William Mac Rachel, Sr.

William Mac Rachel, Sr., age 60 of DeKalb, Texas died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in a local Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Rachel was born September 18, 1949 in Maud, Texas.

He was a former employee of Red River Army Depot of Texarkana, Texas and Delta Fabrication and Machine, Inc. of Hughes Springs, Texas.

Mr. Rachel was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Rachel and his son, William Mac Rachel, Jr.

Survivors include his daughter, Tesha Rachel of Diana, Texas; one brother, Robert Rachel, Sr. of Maud, Texas; one granddaughter, Keely Rachel of Hot Springs, Arkansas; a number of nephews and cousins and one special friend, Rhonda Warren of Texarkana, Arkansas.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Center Ridge cemetery, Maud, Texas with Dale Stinson officiating under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.

Ludovika "Bobbie" Williams
(August 1, 1925 - August 24, 2011)

Ludovika "Bobbie" Williams, 86, of Arlington, TX, formerly of Texarkana, TX, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at her home. She was born August 1, 1925, in Munich, Germany.

She was a retired bookkeeper, and was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Williams, and a daughter, Christine Annette Parker.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia "Trish" Lynn and Jeffrey Terrell of Arlington, TX; a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Martha Sutor of Germany; sisters, Albertina Pierce of Clear Lake Oaks, CA, and Toni Rohl of Germany; three grandchildren, Kimberly Casburn of Pearland, TX, Jason Terrell of College Station, TX, and Claudia Nagel of Germany; a special nephew, Dr. J. Patrick Williams of Texarkana, TX, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel, Texarkana, Texas, with the Rev. Richard Posey officiating.

Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 P.M. on Friday, August 26, 2011, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texarkana, Texas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Tommie Ashtyn Roden
(May 4, 1995 - August 19, 2011)

Tommie Ashtyn Roden, age 16, of Fouke, Arkansas, died Friday, August 19, 2011 from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Ashtyn was born May 4, 1995 in Huntsville, Texas.

She was a student at Fouke High School, a member of the Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was a Jr. Firefighter with the Fouke Volunteer Fire Department.

Ashtyn loved playing softball and hunting.

She was also very involved in helping with Motorcycle Awareness.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman Johnson, Sandy Harkins and Tommy and Carol Roden, and one uncle, Tommy Roden.

She is survived by her parents, Greg Ward, of DeKalb, Texas and Sandra Ward, of Fouke, Arkansas, her father, Harold Roden, of Hunington, Texas, four brothers, Dustin Bell, of Fouke, Arkansas, Barry Johnson, of Fouke, Arkansas, Colby Roden, of Diboll, Texas, and Chance Roden, of Diboll, Texas, four sisters, Autum Davis, of DeKalb, Texas, Allison Ward, of DeKalb, Texas, Laura Bell, of Fouke, Arkansas, and McKenzie Ward, of DeKalb, Texas, her grandparents, Johnny and Eva Ward, of DeKalb, Texas, Bonnie Yates Johnson, of Angleton, Texas, and Fred and Debbie Harkins, of Etoile, Texas, aunts, uncles and their spouses, Cathie and Jason Landers, Laura and Darrell Morris, Lanie Brennen, Janice and Ricky Taylor, David Ward, Bill and Debbie Tolliver, Lisa Goetzman, and Jason and Kerri Goetzman, Carroll and Marie Roden, Rusty and Cindy Roden, Luther and Barbra Roden, Larry and Stacey Roden, George and Mary Roden, Sharlotte Curry, Callie and Nathan Thompson, Hazel Roden, John and Laura Yates and Andy Yates and his fiancé, Lauren, and numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Revs. Ronnie Pipes and Bubba Hart officiating.

Burial will follow at Hubbard cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00 Pm until 8:00 PM on Monday, August 22, 2011 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Heath Greene Motorcycle Awareness Foundation.

Paula Kay Wilson Walls
(February 10, 1964 - August 24, 2011)

Paula Kay Wilson Walls, age 47 of Wake Village, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in a McAlester Oklahoma hospital.

Mrs. Walls was born February 10, 1964 in Houston, Texas.

She was a member of the Daniels Chapel Methodist Church, a Homemaker and is preceded in death by her father, Red Wilson.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Walls of Wake Village, Texas, two sons and daughters in law, Jeff and Brittani Wilson of Wake Village, Texas, Kasey and Allison Walls of Wake Village, Texas, her mother, Bobbie Wilson of New Boston, Texas, one sister and brother in law, Vicki and Mark Champion of DeKalb, Texas, two nieces, Kinsey Williams of DeKalb, Texas, Chelsea Champion of Magnolia, Arkansas and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 27, 2011 in the Bates-Rolf Chapel, New Boston with Bro. John Barfield officiating.

Interment will be in Woodstock cemetery, New Boston under the direction of Bates-Rolf, New Boston.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Daniels Chapel United Methodist Church, New Boston.

The family will be at the Bobbie Wilson residence.

Sarah Evelyn Poole
(May 3, 1920 - August 20, 2011)

Sarah Evelyn Poole, 91, of Texarkana, TX, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at her home.

She was born May 3, 1920, in New Boston, TX.

She was a retired bookkeeper, a member of the Navy Mother’s Association, and was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Poole; two daughters, Tobie Teague and Joy Green; and a son, Rufus “Duke” Poole.

She is survived by one son, Norman Poole; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacque and Carl Yonkey and Evelyn Conley; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 22, 2011, at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dierksen Hospice, 6500 N. Summerhill Rd., Texarkana, TX 75503.

Robert Joseph Price, Sr.
(March 22, 1968 - August 23, 2011)

U.S. Veteran - Mr. Robert Joseph Price, age 43, of Genoa, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011, in Haworth, Oklahoma from injuries received in an auto accident.

Mr. Price was born March 22, 1968, in Texarkana, Texas.

He was a graduate of Genoa High School and was a Pipefitter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Millard Price, Jr.

Survivors include three daughters, Emily Ann Price of Texarkana, Arkansas, Rebecca Nicole Price of Genoa, Arkansas, and Shelby Price of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, one son, Robert Joseph Price, Jr., of Florida, his mother, Mary Ann Price of Genoa, Arkansas, two brothers, Scott Price of Genoa, Arkansas and Johnny Price of Jessup, Georgia, and one grandson, Gage Vinci of Texarkana, Arkansas, and a special friend, Beverly Bohn.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P. M. Monday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating.

Burial will be at Cedar Grove cemetery.

Bobby Joe Bruce
(May 24, 1942 - August 22, 2011)

Mr. Bobby Joe Bruce, age 69, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Monday, August 22, 2011, at his residence.

Mr. Bruce was born May 24, 1942, in Benton, Arkansas, and had lived in Texarkana for the past twenty-seven years.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Benton, and was a retired Welder.

He was preceded in death by a son, Fred Bruce.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Bruce of Texarkana, Arkansas, one son, Bobby Bruce, Jr. of Texarkana, Arkansas, two daughters, Corinthia Jones of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Amber Bruce of Texarkana, Arkansas, one sister, Lola Eades of Texarkana, Arkansas, two brothers, Jerrel Bruce and Fred Bruce, Jr. of Benton, Arkansas, and eleven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A. M. Thursday at Shiloh cemetery with David Smith officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.

THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AT THE EADES RESIDENCE, 183 MILLER COUNTY ROAD 255, OFF US HWY 82, TEXARKANA, ARKANSAS.
