Dennis Ray Kellar
Funeral services for Dennis Ray Kellar, 63, of Olney were held Saturday, July 22, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with the Reverend Steven Baker, pastor of New Hope Church of God, and the Reverend Lyndel Garrett of Eastland officiating.
Interment followed at Megargel Cemetery with arrangements under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Kellar was born Oct. 5, 1942, in Hollis, Okla., to the late J.D. and Della Faye (Barker) Kellar. He died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, in Olney.
He and Joyce Posey were married March 19, 1961, in Dallas.
Mr. Kellar was a truck driver. He had worked in the oilfield for Don Buckalew, Troy Rogers Drilling, Stanley Ondricek and Bobby Brock. He moved to Olney in 1996 from Megargel. He was a member of Olney Recreation Association. He was a member of New Hope Church of God.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Kellar of Olney; a son Christopher Wells of Archer City; four daughters Tammy Messimer and husband Bruce of Megargel, Kimberly York and husband Sandy of Olney, Denise Owen and husband Kenny of Archer City, and Heidi Wade of Tacoma, Wash.; four brothers Gene Kellar of Megargel, Jimmy Kellar of Terrell, Charles Kellar and Stevie Kellar, both of Megargel; two sisters Myrna Whitmire and Retha Stewart, both of Megargel; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Tanja Messimer on May 2, 1982, and a sister Marquetta Echols on June 12, 2006.

Carlton "Corky" Clifton
Funeral services for Carlton “Corky” Clifton, 71, of Olney were held at 4 p.m.Wednesday, July 26, at First Baptist Church with Carter Pirtle and the Reverend Andy Graham officiating.
Interment followed at Restland Cemetery with arrangements under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Clifton was born July 29, 1934, in Young County to the late Gaylon Warren and Nettie Ellen (Drennan) Clifton. He died Monday, July 24, 2006, in Dallas.
He and Wanda Jean Mills were married March 10, 1955, in Olney.
Mr. Clifton served in the U.S. Army from January 1957 until December 1958. He was employed by Fort Belknap Electric as a lineman for 17 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a farmer and rancher and had lived in and around Olney his entire lifetime. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Jean Clifton of Olney; three sons Cullen Clifton and wife Theresa of Graham, Kevin Clifton of Ithaca, N.Y., and Cody Clifton and wife Jennifer of Keller; a sister Colleen Mills of Megargel; and five grandchildren Marley, Noah, Claire, Carleigh and Cassie.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Wendell Clifton and Billy Clifton and a sister Geneva Carr.

Rev. Delmer Wayne Brack
Funeral services for the Reverend Delmer Wayne Brack, 79, former Olney resident, were held Tuesday, July 18, at Peace Lutheran Church in Andover, Kan. Arrangements were under direction of Hillside Funeral Home- East in Wichita, Kan.
Reverend Brack was born Dec. 25, 1926, in Shaffer, Kan., to the late Adolph (Bill) and Esther (Scheuerman) Brack. He died Thursday, July 13, 2006.
He graduated from St. John’s College in Winfield, Kan., in 1947, Concordia Theological Seminary in 1952, and completed his master’s degree at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan., in 1954.
Reverend Brack was ordained at Emmans Lutheran in Hoisington, Kan., in 1952. He was active in the ministry for over 50 years. He served as pastor of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney from 1986 to 1994. He was also a member of the Olney Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife Betty Jo (Mueller) Brack; three sons Jonathan Brack and wife Susan of Newton, Kan., David Brack and wife Rhonda of Mulvane, Kan., and James Brack and wife Suzie of Augusta, Kan.; a daughter Naomi Adams and husband David of Galesburg, Ill; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother Delano (John) Brack and wife Sue of Bella Vista, Ark.
He was preceded in death by a brother Derryl Brack.
Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church in Andover, Kan., Trinity Hospice, or a charity of one’s choice.

