Pat Armstrong Jr.
TISHOMINGO, Okla. — Pat “Butch” Armstrong Jr., 59, of San Angelo, a truck driver, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at his residence.
Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Clark Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mary Ewing officiating. Burial was at Condon Grove cemetery in Milburn, Okla. Arrangements by Clark Funeral Service.
He was born in Ardmore, Okla., and had been a resident of Odessa and Fort Stockton.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Daryl Armstrong of San Angelo and Craig Armstrong of Dallas; father, Pat Armstrong Sr. of Midland; sisters, Virginia Earhart and Beverly Bristow, both of Midland; and two grandchildren.

Robert Fitzgerald
LEAGUE CITY — Robert Shannon “Bobby” Fitzgerald, 44, of San Leon, a welding inspector, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at his residence.
Services were at 4 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Arrangements by Claire Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born in Henderson and had been a resident of Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Vicki Fitzgerald of Salt Lake City; daughters, Katja Garcia of Anson and Shauna Thompson of Salt Lake City; son, Kelly Fitzgerald of Salt Lake City; stepfather, James Russell of San Leon; sister, Sharron Fitzgerald McCulley of League City; grandmother, Evelyn Fitzgerald of Tyler; and two grandchildren.

Jack Hardin
ODESSA — Jack C. Hardin, 76, of Odessa, a retired Odessa police officer, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Sherwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Hiser officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Crawford, Okla. He was a Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Leslie Hardin of Rockford, Ill.; daughters, Jackie Leftwich of Odessa and Shirley Gawlik of Fort Worth; brother, Travis Hardin of Canadian; sister, Wanzell Davis of Elk City, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

Lois Mills
ANDREWS — Lois B. Mills, 79, of Ardmore, Okla., a former dispatcher for the Andrews Sheriff’s Department, died Friday, June 21, 2002, in Ardmore.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Short officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Big Cedar, Okla., and had been a resident of Andrews from 1955 to 2000. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jim C. Mills of Ardmore; son, Steve Bradley Mills Sr. of Andrews; sisters, Clara Martin and Emogene Thomison, both of Ardmore; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

Elida Orona
KERMIT — Elida Orona, 63, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Grace Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will be at the Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Del Rio and had been a lifelong resident of Kermit. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Petronilo Orona of Kermit; sons, Ruben Orona of Flagstaff, Ariz., Pete Orona, Mauricio Orona and Martin Orona, all of Kermit, and Javier Orona of Odessa; daughter, Romelia Flores of Midland; brother, Augustin Bill of Kermit; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Maria Vargas
MONAHANS — Maria H. Vargas, 86, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at Monahans Managed Care Center.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home.
She was born in Marfa and was a resident of Monahans for 29 years. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Baltazar Vargas Jr. of Crane, Able Vargas, Andres Vargas and Joe Vargas, all of Monahans; daughters, Maria Luisa Sanchez, Thersa Tavarez, Antonia Tavarez, Viviana Portillo and Manuela Leyva, all of Monahans, and Enedina Gonzales of Big Lake; brother, Guillermo Hoyer of Presidio; sisters, Lidia Gutierrez and Emilia Gardea, both of Fabens, and Petra Hoyer of Odessa; 47 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Marianne Ingram
ODESSA — Marianne Ingram, 69, of Toyah died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Pecos Funeral Home.

Evelyn Farquhar
BIG SPRING — Evelyn N. Farquhar, 85, of Big Spring died on Friday, June 21, 2002, at Odessa Hospice House.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Rick Cunningham.
She was born in Fluvanna. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Son, Ron Farquhar of Odessa; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Eufemia Flores
PECOS — Eufemia “Fayg” Lara Flores, 72, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Friday, June 21, 2002, at her residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ben Flores and Arturo Banuelas officiating. A rosary will be said today at 7:30 p.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Rosa cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Freddy Flores, Joe Flores and David Flores, all of Pecos, Arturo Flores of Albuquerque, N.M., Ruben Flores of Midland and Michael Flores of Austin; daughters, Linda Luckie of Orange, Ala., Virginia Natividad of Big Spring, Ida Natividad and Irene Natividad, both of Pecos; brother, Beto Valencia of San Fernando, Calif.; sisters, Millie Villalobas and Eloisa Sais, both of Pecos and Carmen Contreras of Brownsfield; 29 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Marla Nall-Olyer
ODESSA — Marla Jo Nall-Olyer, 47, of Big Spring, a homemaker, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Ector County cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Buggs officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Colorado City. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Zzane Olyer and Zzackray Olyer, both of Odessa; stepson, Rozz Olyer of San Angelo; stepdaughters, Tori Covert of San Angelo, Ami Salazar of Odessa and Melody Bolton of New York City; brothers, Boyd Nall and Steve Nall, both of Big Spring; sister, Teri Nall of Big Spring; and five grandchildren.

Willie Ringener
BIG SPRING — Willie Eggleston Ringener, 95, of Big Spring, a Sunday school teacher, died Thursday, June 20, 2002 in Big Spring.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Monroe Teeters officiating, with Ben Neel assisting. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
She was born in Denton County. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, George Ringener of San Ramon, Calif.; brother, Billie Eggleston of Midland; sisters, Beatrice Hardin of Odessa, Helen Cowan of Denton and Faye Walker of Big Spring; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Joseph Cooper
ODESSA — Joseph Cooper, 83, of Odessa died Saturday, June 22, 2002, at Deering Nursing Home.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Eunice L. Grant
ODESSA — Eunice L. Grant, 77, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Hospice House in Odessa. She was born April 8, 1924, in Ranger to Jack and Hettie Vroman.
She married Donald Grant on Sept. 19, 1943, in Amarillo. She managed the Western Union during World War II and worked as Sears Control Clerk for a few years. She worked for Foremost Dairy for 10 years, before retiring with Champion Chemical in 1985. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Her husband, Donald Leather “Red” Grant, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Don Grant of Odessa; daughters, Neita J. Grant of San Angelo and Nancy J. Hubbard of Odessa; a sister, Norma Ruth Forbes of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Gene Grant, Lynan Travis, Sammy Don Hubbard and John Lewis Hubbard; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Grant’s services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Her family has requested memorials be directed to Hospice House or Home Hospice in Odessa.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Sam Bob Tate
ODESSA — Sam Bob Tate, 77, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1924, in Pine Bluff, Ark. He married Evelyn Myer on March 22, 1952, in Houston.
Mr. Tate retired from the oilfield. He was a 50-year member of the Alamo 44 Masonic Lodge in San Antonio. He was also a member of the Chapter and Council Sam J. Helm No. 445 and past president of Odessa Shrine Club and Philanthropy chairman from 1991 to 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Tate of Odessa; son, Thomas N. Tate of Odessa; daughters, Sammye Gail Burnett of Houston and Patricia Ann Tate of Boulder, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Brian and Lauren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Preston Weatherly officiating.
The family will receive guests at the residence after the service.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Theresa Ann Hill Witt
ODESSA — Theresa Ann Hill Witt, 31, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1969, in Odessa.
Theresa graduated from Permian High School in 1988 and attended Odessa College. She had worked for Southwest Heritage Credit Union for 12 years.
She is survived by her son, Caleb Ryan Witt of Odessa; mother, Marsha Ward and husband Dan of Odessa; father, Lonnie Hill and wife Fran of Odessa; brother, Sammie Hill of Montrose, Calif.; grandparents, Pete and Mary Forness of Odessa and Irene Hill of Oklahoma; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dean Kelm officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the fund for Caleb Witt at Southwest Heritage Credit Union or the American Cancer Society.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
