonia Garcia and Rosa Hernandez, all of Odessa, Blanca Munoz of Juarez, Mexico, Martha Madrid of El Paso and Bertha Munoz of Juarez, Mexico; and one grandchild.
Gene Templeton
SANTA FE, N.M. - Gene A. Templeton, 63, of Santa Fe, N.M., athletic director for Capital High School, died Dec. 9, 1997, at an Albuquerque, N.M., hospital.
A memorial service was held Dec. 13, 1997 at Holy Faith Episcopal Church. Arrangements were by Berardinello Family Funeral Service.
He was born in Greenwood, Ark., and was Episcopalian.
SURVIVORS: Wife, D.G. Templeton of Santa Fe; sons, Lance Templeton of Alexandria, La., and Les Templeton of Los Alamos, N.M.; brother, John R. Templeton of Brownwood; sister, Nancy Blackburn of Richmond; and two grandchildren.

HOBBS, N.M. - Margie L. Brooker, 71, of Hobbs, N.M., died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at her home.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Belvue Baptist Church in Hobbs with the Rev. Gavin Vaughan officiating. Arrangements by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
She was a resident of Hobbs since 1960, and a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Preston Brooker, Dale Brooker and C.D. Brooker, all of Hobbs; daughter, Jo Ann King of Hobbs; brothers, C.B. Tippett of Odessa and Avery Tippett of Hobbs; sisters, Mozelle Long of Comanche, Juanita Steadham of Graham and Jo Wilson of Victoria; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

FORT STOCKTON - Houston James Capers, infant son of Stephen and Rosie Capers, died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at East Hill cemetery with the Rev. Reed Kurtz officiating. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, and was Apostolic.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Stephen and Rosie Capers of Fort Stockton; sister, Heather Ann Capers of Fort Stockton; grandparents, Fredie and Terry Capers, and Eulalio and Petra Rodriguez, all of Fort Stockton.

ODESSA - Raul R. Guerrero, 75, of Odessa, a retired bartender, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at his home.
Rosary will be said at 7 tonight at 2744 Walnut St. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Luiz Cepeda officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Rosario Guerrero of Odessa; sons, Mauricio Guerrero, Jorge Guerrero, Juan Casas, Lorenzo Casas and Manuel Casas, all of Odessa, and Carlos Guerrero of Long Beach, Calif.; daughters, Genoveva Guerrero, Felicitas Guerrero, Maria Guerrero, Gabriela Guerrero and Maria Herrera, all of Odessa, and Alma Lilia Ramirez of Chihuahua City, Mexico; 65 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

MIDLAND - Alva Rado Archer II, 73, an attorney, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998, in Mercy Hospital, Charlotte, N.C.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Golf Course Church of Christ with the Rev. Tom Vermillion officiating. Interment will be at the Terry County Memorial cemetery in Brownfield. Arrangements made by Brownfield Funeral Home.
He was born May 31, 1924, in Dallas and served in the U.S. Navy in 1942. He was a Church of Christ member.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Margie Archer of Midland; sons, John Archer of New Braunfels, David Archer of Austin and Rado Archer III of Dallas; daughters, Gail Godlewski of Houston, Nancy Yanochick of Houston and Alyssa Archer of Philadelphia; step-son, Russell Fox of Charlotte, N.C., step-daughter, Jeannene Mills of Austin; brother, Jim Archer of San Antonio; nine grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

MIDLAND - Augustia C. McCurdy, 92, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Sammy Hayes and Mark Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements made by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born Dec. 26, 1905, in Dublin, Texas and had lived in Midland since 1971. He was a member of the Living Way Foursquare Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Wilma McCurdy of Midland and sister, Delma Ross of Houston.

EASTLAND - Pascal Curtis Oglesby, 89, a former Kermit resident, died Jan. 15, 1998, in Eastland.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Eastland City cemetery with the Rev. Lyndell Garrett officiating. Arrangements made by the Edwards Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1909, in Hamilton County.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Ernest Monroe Oglesby of Odessa and Arthur Ray Oglesby of Brownwood; daughter, Joetta Langford of Olden; sisters, Mabel Garrett and Earlene Cave, both of Eastland, Earnestine Pierce of Clyde and Hazel Estes of Desdemona; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

ODESSA - Guadalupe L. De Rascon, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at the Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with Adrian Rocha officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico. Arrangements made by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Cuchillo Parado, Mexico and she had lived in Odessa 12 years. She was a Mormon.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Hector Rascon, Oracio Rascon and Fernando Rascon, all of Midland and Rafael Rascon of Hurst; daughter, Maria Ellena Rascon De Fuentes of Arlington; sisters, Celia Levario of Houston and Usebia Levario and Margarita Levario, both of Odessa; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
