A memorial service for Nancy Schneider, 62, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Preacher (John Brown) officiating.

Nancy was born on December 10, 1951 in Stuttgart, Germany, to parents, Noel Avery, Sr. and Ilse Annamaria (Statter) Avery, and passed away on May 24, 2014 in Livingston, Texas.

She is survived by her children, James Schneider and Lisa of Onalaska, Texas, Tammy Stevens of Michigan, and Pete Schneider of Michigan; grandchildren, Jesse McCollum, Andrew Myslewick, Tasha Myslewick, and Rachal Walsh; numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Wolfgang Avery and Debbie of Boerne, Texas, Noel W. Avery, Jr. and Debby of Florida, Julie Antley and James of Onalaska, Texas; special friend, Robert Mosely of Onalaska, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lonnie Dale Capps

Funeral Services for Lonnie Dale Capps, 75, of Corrigan, Texas will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Robert Jones officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Union Springs cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Lonnnie Capps passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 in the Corrigan LTC Partners Nursing Home in Corrigan, Texas. Lonnie was born in Hardin County, Texas on December 20, 1938 to Lonnie Garlon & Ola Mae Hodge Capps. Mr. Capps started off pulling logs in a flume for Champion Paper and by the end of his career he was working in the Power House as an Operator at Bowater Papermill In Grenada, Mississippi.

Mr. Capps is survived by his sons, Daniel Capps, Sr. & daughter in law, Lisa of Houston, Texas, Kevin Capps & wife Maricel of Plano, Texas; daughter, Kina Kitchen of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Dustin Havard, Allen Maze, Kevin McGaughey, Daniel Capps, Jr, Austin Capps, Christopher Capps, Brittany Graham, Elizabeth White & husband Jonathan of West Memphis, Arkansas; great great-granddaughters, Josie Havard, Tori Havard, Abigail Graham, Madison White; sisters, Susan Zsigmond, Dorrie Davis; brother in law Robert Davis and many cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends who will miss him greatly.

He is preceded in death by parents; sisters, Mary Laverne Capps Sisney, Bertie Mae Capps Lewis; brother, Lubin Wesley Capps and great-granddaughter, Marley Havard.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dustin Havard, Allen Maze, Kevin McGaughey, Daniel Capps, Jr, Austin Capps, Christopher Capps, Randy Frankens, Michael Capps and Larry Bean III.

Michael Eugene Scott
March 24, 1943 – May 23, 2014

Funeral services for Michael Eugene Scott, 71 of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Pat Hitt officiating and R.J. Wesley reading the eulogy. Interment icon will follow at Holhausen-Darby cemetery in Moscow, Texas. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM, May 30, 2014, also at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Scott was born on March 24, 1943 in Corpus Christi, Texas and passed away on May 23, 2014 in the VA Hospital in Houston, Texas. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict and two tours of duty in Vietnam. His last duty station was VRF-31 in Norfolk, Virginia. After retiring from the navy, he became a Master Partsman and worked at Smickless Chevrolet in Oklahoma City, Gandra Buick in Oklahoma City, Landmark Chevrolet in Houston, and Bounds Chevrolet in Livingston. He loved to rebuild motors on friend’s cars, loved fishing, and telling stories. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Ollene (McCrany) Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Jessa (Gebhart) Scott of Livingston, Texas; children, Vivian Carpenter of Tomball, Texas, Tammy Ciolfi of Virginia, Robert Loper of North Carolina, Vanessa Craigue of Beaumont, Texas, and Clifford Glenn Scott of Livingston, Texas; sister, Jeanette Park of Seymore, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

The U.S. Navy will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers: Mike Willett, R.J. Wesley, Keith Gorenflo, Clifford Glenn Scott, M.C. Cortinas, John Bratton, James Bratton, and Bobby Craigue.

Enneth Murphy
September 26, 1930 – May 24, 2014

Funeral services for Enneth Murphy, 83 of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Camp Ruby Community Church in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Robert Smith officiating. Interment icon will follow at Camp Ruby cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568.

