Ronald Joe Robitson Sr.
ODESSA — Ronald Joe Robitson Sr., 49, of Odessa passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at his residence. He was born March 3, 1952, in Odessa to Joe and Dorothy Robitson.
He married Anna Gail Williams Jan. 24, 1979. He worked as a maintenance man for West Texas Drum and he also worked as a welder. He loved to hunt and fish and he enjoyed being with his family. He was a member of the Elk Lodge and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Robitson.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Gail Robitson of Odessa; daughters, Christina Hollis and husband Chester of Odessa and April Lowrance and husband Royce of San Angelo; sons, Ronald Joe Robitson Jr. and Kody Eric Robitson, both of Odessa; mother, Dorothy Biggers of Big Lake; brother, Dennis Robitson of Odessa; sisters, Julia Rowland of Big Lake and Sherry Cordle of Odessa; and two grandchildren, Keith and Kayla Lowrance.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Anell at Star Hospice.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today, Jan. 30, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ray Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Lily Lois Arnett
ODESSA — Lily Lois Arnett, 89, of Houston passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in Houston. Mrs. Arnett was born Nov. 17, 1912, in Cleburne. She married J.H. “Pete” Arnett on Dec. 5, 1931, in Longview. They moved to Odessa in 1952.
Lois had been noted for her arts and crafts talents in crocheting, sewing and quilting as well as her gardening abilities, which earned her several yard of the month awards.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995.
She is survived by her son, Ray Arnett and his wife Betty of Houston; and three grandchildren, Sandy Polson of Sugar Land, Sharon Arnett and Michael Arnett, both of Houston.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Alexandra Lea Whitehead
ODESSA — Alexandra “Alex” Whitehead, 2 years, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, 2002, at her home in Midland after a lengthy illness.
Alex was born Nov. 19, 1999, in Odessa. She is the daughter of Kim and Jake Whitehead of Midland.
Survivors include her parents; grandparents, Ray and Norma Alexander of Big Spring and Dan and Peggy Whitehead of San Angelo; great-great-grandmother, Genevieve Valladao of California; great-grandparents, Buddy and Bessie Whitehead of Odessa, Fern Alexander of Big Spring, Anita Nall of Mineral Wells and Nita Valladao of California; aunt and uncles, Christy and Kent Brown of The Colony and Wes Whitehead of Arlington; numerous great-aunts, uncles and cousins; and special caregiver, Yolanda Jimenez.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland with Dr. David Ring, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Big Spring, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
The family will be at 2904 Dora in Midland.
Memorials may be made to AMBUCS Living Endowment, Box 5127, High Point, N.C., 27262.

Asha V. Isaacs-Call
ODESSA — Asha Call died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at her home after a long and very difficult battle with Shy-Drager Syndrome, a virtually untreatable form of Parkinson’s disease. Her courage, optimism and determination were an inspiration to all whose lives she touched.
Asha was born May 7, 1957, in the Indian state of Kerela to Alice Joseph Isaacs and K.V. Isaacs. She was the scion of an Old Anglican family of India and was baptized in the Anglican Church there. As a child, she lived in Kuwait, where her father was an executive with the Kuwait Oil Co. Asha later attended boarding school in India. Her university education consisted of time in Great Britain at Cambridge and a degree from the University of Madras in India.
Asha came to the United States in 1989. She married Frank Call Sept. 1, 1990. She served as vice president of the company she and her husband founded, F.A. International. Asha served on the board at St. John’s Episcopal School. She was an active member of St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church in Odessa until the time of her illness. She and Frank have two sons, William Isaac Call, age 8, and Alexander Christian Call, age 6.
In addition to her husband and sons, Asha is survived by a brother, Rincy Isaacs of Cleveland, Ohio; and sisters, Reeny Tharian of Sunnyville and Lee Logan of Tampa, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church. Guest celebrant, the Rev. Laura Deaderick, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Autonomic Dysfunction Center, Vanderbilt University, Room AA, Medical Center North, Nashville, Tenn., 37232, or St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church, 4141 Tanglewood, Odessa, Texas, 79762.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Art Burk
ODESSA — Art Burk, 72, of Odessa passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at his home in Odessa. He was born Sept. 15, 1929, in Enid, Okla. He attended Enid schools and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in business marketing. He served in the Air Force in Korea as a first lieutenant. He and Coleen Williams were married in Oklahoma City in 1950. They moved to Odessa in 1954. He retired from Southland Corp. after a career in convenience store management. He was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Sue Burk, and two brothers, Chester and Wayne Burk.
Survivors include his wife, Coleen; sons, Jeff Burk and Andy Burk and wife Lee Ann of Odessa; and five grandchildren, Nia Moore, Henry, William, Austin and Ellen Burk.
Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. today, Dec. 22, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Bushart officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family has requested memorials be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

