Marcia Yvonne Martin Schwiening
Marcia Yvonne Martin Schwiening, 74, of Roosevelt, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2007.
Rosary was held on Tuesday, April 17, at Graham Funeral Chapel, and funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 18, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. Burial was at Cedar Hill cemetery in Roosevelt.
Marcia was born on May 10, 1932, to Albert and Mary Martin. After living in West Texas for many years,they returned to the family ranch in Kimble County where she lived until her death.
Marcia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. She lived her life for her five children, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She loved every one of them unconditionally and without judgment.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary Schwiening. She is also survived by her children, Grant Schwiening of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rick and Vickie Schwiening of Eldorado, Greta and Paul Ramsdell of Roosevelt, Bryan and Mary Kay Schwiening of Dripping Springs and Tibba and James Edmondson of Sonora.
Her grandchildren include Codi and Darren Morrison, Hallie and Jess Martin, Reese Schwiening, Darby and Delaney Ramsdell, Adrienne Reinert, Mayci Schwiening, Lindsey Schwiening, Nicholas Reinert, Taya Schwiening, Allyse and Tyler Edmondson. Great-grandchildren include Jack Martin and Ava Schwiening.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Albert Martin, Jr. of Villanova, Pennsylvania.

Julie Neigut Bourne
Julie Neigut Bourne, 48, passed away at her home on March 17, 2007, after a courageous fight with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Michael; her son, Stephen, 16; her daughter, Annie, 14; her parents, Joseph and Bern Neigut; her brothers, Stephen and Joseph Neigut, and one sister, Deborah Neigut. Julie.s father, Dr. Joseph Neigut, began his practice of medicine in Junction. The family moved to San Antonio in 1961. In 1973, Dr. and Mrs. Neigut gave the present Kimble County Library to the people of Kimble County. The Neiguts will be remembered by friends in the Kimble County area.

Porfirio “Pilo” Castillo
Porfirio .Pilo. Castillo, 77, of Portales, New Mexico, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, in Lubbock. He was born February 26, 1930. He married Manuela Rodriguez on November 16, 1949. Services were held on Wednesday and Thursday, April 11 and 12, in St. Teresa.s Catholic Church in Friona, with burial in the Friona cemetery. Survivors include five daughters, one of whom is Anna Gomez and husband, Alvaro, Sr.; two sons; six siblings; one granddaughter, Melissa Ortiz; one grandson, Alvaro Gomez, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Destynea Martinez; and numerous nephews and nieces, one of whom is Irma Castillo Loeffler of Junction.

Lucy Catherine Fisher Lewis
Lucy Catherine Fisher Lewis, 88, of Junction, passed away December 17, 2002, in Hill Country Care Center. Funeral services were Friday, December 20, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Aubrey Fife Funerals. King Burney officiated with burial following in Junction cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Aubrey Fife Funerals.
Lucy was born to William King and Aurora Reese Fisher on April 12, 1914, in Kimble County. she had three sisters, Vera Mae, Lila B. and Audrey. She attended school in Kimble County at Teacup, Ivy and Gentry Creek. She graduated high school from Abilene Christian Academy and received her B.S. degree in education from Abilene Christian College in August 1938, with a minor in english.
Lucy began her teaching career in Coke County. She began teaching in Junction ISD in 1938 with a career total of 37 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her life revolved around her family, children, grandchildren and the many children she taught.
She married Rosco Vernon Lewis on December 23, 1938, and they had four children.
She is survived by three children, Ted Lewis and wife, Emily, of Junction, Don Lewis and wife, Sandra, of Oxford, Georgia, Sue Lewis Gipson and husband, Beck, of Kerrville; two sisters Vera Colvin of Junction and Lita Harris of Dallas. Her surviving grandchildren are Carla Masson-McClurg, King Lewis, Jobe Lewis, Rachelle Detling, Kimberly Shields, Krista Roberts, Bryan Lewis, and Lisa Lewis Sawyer. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Marc Masson, Patrick Masson, Ross Lewis, Madison Lewis, Braden Shields, Reid Shields, Mason Roberts, Fisher Roberts and Lexie Eppling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Vernon Lewis, a sister, Audrey Fisher and a grandson, Ross Lewis.
She was known as L.C. to most that knew her and was referred to as Polly by her grandchildren. She loved the church and for the most part that was her only social life except for work. She loved the country and lived most of her life on the ranch.
Pallbearers were Bert Mahnken, Bruce Mahnken, King Harris, King Lewis, Jobe Lewis and Bryan Lewis.

