Jim is survived by the children he loved, three sons, Philip and girlfriend, Jessi, Crockett, and Bowie Ward; and one daughter, Cheyenne Ward; two children shared with him during the last years of his life, Moriah and Madison Eisenberg; a nephew he would have gladly called his own, Martin Wauford; one granddaughter, Jami Ward; nephews Corey and Aaron Holt and Sawyer Lane; and niece Kristen Holt and her children, Christopher and Jordan. He leaves his girlfriend, Gayle Eisenberg; three sisters, Linda Massey and husband Tom of Omega Bay, and Rima Lane and her husband Walter of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Beth Ward of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his cousin and friend, Pat Maxwell; and his grandmother, Maureen Duncan of Texas City.

Jim was a resident of Texas City for most of his life. A painter by trade, he was a perfectionist with the brush. He enjoyed hunting and the Tennessee countryside of his sister’s home.
