Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. She died Thursday, November 1, 2001 at University Medical Center. She was born November 22, 1915 in Grand Saline, Texas. She married Richard Butler on June 29, 1935 in Emery, Texas. She was a member of the Pentacostal Church and a homemaker. She moved to Lorenzo in 1963 from Lubbock. Survivors include: her husband Richard Butler of Lorenzo, 3 Sons, Elzia Butler of Gunbarrel, Texas, Richard Butler of Amarillo, Texas Ronnie Butler of Kaufman, Texas. 3 Daughters: Wynonia Westbrook of Idalou, Texas, Sue Williams of Lubbock and Jo Ann Daniels of New Deal, 22 grandchildren, 33 Great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Pallbearers: Jeff Butler, Kelly Butler, Royce Butler, Michael Daniel, Joseph Butler, Matthew Williams, Scotty Butler and Ricky Butler.

Lillie Mae Garden

Services for Lillie Mae Garden, 77, of Ralls will be Thursday, November 8, 2001 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Ralls with the Rev. Raymond Roberts officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday, November 9, 2001 at Laurel Land cemetery in Dallas. She married Ellion Garden in 1944 in Dallas. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Ralls. She was a homemaker and moved to Ralls from Dallas in 1997. She was preceded in death by 1 Brother Elmo Darden and 2 sisters; Clara Mae Johnson and Lee Etta Smith. Survivors include; one sister Marlene Lauterdale of Ralls and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Bruce Austin, Sr., Bruce Austin, Jr., Jessie Johnson and Marvin Jones.

Floyd Dunn

Services for Floyd Dunn, 90, of Ralls will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 at Ralls First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Hubbard and Rev. Larry Reed-Farris officiating. Burial will be in the Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home - Ralls. He died Thursday, November 8, 2001 at Ralls Nursing Home. He was born December 28, 1910 in Gorman, Texas. He married Oleta Moses on February 10, 1934 in Henderson, Texas. He was a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church. He moved to Crosby County in 1918 from Eastland County. He farmed in the Cone area and was a mechanic at Dunn's Repair Shop. Survivors include: His wife Oleta Dunn of Ralls; 3 sons; Lyndon Dunn of Bowie, Dr. B. Gene Dunn of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Darrell Dunn of Lorenzo; 11 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren. Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.

Madeline Fewell

Services for Ida Madeline Fewell, 90 of Crosbyton and formerly Glen Rose will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 12, 2001 at Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Kelley, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. She died Monday, October 8, 2001 at the Trinity Care Center in Bridgeport. She was born September 19, 1911 in Scurry County, Texas. She married Arlie Dean Fewell on December 17, 1930 in Clovis, New Mexico. He died on April 6, 1987. She was an active member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church where she was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women and was also a member of the Crosbyton Order of the Eastern Star. She had worked as the Crosby County Librarian for many years. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Gwen Reed and her husband Buster of Bowie, Ophelia McNeill and her husband George of Glen Rose, 1 Brother M. A. Adams and his wife Lillian of Lubbock, 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Gary Reed, Glenn Reed, Mark Stewart, Cregg Stewart, Rodney Stewart and Tommy Newton. Honorary pallbearers will be Monty Reed, Joe Newton, Brandon Stewart, Brice Stewart, Michael Reed, Chris Reed and Paul Raby. The family suggests memorials to Crosbyton First United Methodist Church or Crosby County Library. The family will receive friends at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mack Holcombe

