Noel Bradford Proctor

Noel Bradford Proctor was born November 13, 1928 in Medford, Oregon to Allen E. and Lou Bradford Proctor. He passed into Glory with the Living LORD God on Saturday, October 15, 2011. Mr. Proctor is survived by his faithful wife of 64 years, Frances Ives Proctor, one daughter F. Ellen Johnson and her husband Roger Johnson of Greenbelt, Maryland, as well as three sons, Noel W. Proctor of White Salmon, Washington, Mark R. Proctor and his loving wife Nancy of Sugarland, Texas, and Allen H. Proctor and his loving wife Cheryl of Corrigan, Texas. Five grandchildren survive Mr. Proctor: Stephanie M. Proctor, Amanda M. Proctor, Noel Bryant Proctor, Stephen M. Proctor, and John M. Proctor. Mr. Proctor is survived by his in-laws Mrs. Carol Proctor of Newton, Iowa, Marvin and Lorna Ives of Wichita, Kansas and an aunt and uncle Beulah and Jett Bohannon and numerous nephews and nieces.

Noel was an avid Bible Scholar doing in depth studies and wrote many prayers on various subjects, verses, and books. He loved his church and family and in spite of how he felt, he never wanted Frances to stay home with him. He thought it was important for her to fulfill her responsibilities.

Mr. Proctor is survived by his many friends from the community and from his working years. Mr. Proctor served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and worked for seven decades in the field of Applied Physics. The Oil Patch was his primary interest and he held numerous patents in the areas of oil field pipe inspection systems, oil field instrumentation and polymer coatings. He was a well known industry expert in the use of magnetic inspection for tubular products and the design of analog-digital hybrid electronic systems. He retired from Proctor Inspection Technology, Inc. in early 1991 moving to the rural Pine Grove community he loved near Barnum, Texas. He was a member of the Barnum First Baptist Church and enjoyed Bible study, discussing his faith and living the Christian life.

Noel went to sleep in Texas and woke up in Heaven. He probably thought he was still in the same place. At the family's request, memorial gifts may be given to the Barnum Baptist Church of Barnum, P.O. Box 93 Chester, Texas 75936

Funeral Services for Debra Jean Gaither, age 55, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the Wildwood Church in Onalaska with Dennis Hodge and Doyle Hodge officiating. Interment following in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas.

She was born November 7, 1955 in Graham, Texas to D. C. Rowell and Wilma Jean Perdue Rowell and passed away on October 14, 2011 in Lufkin. She was a graduate of Odessa High School and moved to Livingston in years later. Debra loved her family and spending as much time as she could with them and her friends too. She enjoyed fishing, swimming and watching old movies in her spare time. Debra enjoyed listening to music and had many favorite songs. She loved the color green and she really loved pink roses.

Debra is survived by Steve Mattingly, special friend, Randal Rowe, brother, Edward J. Certain and Gregg and Dana Taylor, son and daughter-in-law, Kirk D. Michael Taylor, son, Marsha and Matt Welker, daughter and son-in-law, Pennie and Doyle Hodge, daughter and son-in-law, Joseph Taylor, grandson, Destinee Taylor, granddaughter, Payton Taylor, granddaughter, Preslie Taylor, granddaughter, James Taylor, grandson, Christopher Taylor, grandson, Brooke Welker, granddaughter, Brittany Welker, granddaughter, Hannah Hodge, granddaughter, Khloe Hodge, granddaughter. Bradly Scott Currie

Funeral Services for Bradly Scott Currie, 19, of Corrigan, Texas will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 in the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Phil Corbett officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.

Bradly was born October 2, 1992 in Livingston, Texas and passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011, in Webb County, Texas. He was employed as a roughneck for Orion Drilling Company and was an Assembly of God by faith. He joined the Corrigan Volunteer Fire Department as soon as he was old enough and was an amazing asset to their crew of firefighters. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and he knew how to live life to its fullest. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth Thomas and David Currie.

