TOW — Marion F. Brooks, 71, of Tow, a school teacher, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, in Tow.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Tow with the Rev’s. Jerald Moore and Gerald Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Tow cemetery.
He was born in Plainview.
SIRVIVORS: Wife, Bettie Brooks of Tow; daughter, Sheri McInturff of Midland; son, Stephen Marion Brooks of Odessa; sister, Diane Wells of Palestine; brother, Bill Green of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and three granddaughters.

David Holguin
FORT DAVIS — David V. Holguin, 73, of Barstow, a retired truck driver, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos.
Mass will be celebrated today at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Fort Davis. Arrangements by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home of Pecos.
He was born in Los Angeles, Calif. He served in the U.S. Marines.
SURVIVORS: Son, Robert Holguin of San Diego, Calif.; daughters, Aurora Rodriguez of Pecos, Nancy Dutchover of Mertzon, Mary Alice Cauble and Delma Holguin, both of Fort Davis, Dorothy Garcia of Severn, Md. And Rose M. Ramos of Alpine; brothers, Angel Holguin and Ernesto Holguin, both of Lubbock, Manuel Holguin and Domingo Holguin, both of Midland; and Enrigue Holguin of San Angelo; sisters, Margie Piaz, Elidia Olgin, Carolina Holguin and Yolanda Ramirez, all of Midland; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Marion Miller
ODESSA — Marion Lulla Mitchell Miller, 90, of Kearney, Neb., a former teacher, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, in Kearney.
Services will be at 11 a.m. at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland with the Rev. Robert L. Bratcher officiating. Viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery in Odessa. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Rusk and was a long-time resident of Midland-Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Rodney E. Miller of Kearney and Gary Miller of Dumfries, Va.; step-daughter, Rosemary Browning of Odessa; step-son, Herbert E. Miller Jr. of Midland; brother, Lloyd Mitchell of Trent; sister, Velma McNair of Wills Poing; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Gregory Chadic
CRANE — Gregory Thomas Chadic, 42, of Crane died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002.
Services are pending with Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.

Rosa Bosques
ODESSA - Rosa Amelia Bosques, 58, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at her residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Chapa Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Chapa Funeral Home.
She was born in Coahuila, Mexico. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Jose Bosques of Midland and Rosendo Bosques Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Rosa Benavides, Janie Valdez, Maria Bosques-Porter and Romelia Bosques, all of Odessa; father, Jesus Alvarado of Rio Bravo, Mexico; brothers, Robert Alvarado, Pablo Alvarado and Javier Alvarado, all of Rio Bravo, Mexico, Mario Alvarado and Jorge Alvarado, both of Saltillo, Mexico; sisters, Hermilia Alvarado-Gonzales of Rio Bravo, Mexico, Maria Alvarado and Leticia Alvarado, both of Saltillo, Mexico; and eight grandchildren.

LaTrelle Beeson
ODESSA - LaTrelle Love Beeson, 75, of Humble, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2002, in Humble.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in LaGrange.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Jackie Beeson-Jones of Houston; son, Daniel Beeson of New Caney; brothers, C.J. Thompson of Tow and Conrad Yarborough of Humble; sister, May Dell Lawley of Llano; and one grandchild.

Wanda Hancock
ODESSA - Wanda Lee Hancock, 56, of Odessa, a retired cook, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chapa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Good officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Services and Chapa Funeral Home.
She was born in Goliad.
SURVIVORS: Son, John M. Hancock of Gardendale; mother, Mary Smith of Gardendale; father, Fred Smith of Odessa; brothers, Truman Smith of Cedar Park and Johnnie Smith of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

FRANKSTON CITY - Odessa Rash, 97, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Frankston City cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Hilburn officiating. Arrangements by Thompson Funeral Home.
She was born in Gallatin. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Billy Jack Rash of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

MONAHANS - Alvaro 'Al' Lujan Rios, 67, of Monahans, a retired oilfield operator, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery.
He was born in Marfa, and had been a resident of Monahans for 40 years. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Rosa Rios of Monahans; sons, Mario Rios of Carrolton and Alvaro Rios Jr. of Monahans; daughters, Elma Terrazas and Irma Rios, both of Monahans; brother, Marcos Rios Jr. of Odessa; sisters, Aurora Renteria of Pecos and Alicia Rodriguez of Monahans; nine stepbrothers and stepsisters; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Sally Sophia Rizo, 85, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Bristow officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
She was born in Staunton, Ill.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Marquita 'Margo' Rizo of Odessa; and one granddaughter.

ODESSA - Wilford Sam Majors Sr., 72, of Midland, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at Terrace West Nursing Center.
Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Will Evridge Jr.
ALPINE — Will “Bill” Evridge Jr., 79, of Alpine, a former rancher, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at a Fort Stockton Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Dennison. He was a veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Son, James Evridge of Papillion, Nev.; and daughters, Linda Craft of Longwood, Fla., and Patricia Hill of San Leandro, Calif.

Dorothy Ferguson
ANDREWS — Dorothy Ferguson, 77, of Andrews, a beautician, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at her son’s residence in Andrews.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Second Baptist Church in Andrews with the Revs. Ivy Shelton and Dale Dozier officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Georgetown. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Eldon Warren of Euless and Ken Warren of Andrews; daughter, Debbie Burnett of Andrews; sisters, Lillian Fields and Elwanda Smith, both of Andrews, Loena Keith of Roswell, N.M., Earlene Stalworth of Yuma, Ariz., and Jean Smith of Lamesa; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ODESSA — David O. Hill, 67, of Odessa, an ECISD custodian, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated today at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Rev. Serafin Avenido officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Coleman.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Julia Hill of Odessa; sons, Ruben Hill of Corpus Christi, Robert Hill of Arlington, and Israel Hill of Grand Prairie; daughters, Delia Grado and Delores Rodriguez, both of Odessa, brothers, John Hill and Hector Hill, both of Odessa; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MIDLAND — Jean Hollums Yardley Jarnagin, 68, of Midland, a former secretary, died on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, in a Midland hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Graveside Odessa with Rev. Robert Frazier officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Nally-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.
She was born in Jones County. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Thomas Dwain Yardley of Midland; daughters, Geri Ann Sass of Midland and Pamela Jean Bushong of Plano; sisters, Mary Strickland of Midland, Ruth Hughes of Odessa, Edna LaMere of Burbank, Calif., and Katie Cannon of Alabama; brother, Jack Hollums of Midland; and four grandchildren.

Guy Thompson
COLEMAN — Guy W. Thompson, 87, of Coleman died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will be at Santa Anna cemetery. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home.
He was born in Guadalupe County and had lived in Odessa and Monahans before moving to Coleman in 1981. He was a Navy veteran in World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Jessie Thompson of Coleman; son, Guy W. Thompson Jr. of Leakey; daughter, Sheron Elaine Thompson of Kerrville; stepdaughter, Pamela Hinds of Coleman; sister, Thelma Krueger of Cureo; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