Services for Mack Holcombe, 80, of Lorenzo will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2001 at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls with Joseph Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home. He died Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at Lubbock's Covenant Hospital. He was born September 21, 1921 in Alabama. He married Ima Gene Taylor on December 31, 1959 in Lubbock. He was a Baptist. He was the manager of the Lorenzo Textile Mill for several years and worked in the research department at Texas Tech University. He served in the Navy and Air Force during WWII. He was preceded in death by a brother Howard Holcombe. Survivors include: His wife Ima Gene Holcombe of Lorenzo, 1 son Coy Holcombe of Malakoff, 1 Stepson David McDaniel of Lubbock, 2 Stepdaughters Judy Jenkins of Lubbock, Jo Lynn Herrington of Idalou, 1 Brother; Boots Holcombe of Alabama, 3 Sisters; Margaret Limbo of Alabama, Mary Stewart of Alabama and Ruby Copeland of Missouri, 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Burial is under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. She died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001 at her home in Crosbyton. She was born January 26, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ralls. She had worked at Inc Oil convenience store for 9 years and at Allsups for 12 years. She was a lifetime resident of Crosby County.She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Sol Radford and Ray Radford, and 4 Sisters; Margarette Moore, Dorthy Moore Mary Alice Armstrong and Betty Oxner. Survivors include: 1 son: Doug McClure - Lubbock, 2 Daughters: Brenda Davis of Abilne, Rhonda Thornhill of Crosbyton, 3 brothers: Raymond Radford of Orlando, Florida, Enoch Radford of Cordova, Tennessee, Robert Radford of Bartlett, Tennessee, 3 sisters: Naomi Boots"" Hardy of Southhaven.

She died Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at her home in Ralls. She was born March 7, 1935 in Red River, Texas. She married Juan Sanchez on December 6, 1953 in Cameron, Texas. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. She moved to Ralls in 1959 from Cameron. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by a brother Jesus Mendoza. Survivors include her husband Juan Sanchez of Ralls, 4 sons Johnny of Vernon, Domingo of Portland, Oregon, Luis of Ralls and Ricky of Post 7 Daughters Carmen Canales of Plainview, Lucy Castillo of Red Oak, Sylvia Sanchez of Lubbock, Elena Bryand of Crosbyton, Linda Sanchez, Janie Sanchez and Emma Talamantez all of Ralls. Two brothers Edward Mendoza of Ralls and Manuel Mendoza of Lorenzo. One sister Mage Ojeda of Salem, Oregon. 53 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Louella Miller

Services for Louella Miller, 97 of Ralls will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 9, 2001 at Emma Church of Christ in Ralls, with Wilburn Dennis of Littlefield officiating. Burial will be in Lorenzo cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home - Ralls. She died Saturday, October 6, 2001 at Crosbyton Hospital. She was born March 14, 1904 in Alvarado, Texas. She married Leonard Miller on September 4, 1921 in Ralls, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1973. She was a member of the Church of Christ where she taught Bible Class. She moved to Ralls in 1907 and was a homemaker. She also worked at the Ralls Chamber of Commerce and the Ralls Museum. She was preceded in death by 2 Sons, Edward in 1931 and Calvin on June 24, 2001 and by 1 daughter in 1932 4 sisters and 4 brothers. She is survived by 2 Grandchildren Janie Puryear of Lubbock and Patsy Murdock of Gonzales. 4 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, 8 Nieces and 5 Nephews.

John L. "Jack Mallow

Services for John L. "Jack" Mallow, 82, of Lubbock will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2002 at Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Baker officiating. Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 in IHS Hospital in Lubbock. He was born November 27, 1919 in Ralls, Texas. He married Thelma Oleta Hornsby on June 14, 1952 in Ralls, Texas. She died February 10, 2002.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He had worked as a mechanic and a heavy equipment operator in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. He moved to Lubbock in 1996 from Hobbs, New Mexico. He had moved from Ralls in 1959. He was a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Jackie Mullinax of Clovis, New Mexico, Jerri McLain of Lubbock and Jo Baker of Lubbock. 3 Sisters: Louise Horry of Moreno Valley, Calif., Bettye Philpott of Cisco, Texas and Sis Wright of Kermit, Texas 5 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren, 4 Step Great Grandchildren.