Bill Gary
Bill Gary, 80, of Goldsboro, passed away Saturday evening in Ballinger.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Gary of Goldsboro; his sons, Bill Gary of Midlothian, Odis Gary and wife, Julie, of Ballinger, and Jason Gary and wife, Beth, of Ft. Worth; two daughters, Jacqueline Gary and Charlie Turner of Noodle and Kaylene and Jim Lavene of Rockwall.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the Atoka cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Family Funeral Home in Ballinger.

Homer Sidney Buller
Homer Sidney Buller, age 84, of Junction, died Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at Kimble Hospital.
Mr. Buller was born December 24, 1917, in Elton, Louisiana. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and then spent his entire civilian life in the oil industry in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 28, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton, Louisiana. Local arrangements are under the direction of Graham Funeral Home.
Survivors include seven children, twenty-three grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Right to Life, Suite 500, 419-7th St., N.W., Washington, DC. 20004

Charles Wesley ‘Charlie’ Gibson
Charles Wesley “Charlie” Gibson, II, 53, passed away Monday, November 11, 2002, at home with his wife, Vickie, by his side.
He was born August 31, 1949, in Glendale, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father, C.W. Gibson Sr., and his mother, Lorene Gibson.
He is survived by his wife of ten years, Vickie, of Houston; three sons, Charles and wife, Theresa, of Arkansas, James and Ginger of Houston, and Chris of Houston; two sisters, Janie Leighman and husband, George, of Bryan and Garvene Adams and husband, David, of Junction and one step-daughter, Jodie Struble-Afred of Houston. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kari. Tanner, Ty, Dylan and Taylar; nieces, Dana and Staci Adams and nephews, Donald and Shawn Leighman and Ed Adams.
Charlie was a veteran and an active member of the Spring Branch American Legion Post # 654.
Memorial services were held Friday, November 15, at the American Legion Post #654 in Houston. Graveside services were held Saturday, November 16, in Junction with Brother Wade Copeland officiating.
Locally arrangements were under the direction of Graham Funeral Home.

Josephine (Jo) Nell Maples
Josephine (Jo) Nell Maples, 66, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2002, at the McKenna Memorial Hospital in New Braunfels.
Ms. Maples is survived by four daughters, Vickie Glasco, Karen Dement and husband, Dan, Nancy Parks and husband, Erwin, and Mona Pizanie and husband, James; three sons, Larry Don Barnes and wife, Betty, Mark Maples and Travis Maples and wife, Rose; four sisters, Lucille Hill, Cecelia Stewart, Jerry Crane and Joyce Joy and one brother, Glen Carson. She also has twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Friday, November 15, at 2 p.m. at the Old Smiley cemetery in Smiley.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the National Association of Domestic Violence.

Farris Aldus Parker
Farris Aldus Parker, 67, of San Angelo died Sunday, November 17, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, at Johnson Street Church of Christ with Dr. Tommy King officiating. Burial followed in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Farris was born on December 4, 1934, in Portales, N.M., to Fabius Aldus and Beatrice Rickman Parker. He was raised the first years of his life in Placid. He attended school at Rochelle, Brady Jr. High and Junction High School. He attended the University of Texas until receiving an appointment to the newly formed Air Force Academy. However, an eye problem caused him to fail the flight physical. Still wanting to make a career in aviation, he corrected the physical problem, and then attended Army OCS, Hawthorne School of Aviation, US Army Flight School, instrument school, helicopter school, aircraft maintenance officers’ school and other Army and Federal Aviation schools. He also took numerous correspondence courses related to the US Army and Federal Aviation Administration.
After a long career as an air traffic controller and area supervisor, he retired in 1999 from the FAA after 31 years of dedicated service, to again go back to school. He attended Southwest Bible Institute for three and a half years and was ordained a minister of the Gospel.
Farris married Bunny on July 24, 1987, at Johnson Street Church of Christ of San Angelo.
Farris was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Travis Leon Parker and one sister, Ruth Ellen Hardin.
He is survived by his wife, Linda “Bunny” Parker of San Angelo; a son, Joe Wilmoth of Dallas; a daughter, Dusti Wilmoth of San Angelo; a sister Kay Bowers of Eagle Pass and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Rodney Dunlap, Miguel Zuniga, Ken Lucas, James Adams, Alvis Fisher, Charlie Chrane, Paul Horne, Portis Ribble, Rolland McLean and Jim Murphy.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful, caring staff of VistaCare Hospice, especially our friend, Dollie Culver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VistaCare Hospice, 940 B. Arroyo, San Angelo, Texas 76903 or to your favorite charity.