Alpha R. Hogan
ODESSA — Alpha R. Hogan, 88, of Odessa passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at Hospice House in Odessa. She was born April 4, 1913, in Bristow, Okla., to Gordon and Laura Henderson.
She married William L. Hogan in 1933. They moved to Odessa in 1949. She loved crocheting, baking cakes and sewing. She was a member of Bible Freewill Baptist Church.
Her husband, William in 1982, and a son, RD Hogan in 1997, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Bill Hogan and wife Anne of Odessa; daughter, Reta Lowell of Odessa; daughter in law, Jodee Hogan; brother, Willard Henderson of Youngtown, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Revs. James Qualls and Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Buell Chester “B.C.” Stone
ODESSA — Buell Chester “B.C.” Stone, a World War II veteran, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born May 8, 1922, in Pharoah, Okla., to Bula and Chester Stone. He married Chris Lee in 1947. He retired from Mapp Tank Co. in 1984.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Trisha Thompson; sister, Inez Tyler; brother, Clyde Stone; nephew, Rodney Tyler; and great-niece, Heather Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Chris Stone of Odessa; son, Stephen Stone of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Nicki Brumley of Odessa; sisters, Mabel Beaty and Bula Christmas, both of Marshall, and June White of Longview; grandchildren, Lana Wheeler, Torie Smith, Tina Polson, Gary Brumley, Kelly Ellis, Wendy Huntley and Chelsea Stone; great-grandchildren, Zackery, Zayne and Danielle Smith, Bailey Martinez, Channing Williams and Justice Brumley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Brumley, Gary Holloway, Paul Brumley, Eric Polson, Fabian Aranda and Joe Jones.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Dec. 22, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Frederick Deerfield Jr.
FORT STOCKTON — Frederick W. Deerfield Jr., 69, of Fort Stockton, a laboratory medical technician, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Larry Krueger officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio, and was a resident of Fort Stockton for 50 years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Judy Deerfield of Fort Stockton; son, Scott Deerfield of Lubbock; daughters, Tasha Deerfield and Tracy Roome, both of Midland, and Kimberly Lynn of San Angelo; stepmother, Algie Deerfield of Denton; sisters, Ann Packett of Fort Worth and Diana Ray of Denton; and brother, George Deerfield of Fort Worth.

Wilma Hardwick
McCAMEY — Wilma Bearden Hardwick, 66, of Del Rio, a retired nurse, died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Wood officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements by G.W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in McCamey and had been a resident. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Ronald S. Hardwick of Del Rio; daughters, Norma Thornton of Fort Worth and Linda Zambrano of Odessa; son, Boyd Paladin Schmitto of McCamey; stepdaughters, Rhonda Stanton of Odessa and Rena Black of Andrew; stepson, Richard Hardwick of Odessa; three grandchildren; and 10 step grandchildren.

Nicole Janosik
ODESSA — Nicole Beth Janosik, an infant, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Johnny and Sally Janosik Jr. of Odessa; brothers, Paul Renteria and Chris Renteria, both of Odessa; grandparents, Johnny Sr. and Patricia Janosik of Odessa and Ruben Sr. and Manuela Marisal of Pecos; and great-grandparents, May Gaile and Mary Janosik, both of Odessa.