Julia Beth Johnston

Services of Julia Beth Johnston, 66 years old as of February 19th, of Crosbyton will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2002 in the Church of Chist in Crosbyton with Terry Ellison and Joe Keyes officiating. Burial to follow in the Crosbyton cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home. She was a loving Christian wife, mother and grandmother. She was the co-owner and operator of Johnston Enterprises. She was a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ. She moved to Crosbyton in 1958 from Lubbock. She was born February 19, 1936 in Lubbock and died at her home March 7, 2002. She married Ramon Johnston on April 18, 1958 in Lubbock. Survivors include; her husband, Ramon Johnston of Crosbyton, 4 children; Ramon Johnston, Jr. of Lubbock, Julie Wilson of Post, Robert Johnston of Lubbock and Judie Johnston of Lubbock, a brother Elmer Reed of Lubbock, 11 grandchildren; Ramon Lee Johnston, Tiffany Johnston, Tyson Johnston, Clifton Johnston, Jameson Crayne, Austin Crayne, Bobby Johnston, Katie Johnston, Ashley Wilson, Timothy Wilson and Amber Wilson. The family suggests memorials to White River Youth Camp, P. O. Box 455 Crosbyton, Texas 79322. Pallbearers: Brooks Ellison, John Dunlap, Ron Graves, Don Parker, Charles Thornton, Larry Yowell, Steve Henn and Gary Cash.

Pamela Suzette Dunn Rowland

Services for Pamela Suzette Dunn Rowland, 42 of Caddo, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 8, 2002 at Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Haddock officiating. Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. She died March 5, 2002 at her home in Caddo, Oklahoma. She was born October 6, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas. She married Brad Rowland on May 25, 1991 in Milburn, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Dugway Community Church in Dugway, Utah. She was a graduate of Ralls High School and attended Texas Tech University for a year and then attended some classes at Oklahoma State University. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband Brad of Dugway, Utah, three sons; Saxon Jumon, Jaydan Bradley and Blake Paddock Rowland all of Dugway, Utah, her parents; Mary McFadden of Caddo, Oklahoma, Darrell and Barbara Dunn of Ralls, Grandparents: U. B. and Thelma Robinson of Caddo, Oklahoma, Oleta Dunn of Ralls, two brothers; Philip Dunn of Andrews, Jeff Dunn of New Boston, Michigan, one sister Jayna Perryman of Afton, Texas. Pallbearers: Scott Perryman, Justin Strickland, David Dunn, Joe Dunn, Donny Dunn, Kevin Chron, Curtis Chron, Dee Moses.

James O'Rear

Memorial services for James O'Rear, 82, of Lorenzo will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 4, 2002 at Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Williams and Rev. Jerry Golden officiating. Burial will be in Lorenzo cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. He died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Autumn House in Idalou. He was born October 4, 1919 in Lorenzo, Texas. He married Nell Midkiff on November 5, 1939 in Abernathy, Texas. He was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church and taught the Maverick Sunday School Class. He was a diretor of Wayland Baptist University and served on the Board of Lorenzo State Bank at Lorenzo for 31 years. He also served on the Board of Lorenzo Textile Mills and the Lorenzo School Board. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Blue Lodge #1144 in Lorenzo. He served as Mayor of Lorenzo from 1952 to 1956 and served 10 years on the Lorenzo City Council. He and his family operated O'Rear Grocery Store in Lorenzo for 63 years. He served in the Army during WWII. He had lived in Lorenzo all his life. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jack O'Rear and Dr. J. M. O'Rear. Ssurvivors include: his wife; Nell O'Rear of Lorenzo, a daughter; Patti Work of Idalou, 2 granddaughters; Wendi Work Pene of Shallowater and Lesli Work Davis of Lubbock, 7 great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Walt Pene, David Davis, Tommy Fondren, Dee Reynolds, Bud Peterson and John D. Sales. The family suggests memorials to Lorenzo First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the funeral service in the Fellowship Hall of Lorenzo First Baptist Church.

