RANKIN — Charles Allen, 60, of Rankin died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, in Temple.
Services were earlier this week. Arrangements by Temple Mortuary in Temple.
He was born in Levelland. He was a Navy veteran.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Laura Heflin of Bozman, Mont.; mother, Pauline Sheffield of Rankin; and brother, Tommy Sheffield of Gatesville.

Ralph Chenault
ODESSA — Ralph Elwin Chenault, 87, of Odessa died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Quannah and moved to Odessa in the 1950s. He was a veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Bobbye Chenault of Odessa; son, Ralph “Bub” Chenault of Denton; daughters, Sandra Goff of Wichita Falls, Dana Slater of Flowermound and Debbie Lange of Odessa; and 10 grandchildren.

Felicita Garcia
ODESSA — Felicita Garcia, 78, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery in Pecos. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Barstow. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Erasmo Garcia of Odessa; sons, Eliasar Garcia of San Pedro, Coyame, Mexico, Armando Garcia and Jesus Manuel Garcia, both of Odessa; daughter, Maria G. Rico of Odessa; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Rodney Kerr
ODESSA — Rodney Wayne Kerr, 49, of Odessa, an oilfield worker, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Hamilton, Ala.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Barbara Kerr of Odessa; son, Billy Wayne Kerr of Odessa; daughter, Tammy Kerr of Odessa; mother, Lucille Kerr of Odessa; brothers, Gary Kerr, Larry Kerr, Robert Kerr and Joe Kerr, all of Odessa; and sister, Margret Burleson of Odessa.

Brenda Tucker
ODESSA — Brenda Tucker, 60, of Odessa died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Clark Racca officiating. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
She was born in Cisco.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Stacey Slade of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Jesusita Ybarra
FORT STOCKTON — Jesusita D. Ybarra, 88, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, in Fort Stockton.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born in Presidio. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Manuel M. Ybarra Sr. of Fort Stockton; sons, Manuel D. Ibarra and Lalo Ibarra, both of Fort Stockton, and Ramon Ybarra of Giddings; daughter, Maria Arcides of Fort Stockton; brothers, Jose DeAnda of Santa Maria, Calif., Enrique DeAnda of Los Angeles, Calif., and Rodolfo DeAnda of Visalia, Calif.; sisters, Cruz Veaquez of Vasalia, Calif., Cuca Bireto of El Paso and Francisca Velasquez of Oroville, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Harold Rydell
ODESSA — Harold Edwin Rydell, 83, of Midland died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at his residence.
Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Felix Tarango
ODESSA — Felix Tarango, 76, of Odessa died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Dale Clinton
ODESSA — Dale Clinton, 80, of Odessa, a retired supervisor for Odessa College, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
He is survived by his wife, Fedelia “Faye” Clinton of Odessa; sons, Bobby Clinton of Fort Worth and Curtis Clinton of Slaton; daughters, Evelyn Clinton and Carolyn Clinton, both of Odessa; brother, Kenneth “Bob” Clinton of Palm Springs, Calif.; sisters, Virgrea Session Jean Lacey and Inez Taylor, all of Palm Springs, Calif., Mary Lucas Spencer of Long Beach, Calif., Dorothy Johnson of Banning, Calif. and Bonnie McClendon of San Bernadino, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mose Clinton and his mother Offie Scourten.
He was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Garrison, Texas, the son of Mose and Offie (Scourten) Clinton. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, having attained the rank of Private First Class. He enlisted on Feb. 11, 1942, and was discharged on March 1, 1946 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Viewing and visitation will be today, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Rose of Sharon with the Rev. J.W. Hanson, pastor of Rose of Sharon, officiating. Burial will follow in the Ector cemetery in Odessa with military honors.

Sandra Gage
ODESSA — Sandra Gage, age 61, of Odessa, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born Oct. 3, 1940, in Odessa to O.C. and Mary Wofford. She lived most of her life in Odessa, having graduated from Odessa High School in 1959. She was a very loving wife and mother and was an energetic and caring homemaker. Mrs. Gage gave of herself greatly to anyone that she met.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, in the Chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Gage will lie in state from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and the family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment service will be Monday, July 8, 2002, at Bear Creek cemetery in Burnett County, Texas.
Mrs. Gage is survived by her husband, Bobby Gage of Odessa; a son, Gary Gage of Arlington; a daughter, Leslie Bosworth of Odessa; four grandchildren, Katie, Caleb and Collin Gage of Arlington and Haley Czarnikow of Odessa; a sister, Mary Johnson; and a brother, Frank Merton.

Don Glass
ODESSA — Don Glass, 59, of Odessa, passed away July 3, 2002, in Odessa. He was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Greenwood, Ark. to Earnest and Almedia Glass.
Don came to Odessa in 1951 from Arkansas. He attended Grace Baptist Church.
His father, Earnest Glass and brother Ronnie Glass preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother Almedia Glass of Odessa; brother Randy Glass of Odessa; sister Linda Autry of Odessa; sons, Michael Glass of Odessa and Don Glass of Beaumont; grandchildren, Mikayla Glass, Daniel Bishop, Amber and Chris Ybarra, Gary Don Glass, Terry Don Glass, and Jesica Dawn Glass; one great-grandchild, Levi Glass; several nieces & a nephew.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. William Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

George William Hillger, Jr.
ODESSA — George William Hillger Jr., of Odessa, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at his residence.
He was born to George and Helen Hillger Sr., Dec. 29, 1922, in Fort Stockton.
While in Fort Stockton, George was a Texaco consignee and after moving to Odessa in 1979 he became a real estate broker. He was a master mason for over 50 years with Masonic Lodge 1022 in Fort Stockton.
Survivors include his wife, June Moore Hillger of Odessa; son, George W. Hillger III of Odessa; step-son, Kenneth M. Moore of Abilene; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Graveside and Masonic services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell and Masonic Lodge 1022 officiating. If desired memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa.
Services have been entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Emilio Armandez Jr.
MIDLAND — Emilio Armandez Jr., 57, of Midland, a retired R.N., died Friday, July 5, 2002, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Ellis Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Monahans.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Tania Armandez of Midland; daughter, Salena Armandez of Midland; mother, Susie Armendarez of Odessa; and brothers, Philip Armendarez and Pete Armendarez, both of Odessa.

Skyler Greenwood
ODESSA — Skyler Greenwood, an infant, of Odessa died Friday, July 5, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. James Bridges officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Las Vegas, Nev.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Shsha Tylka of Odessa and Robert Greenwood of Las Vegas Nev.; and grandparents, Harold Tylka of Odessa and David and Barbara Clark of Las Vegas, Nev.

Carl Goetz
ODESSA — Carl H. Goetz, 79, of Odessa, a truck manager, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home.
He was born in Breckenridge. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Evelyn Goetz of Odessa; sons, Robbie Goetz of Ballinger and Phillip Roberts of Odessa; daughter, Rhonda Baldwin of Plano; and three grandchildren.