He is survived by his parents: Gary Lynn and Gina Kae (Morrow) Currie of Corrigan, Texas; sister and brother-in-law: Jessica Leigh and Johnny Lee Mercer of Corrigan, Texas; nephew: Johnny Lee Mercer Jr. of Corrigan, Texas; grandmother: Shirley Thomas of Corrigan, Texas; grandparents: Wilbur and Phyllis Morrow of Corrigan, Texas; grandmother: Louise Currie of Corrigan, Texas; great grandmother: Seredah Morrow of McMinnville, Oregon; aunt and uncle: Sissy and Harold Hasty of Corrigan, Texas; Ann and Arnold Montes of Lufkin, Texas; uncle and aunt: Kenneth and Shelby Thomas of Houston, Texas, and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was born March 4, 1927 in Binger, Oklahoma to Houston McKinley and Dolly Grace Winn McKinley and passed away on October 10, 2011 in Conroe, Texas. She is preceded in death by parents, Houston McKinley and Dolly Grace Winn McKinley, brother, Walter White, sister, Polly Wyatt.

Funeral Services for Roosevelt Hulett 74, of Corrigan, Texas will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mayo Chapel Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas with Reverend Leslie Hurd officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas.

Mr. Hulett was born January 7, 1937 in Corrigan, Texas to Mr. Lee and Maggie (Johnson) Hulett. He was employed as Forklift driver for many years. He was a member of the Mayo Chapel Baptist church in Corrigan. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lee and Maggie Johnson; first wife: Curtis (Peterson) Hulett and the mother of his children: Maurice (Starr) Hulett; daughter: Charlotte Kelly; granddaughter: Yvette Kelly; sister: Nellie Hulett; brothers: Travis Hulett Sr., James Hulett, Wallace Hulett, Jasper Hulett.

On Saturday, October 8, 2011, Roosevelt Hulett heard the Lord call his name and he went home to rest from his labor peacefully.

Mr. Hulett leaves to cherish his sweet memories his son: Ernest (Georgia) Hulett of Fayetteville, North Carolina; daughters: Lakendra (James) Lindsey of Beaumont, Texas, Vivian Lewis of Houston, Texas, DeVora Gipson of Houston, Texas, Patricia Heard of Houston, Texas, and other relatives and friends who loved him.

He was born September 19, 1938 in Oconee County, South Carolina to Relius L. Certain, Sr. and Nadine Glass Certain and passed away on October 10, 2011 in Livingston. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Higginbotham was born November 25, 1916 in Corrigan, Texas and passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 in the St. Joseph Regional Health Center Bryan, Texas. She was employed as a medical records clerk for Memorial Hospital in Houston for many years and, later, was employed at the Senior Citizens Center in Corrigan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corrigan. She was very passionate about her role in life as a mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Zack Higginbotham; parents, James Lawrence and Willie Mae (Hamilton) Shepherd; and her brother, Estell Shepherd.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Robert Higginbotham of Houston, Texas, Stan and Sherry Higginbotham of Caldwell, Texas, Dale Higginbotham of Houston, Texas; sisters-in-law: Doris Shepherd of Corrigan, Texas, and Frances Higginbotham of Houston; grandchildren: Terri Kahlden and husband, David, Toni Swann, Michael Justice and wife, Melanie, Zack Higginbotham and wife, Crystal, and Tracy Justice; nine great grandchildren; and many many relatives and friends.

Memorial Services for Paul David Hedley age 72 of Livingston will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Livingston with Rev. James Frazier and Rev. Don Willis officiating. He was born April 7, 1939 in Lockport, New York to Paul Hedley and Hilda Maynard and passed away October 6, 2011 in Livingston, Texas.

Paul loved to sing and he sang with his church family choir. He also went and sang for the residents at the local nursing homes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Hedley and Hilda Maynard. She was a faithful choir member, Sunday school teacher, and Jr. Choir matron. She was a member of the women mission.

Mrs. Jefferson was born December 10, 1936 in New Willard, Texas and past away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Livingston Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by parents Joe Ellis & Mary Wyatt, her husband Charles Jefferson, and son Edward Jefferson.