Bill Welch
Funeral services for Bill Welch, 73, of Lake Graham, were held Monday, Oct. 15, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ, and John Gambino of Monahans officiating. Interment followed in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Welch was born March 8, 1934, in Lindrith, N.M., to the late Herman Alexander and Willie Laura (Meaders) Welch. He died Friday, Oct. 12, in Graham.
He was a graduate of Olney High School. He and Shirley Ann Partain were married on Aug. 20, 1954, in Olney. He served in the Army from 1956-1958, and was a foreman on the Dyer Ranch in Monahans for 13 years. He was a quarter horse breeder and member of the National Quarter Horse Association and Monahans Riding and Roping Club.
He was County Commissioner of Ward County Precinct 2 and was a member of the 3rd and Dwight Street Church of Christ, where he was an elder. He moved to Lake Graham from Monahans in 1999.
He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Welch, on Dec. 7, 1985; and a brother, J.D. Welch, on Dec. 31, 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Welch of Lake Graham; two daughters, Laura Farr and husband Jon of Topeka, Kan., and Leigh Evans and husband Gary of Van Alstyne; one brother, Herman Welch and wife Carolyn of Grove, Okla.; one sister, Sharon Suko and husband Dennis of Tempe, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Allison Farr, Justin Farr, Carson Farr, Ashton Evans and Greyson Evans.
Memorials may be made to the Children’s Home of Lubbock, P.O. Box 2824, Lubbock, Texas 79408; or to the American Cancer Society, 900 W. Edwards, Olney, Texas 76374.

Annie Bowen
Funeral services for Annie Bowen, 84, of Wellington, were held Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the First United Methodist Church of Wellington with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen, pastor, officiating. Interment followed in North Fairview Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
Mrs. Bowen was born April 9, 1923, in Vinson, Okla., to George Dewey Ellis and Emma Manney Ellis. She died Saturday, Oct. 6, in Wichita Falls.
She married James R. Bowen on July 12, 1947, in Wellington. He preceded her in death in 2006. Mrs. Bowen served in the Marine Corps during World War II, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Chaparral Sams RV Club.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan Tyler and husband Bill of Olney; a son, Reece Bowen and wife Sharon of Childress; a brother, Darrell Ellis of Lubbock; a sister, Noveta Holton of Tyler; four grandchildren, Brandon and Josh Tyler and John and Steve Bowen; and three great-grandchildren, Ainsley Tyler, Cheyenne Bowen and Haleigh VanAusdale.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Wellington, 910 Bowie St., Wellington, Texas 79095.

Celia Frances Clayton
Graveside services for Celia Frances Clayton, 97, were held Friday, Oct. 5, at Loving Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clayton was born April 12, 1910, in Archer County to James Willis and Vola Omega Brumley. She died Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Jean. She was a member of the Jean Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert G. Clayton; a daughter, Wanda Lavada Harlan; three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Clayton and wife Jane of Farmington, N.M.; a sister, Adell Bourland of Jean; two grandchildren, Kathryn Parker and Nicol Moss; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Okla., 73123-1718.

Nell Doan Rasco
Funeral services for Nell Doan Rasco, 90, of Wichita Falls, were held Saturday, Oct. 13, in the Bethel Temple Christian Center in Abilene with the Rev. Frank Estes, pastor, officiating. Interment followed in Restland Cemetery in Olney under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rasco was born Jan. 16, 1917, in Neighborton, La., to the late Clib and Nida Bernice (Willingham) Doan. She died Thursday, Oct. 11, in Wichita Falls.
She was an LVN for many years in the Abilene area, and was a charter member of the Bethel Temple Christian Center. She moved to Wichita Falls from Abilene in February 2007.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and James Doan; and three sisters, Bessie Sartin, Dorothy Darr and Mary Lester.
Survivors include one brother, Curtis Doan and wife Lucille of Waco; one sister, Billie Gatlin and husband Curley of Frisco; and nieces and nephews.

Floyd Gene Heard
Graveside services for Floyd Gene Heard were held Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Restland Cemetery in Olney with Chaplain John Mark Fowler of American Hospice officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.
Mr. Heard was born on March 31, 1927, in Young County. He died Sunday, Oct. 14, in Wichita Falls.
He was a longtime resident of Iowa Park, and was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Jewell Heard; and one brother, Gerald Heard.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Ann Reames of Houston, Patricia Jean Grant and husband Ronald of Arlington and Connie Kay Ginnings and husband Steve of Wichita Falls; one sister, Alwana Womble and husband Bill of Seymour; two brothers, Clifford Dale Heard and wife Nancy of Olney and Lloyd Heard and wife Wanda Jo of Munday; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Friendly Door Senior Citizens Center, 810 N. Third, Iowa Park, Texas 76367; or American Hospice, 4210 Kell Blvd., Ste. 211, Wichita Falls, Texas 76309.
