ODESSA - Charles Anthony Mastin, 45, of Odessa, an oilfield roughneck, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Open Door Assembly of God Church. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Dallas.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Nicole Ann Mastin and Christina Mastin, both of Odessa; parents, Chuck Mastin of Dallas and Patricia Weathers of Tyler; brothers, Roger Mastin of Odessa, Clay Mastin and Jeff Spruill, both of Dallas; sisters, Connie Mastin and Priscilla Weathers, both of Dallas; and two grandchildren.

ODESSA - Diana Joy Smith, 41, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at her residence.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Don Smith of Odessa; son, Chris Smith of Odessa; brother, Howard Duane Reynolds of Marion, Ind.; and sisters, Bobbie Jones and Whitney Gibbs, both of Dallas, Marie Milam and Zella Lippe, both of Odessa, and Lori Dean of Marion.

ODESSA - J.W. Taylor, 87, of Odessa, a retired assistant superintendent for the West Texas area for Hunt Oil Co., died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be at 5 p.m. today at the Throckmorton cemetery in Throckmorton. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Throckmorton.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Bernice Leota Taylor of Odessa; daughters, Mollie Marie Brittain of Eastland and Judy Kay Pomroy of Odessa; sister, Opal Loretta Bentley of Monahans; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

PASCAGOULA, Miss. — Myra Shotts Bonney, 85, of Odessa, a beautician, died Friday, June 14, 2002, in Odessa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jackson County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home.
She was born in Newton, Miss., and moved to Odessa in 1999. She was Mormon.
SURVIVORS: Sister, Lorene Smith of Las Vegas; brother, Stennis Shotts of Lucedale, Miss.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Frank Herrin
ODESSA — Frank Jerry Herrin, 62, of Odessa, a pipeliner, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at his home.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born Arp, and moved to Odessa in 1955.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Kyle Herrin of Aztec, N.M., and Lance Herrin of Odessa; daughter, Kym Herrin of Denver, Colo.; dear friend, Wallace Craig of Odessa; sister, Ruby Jean Bolton of California; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Mi’Heaven Amajanik Shalove Jackson was stillborn Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Odessa Regional Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. George Gambrell officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

KERMIT - Henry “Slim” Bailey, 75, of Kermit, a retired electrician for the Kermit Independent School District, died Friday, April 26, 2002, at Snyder Oaks Nursing Home in Snyder.

He was born in Callahan County and was a resident of Kermit for 56 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Ina Bailey of Kermit; daughter, Rhonda Bailey-Tatro of Kermit; brother, Warren Bailey of Clyde; sisters, Eva Parrish of Moran and Marjorie Barnhill of Brady; and a grandson.

She was born in Clarksdale, Miss.

She was born in Strong, Ark.