Ola Stell
Ola Stell, 76, of Junction, passed away November 18, 2002, in Sid Peterson Hospital in Kerrville. Memorial service will be Saturday, November 23, at 11 a.m. at the cross on Lover’s Leap. Arrangements are under the direction of Aubrey Fife Funerals.
Ola was born April 24, 1926, in Kimble County. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Don Taylor of Junction, Harry Stell and wife, Margarett, of Kerrville and Daryl Stell of Austin; three brothers, Irwin Jones of Abilene, Lee Jones of Lubbock and Glen Jones and wife, Peggy, of Albuquerque, N.M., and by one granddaughter, Jennifer Stell of Kerrville.

Jerry Wayne Wallace
Jerry Wayne Wallace, Sr,, age 58, of Junction, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Wallace was born in Junction on September 6, 1944. He was a truck driver and a loving husband, loving father and a wonderful and loving grandfather.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, November 18, at Graham Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Conner officiating. Burial followed in the Junction cemetery.
Pallbearers were Onnie Bennett, Timothy Geddis, L.V. Carroll, Billy W. Dale, Thomas Wallace and John Carroll.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda Wallace of Junction; three sons, Jerry Wayne Wallace, Jr. and Buster Clark Wallace, both of Junction and Jason Wade Wallace of Mansfield; two brothers, Arthur D. Wallace of Junction and Thomas Orlen Wallace of Broddaus; two sisters, Bertha Nell Treadwell and Karen Gayle Dale, both of Junction; three grandsons; one granddaughter and one grandson on the way.

Helen Wahl Kirkpatrick
Helen Wahl Kirkpatrick of Rankin passed away at home in Rankin on Tuesday, October 15, 2002.
Services were Friday, October 18, at 2 p.m. at the Rankin cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Crane Funeral Home of Crane.
Helen was born February 11, 1929, in Junction, to Edwin and Meta Ransleben Wahl. She married Martin Kirkpatrick July 26, 2947, in Kerrville.
Survivors include her husband, Martin, of Rankin; two daughters, one son and their spouses, Paula and Don Dennis of Rochelle, Sandy and David Armstrong of Big Lake, Danny and Betty Jo of Long Beach, California; two sisters, Lorena Lemon of Long Beach, California and Jeneva Bryant and her husband, Woody, of Fredericksburg; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Viola Schneider and Zella Crabtree.

Mallie Adams Andrews
Mallie Adams Andrews, 98, began her life on June 20, 1904, and passed away November 11, 2002, in Kimble Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, in the chapel of Aubrey Fife Funerals. Burial will follow in Junction cemetery.
With a sense of deep gratitude and respect, her children and grandchildren commended her to God, whom she loved so well.
She will always be remembered as a very loving mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker, worked at the school cafeteria and Joseph’s Department Store, and was a member of the Full Gospel Church.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, James M. Andrews.
She is survived by three daughters, Stella Jackson, Texas Rose (Terry) Nixon and Bonny Nell Bishop and her husband, Felen, and by one son, Albert Andrews and his wife, Leta, all of Junction. She is also survived by a sister, Myrtle Kiser, of Odessa; three brothers, Milton Adams of Junction, Johnny Adams of New Mexico, Willard Adams of Commanche and fifteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

Robert Bynum Britton
Robert Bynum Britton, age 64, of Marble Falls, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2002. He was born in Spur October 18, 1938.
In 1970, Bob received his degree in mathematics with a minor in chemistry from the University of Houston. His love of computers began a career in the petrochemical industry, which spanned 27 years in the U.S. and abroad.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mona Schneider Britton, formerly of Junction; two sons, Christopher Todd Britton of New Prague, Minnesota and Gregory Scott Britton and wife, Suree, of Farmington, Minnesota; one brother, Jim Britton and wife, Jackie, of Dallas and three nieces, Morgan and husband, Mike, Everett of Asia, Erin Britton of Dallas and Jamie Britton of Lubbock.
Mona was born in Junction and attended school there until 1954. She is the daughter of Raymond and Veola Wahl Schneider, and the granddaughter of Edwin and Meta Wahl.
Pallbearers were Ennis Schneider, beloved brother-in-law, of Marble Falls; Robert Key, beloved brother-in-law, of Tucson, Arizona; Mike Scearce and Bill Ealey, both of Marble Falls; Lee Gilby, longtime friend and co-worker, of Burton; Jim Bryant, son of Woody and Jeneva Wahl Bryant, of Marble Falls, and Woody Bryant of Fredericksburg.
Services were held Monday, November 4, at Edgar Funeral Home in Marble Falls. The Reverend L.C. Johnston of Highland Lakes United Methodist Church officiated. A moving tribute was presented by Bob's dear brother, Jim.
Interment followed at Marble Falls City cemetery.