June Wilson Graham

Services for June Wilson Graham, 76, of Ralls will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2002 at Ralls First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Hubbard officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2002 in Elm Grove cemetery in Alpine, Texas under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. He died Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at his home in Ralls. He was born December 28, 1925 in Tye, Texas. He married Frances Rhodes on August 13, 1949 in Stanton, Texas. She died on October 4, 1990. He then married Doris Norris on July 8, 1991 in Alpine. He attended school at Loraine and Merkel and graduated from Sul Ross State University with a BBA and MA degree. He worked for T & P railroad as a agent from 1942 to 1959. He had also been an accontant for a variety store chain for 20 years and was part owner of the True Value Hardware store in Alpine. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Alpine and the Alpine Lions Club. He had also served on the city council at Stanton. He was a US Marine Corp. Veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. Survivors include His wife: Doris Graham of Ralls, 3 sons: Clay Graham of Lubbock, Keith Graham of Alpine, Texas, Kelly Graham of Santa Fe N. M., 4 stepsons: Danny Norris of Lubbock, Norman, Scott and Walt Norris all of Ralls, A niece raised as a daughter Pat Gilliar of New York City, NY, a sister Louise Stallings of Stanton, 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. She died Sunday, February 10, 2002 at Lubbock's University Medical Center. She was born November 14, 1924 in Ralls Texas. She married John L. Jack"" Mallow on June 14

J. J. Griffin

Services for J. J. Griffin, 80, of McAdoo will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at McAdoo First United Methodist Church with the Reverends Gary Boles and David Grifin officiating. Burial will be in McAdoo cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. He died Sunday, January 27, 2002 at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. He was born April 16, 1921 in The Wake Community. He married Wilma Ruth Ward on June 1, 1940 in McAdoo, Texas. He was a member of the McAdoo First United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher for the men's class, Sunday School superiintendant and chairman of the official board. He was also a member of the Antique Automobile Club and President of West Texas Pioneer Old Settlers. He served one and one half years overseas in England during WWII and at Kelley Field as an airplane mechanic. He was a life long farmer near the Wake Commuity. The Rio Blanco Soil and Water Conservation District awarded him an outstanding farmer award for farming practices. He was preceded in death by a daughter Rozanna Kinlen and her husband Jim in November 1997 and a brother Rev. J. Waid Griffin. Survivors include his wife; Ruth of Crosbyton, 2 Sons: Howard Griffin and his wife Madeline of Lamesa, Jack Griffin and his wife Annie of Albuquerque, N. M. 1 Daughter; Sue Griffin of Lorenzo, 1 brother Rev. Lee Griffin and his wife Sylvia of Canyon Lake, Texas 2 sisters; Wilma Bradshaw and her husband Brad of Springtown, Texas and Jo Hillman and her husband Darrell of Weatherford 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The family suggests memorials to McAdoo cemetery Association or McAdoo First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at 6:00 PM, to 7:00 PM Tuesday, at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton. Pallbearers Howard Marshall Griffin, Adam Griffin, Craig Griffin, Chris Kinlen, Mike Mitchell, Lee St. John and Carroll Thompson. L. C. Roye, Sr.

Services for L. C. Roye, Sr, 85, of Las Cruces, N. M. will be at 10:00 AM Monday, January 21, 2002 at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls with Rev. Randy Bartley officiating. Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. He died January 17, 2002 at Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was born December 15, 1916 in Lampasas. He married Ruby Collins on May 4, 1940 in Ralls. L. C. was first a farmer with his father in Texas. Later he worked as a mechanic for autos and tractors. He then became involved with electrical construction in Texas and New Mexico. Much of the work was high powered for industry and irrigation. He had been a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, a volunteer fireman, and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was also an avid fan of baseball. He was retired and had been living in Las Cruces for the last 15 years. Survivors include his wife Ruby Roye of Las Cruces, 2 sons and their wives: Louis Roye, Jr. and Wife Camille of Hatch, N. M., and Ronald D. Roye and his wife Wava of Lewisville, Texas, 1 daughter Lynda Loftin of Princeton, Indiana, 1 brother Vernon Roye of Ralls 6 grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church 106 Miranda Las Cruces, N. M. 88005.