Enneth Murphy was born in 1930, at Village Mills to Lillie Mae and Eual Murphy on September 26. Enneth was raised in Polk County all of his life. He went to Big Sandy School and played all kinds of sports while in school. After graduation, he joined the Marines, where he served proudly and was honorably discharged after his tour of duty was over. He went to Houston in 1953, working at Hughes Ford Company, there he met his future wife, Bobbylene; they become engaged and married in October of 1954. To this union, two children were born, a daughter, Cindy and a son, Darrell. After being laid off, Enneth moved his young family to Polk County and Camp Ruby became home again. Then he went to work at several jobs and the Highway Department was hiring, he got a job, and there he stayed for 26 years, until his retirement in 1992. He loved hunting, fishing, and his family. In 1988, he surrendered his life to Christ and loved working for the Lord’s service. His life took a new and wonderful turn.

Enneth is survived by his daughter, Cindy and husband, Mike Nichols of Tomball, Texas; son, Darrell and wife, Sharon Murphy of Camp Ruby, Texas; two grandchildren, Autumn and husband, John Cox of Camp Ruby; one grandson, Kabe and wife Chelsea Murphy of Camp Ruby; six great-grandchildren, Chloe, Paige, Lev and Hayes Cox of Camp Ruby, Eli and Dax Murphy of Camp Ruby; sister, Murel Welch of the Bradford in Livingston; sister-in-law, Audra Murphy of Livingston; a host of wonderful friends, nieces, nephews, and his Midway Church Family.

Pallbearers: O.L. Collins, Randy VanWagner, Tommy Slack, Ronald Cox, John Cox, and Cabe Murphy.

Katie Julian Reegs
March 30, 1933 – May 20, 2014

A memorial service for Katie Julian Reegs, 81, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas with Chaplain Jason Sandefer officiating.

Mrs. Reegs was born on March 30, 1933 in Lubbock, Texas and passed away on May 20, 2014 in Onalaska, Texas. She worked as a legal secretary for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert L. and Maude Eliza (Randolph) Julian; husband, Willie A. Reegs; siblings, John Julian, James Howard Julian, Maurice Albert Julian, Ernest W. “Tooter” Julian, Bobbie Ruth Julian Partin, and Betty Jean Julian Gilson.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Reegs and wife, Kathy of Onalaska, Texas; grandchildren, Henry W. Musterman, Phillip W. Musterman, Cherie L. Reegs, and Cassie E. Reegs, all of Conroe, Texas; great-grandsons, Alan Musterman and Aric Musterman; sister, Faye Pierce of Roundrock, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Helen Joyce Riddle
December 17, 1929 – May 23, 2014

Helen Joyce Riddle, 84 years old, restfully passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 under the care of Hospice at Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care in Houston, Tx. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Leah Gibson, husband Alvis (Buddy) Riddle, son Bill Riddle, grandson, Ryan Riddle, and son-in-law, Bill McDougal.

Helen is survived by her sister Dorothy Holmes, brother Virgil Gibson. Sons and wives: Jimmy and Carolyn Riddle, Robert Riddle, Rocky and Linda Riddle, David and Vicki Riddle, daughter Ann McDougal, and Sharlot McElroy. Grandchildren, Shannon Janek, Jason Riddle, Deni McKay, Amber Riddle, Josh Riddle, Matt Riddle, Alex Riddle, Lauren Riddle, Aly Riddle, Bryan Wilkins, Lyndsey Bratton, Julie Gilaspie, Dana Kurtin, BJ McDougal, Nick Riddle, Chris Riddle, 27 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Helen was a loving wife, mom, and treasured friend. She has a wonderful sense of humor and will be forever missed.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11 am, at Second Baptist Church, 19449 Katy Fwy Houston, Tx (713) 365-3401, under the guidance of Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, Tx.

Graveside services for Michelle Sandra Redding, 54, of Houston, Texas, will be held at 12:45 PM, Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Houston National cemetery in Houston, Texas with Rev. Chris Borden officiating.

Mrs. Redding was born on March 2, 1960 in Encino, California and passed away on May 24, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She worked as a hotel auditor for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Redding of Houston, Texas; cousin, Robert Hoffman of California; daughter, Corinne Redding of Naperville, Illinois; son, Kevin Redding of Wilmington, Delaware; son, Cameron Redding of Naperville, Illinois; daughter, Kayla Redding of Fort Worth, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Joe Lerma
February 8, 1915 – May 23, 2014

Services for Joe Lerma, 99, of Houston, Texas, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Father Clifton Labbe, S.V.D. officiating. Interment icon will follow at Stryker cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM, with the rosary at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014, also at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Lerma was born on February 8, 1915 in Driskell, Texas and passed away on May 23, 2014 in Baytown, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Escolastica (Torrez) Lerma; wife, Margaret Lerma; and daughter, Linda Jo.

