ODESSA — Maye Oura Hale ‘Grannie’ Clark, 90, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at The Church of the Way, Truth and Life with Paul H. Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Sayre, Okla., and had been a resident of Morton before moving to Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Polly Fern Felkins of Odessa and Mary Joyce Hughey of Comstock; son, Paul Hayden Clark Jr. of Odessa; sisters, Lillie Irene Turney of Dallas, Elizabeth Herring of Sugar Land, Nola Graves of Lubbock and Ola Layton of Plains; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Horace Grogan
KERMIT — Horace Douglas Grogan, 77, of Kermit, a retired operator for El Paso Natural Gas Co., died Friday, May 31, 2002, at Kermit Health Care Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Emmett Upchurch officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Eastview cemetery in Vernon. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Pampa and was a resident of Kermit for 42 years. He was an Army veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Doris Jean Grogan of Kermit; sons, Michael D. Grogan of Bakersfield, Calif., and Ray Grogan of Odessa; daughter, Celia Diane Reed of Waxahachie; brother, Wallace Grogan of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Louise McClendon
ODESSA — Louise McClendon, 68, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Sherwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Hiser officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Edinburg and moved to Odessa in 1958 from Abilene. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Philip Randall McClendon of Arlington, Robert Charles McClendon of Denver and Lee Byron McClendon of Odessa; daughter, Judy Brem of Odessa; brother, Ronal Byron Kirkpatrick of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Lucille Oliver
MONAHANS — Lucille Aleen Oliver, 82, of Monahans, a retired food service employee, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Monahans Managed Care Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Larry Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Tamarisk cemetery in Grandfalls. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Kinsing. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Billy Oliver of Monahans, Jerry Gilkey of Smackover, Ariz., and Bobby Gilkey of Odessa; daughters, Kathy Pules of Monahans, Mary Allen of Eldorado, Ark., and Nita Roberts of Dickinson, N.D.; stepdaughter, Lawana Oliver of Monahans; sister, Verenna Nevans of Odessa; 31 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Patricio Sarabia
FORT STOCKTON — Patricio Rodriguez Sarabia, 83, of Fort Stockton, a retired employee of the Texas Highway Department, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, in Fort Stockton.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Marathon.
SURVIVORS: Son, Patricio F. Sarabia of Fort Stockton; brother, Catalino Sarabia of Andrews; sister, Ignacia Saenz of San Angelo; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

William Smith
PYOTE — William C. Smith, 89, of Monahans, a retired automobile mechanic, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Pyote cemetery with Jason Covington officiating. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Borden County and was a resident of Monahans for 10 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Vickie Lynn DuCharme of Page, Ariz.; and sisters, Pat Hubble of Seminole, Joey Ballew of Andrews and Irene Creighton of Gail.

Corine Benton
ODESSA — Corine Benton, 82, of Odessa, a retired real estate broker, passed away Friday, April 19, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Gerdon, Ark. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Lloyd Benton of Odessa; brothers, Russell McClain of Claremore, Okla., and Fred McClain of Texarkana.

Iwana Gilson
CRANE — Iwana Gilson, 80, of Crane, died Sunday April 14, 2002, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Crane County cemetery in Crane. Arrangements by French Mortuary. Local arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home.
She was born in May.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Rex Mitchell of San Angelo, Randy Mitchell of Albuquerque, N.M., Danny Mitchell of Golthwaite and Lyn Mitchell of Odessa; brother, Ray Holland of Odessa; sisters, Jo Henderson of San Angelo and Judy Ritter of New Braunsville; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

ALPINE — Paul Thomas Henderson, 84, of Alpine, an electronic design engineer, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at Pecos Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip McCraw officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Bay City, Mich. He was a Navy veteran.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Marie Lucile Henderson of Alpine; Daughters, Paula Jean McClure of Bay City, Mich., Christine Reeves of Alpine and Rose Marie Prouser of Burbank, Calif.; son, Kent Douglas Henderson of Baltimore; sister, Nancy Center of Clearwater, Fla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

SEATTLE, Wash. — Patsye Y. Miller, 70, of Seattle, Wash., died April 17, 2002, in Seattle.
There will be no services.
She was born in Pecos.
SURVIVORS: Son, Larry Wayne Miller; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

EARLY — Earie Lee Minica Nichols, 74, of Brownwood died Friday, April 19, 2002, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Brown County. She was Baptist.

She was born in Thackerville, Okla.

He was born in Hope. He was Catholic.