He is survived by his niece and husband, Evelyn and David Diaz of Houston, Texas; niece and husband, Sulema and Paul Reyes of Baytown, Texas; niece, Janie Polo of Houston, Texas; nephew, Bobby Turnipseed and his wife of Baytown, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Lon L. Helton

Funeral Services for Lon L. Helton, 85, of Corrigan, Texas will be held Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Charlie Hodge officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Carmona cemetery in Carmona, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel. Corrigan Masonic Lodge #1103 will conduct service follow the chapel service.

Mr. Lon Helton passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at a Hospice In The Pines of Lufkin, Texas. Lon L. was born in Nogalus Prairie, Texas on May 22, 1929 to Lonnie Olin & Jonah Ainsworth Helton. He enjoyed raising gardens, cattle, loved old tractors, sitting in the garage and waving at the motorists as they passed by and some would stop and visit with him. Lon L. loved good deer and coon hounds. He loved visiting with his friends from The Diamond H Ranch in Woodlake, Texas and his Masonic Lodge Brothers from Corrigan Lodge #1103. He was Member of Corrigan Lodge for 64 years, past Worshipful Master, Houston Scottish Rite 32 Degree Mason and Houston Arabia Shriners He cherished his family especially his grandsons.

Mr. Helton is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Neva Stanford Helton; son, Lon L. Helton, Jr, and Lon Jr’s. girlfriend, Davida Elliott; grandson, Kevin Helton & wife Erin; granddaughter in law, Callie Helton; brother, Harell C. Helton and numerous other relatives.

He is preceded in death by parents, Lonnie & Jonah Helton; sister, Nancy Ann Helton and grandson, Kyle Bart Helton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Cockrell, Harrell C. Helton, Bo Fortune, W.J. Bearden and Bo Smith

Audra Arlene Connors, of Point Blank, Texas, was born on December 14th in Joplin, Missouri and passed away on May 19th, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She worked as the Equipment Control Manager for Port of Houston for many years. Audra never met a stranger and was always the life of the party; she lit up every room she walked into. She is dearly loved and will forever be missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nadine (Quackenbush) Caldwell; daughter, Cindy Malone; sister, Virginia Gibson; and brother, Bubba Caldwell.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Blake of Point Blank, Texas; sons, Bruce Smith and David Smith, both of Point Blank, Texas; sister, Wanda Look of Galveston, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Amber and Jerry Lockwood of Dickinson, Texas, David and Crystal Smith of Rockwall, Texas, and Misty Smith of Rainbow City, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Raynee Lockwood, Jordan Lockwood, Brandon Lowery, Catlin Lowery, and Tyler Lowery; niece and husband, Karen and John Regini of Galveston, Texas; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host friends.

Mrs. Cook was born on August 10, 1940 in Sikes, Louisiana and passed away on May 22, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, and devout Christian; she was also member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Onalaska, Texas. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was an avid sports fan, she loved the Houston Rockets. She married her husband, Walter Cook, on December 24, 1957; they have celebrated 56 loving years of marriage together. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Myrtis (Peppers) Taylor; dad, Marshall Woodard; brothers, Travis Taylor and John Taylor; sister, Mary Coates; and niece, Karen Bruce.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Cook of Onalaska, Texas; son, Greg Cook of Onalaska, Texas; grandson, Ryan Cook of Magnolia, Texas; granddaughter, Brittany Cook of Onalaska, Texas; niece and husband, Dena and John Whittington of Onalaska, Texas; nephew and wife, Dewayne and Kim Taylor of Onalaska, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Ruth Taylor of Onalaska, Texas; brother and sister-n-law, Laveral and Nancy Taylor of La Porte, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Elizabeth Taylor of Pasadena, Texas; sister-in-law, Louise Taylor of Deer Park, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Cook will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Dewayne Taylor, Matt Taylor, Andy Taylor, Josh Taylor, Ricky Taylor, Jr., and John Whittington.
