Rena Bell Jackson Tinney
Rena Bell Jackson Tinney died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at Hill Country Care Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 19, at Graham Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Glenn officiating. Burial was at Junction cemetery.
Mrs. Tinney was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
Rena Bell was born to John Monroe Jackson and Lillie Sonora Stewart on July 9, 1914, in Youngsport. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elbert (Ike) Tinney, a son, Noel Tinney, and a daughter, Peggy Welch.
Survivors include four sons, John and his wife, Judy, and James and his wife, Debbie, of Junction, Glen and his wife, Espy, of Ozona, and Tommy and his wife, Debbie, of Ingram; three daughters, Phyllis and her husband, Pete, of Liverpool, Virginia and husband, Richard, of Christoval, and Rena Bell Tinney Glover Sue of Junction. Two sisters, Lillie Ellis of Harker Hights and Lucille Dennis of Levelland; nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

Myrlin C. Balzen
Myrlin C. Balzen, 85, died in Kerrville, June 10, 2004, after a long illness. He was born May 5, 1919.
Myrlin began his early education at the Sturm Hill School in Quihi, Texas.
He entered the Air Force in October 1939, and he retired in November 1959. He was a flight engineer in the 49th Fighter Group in the South Pacific. He was a gifted mechanic and a person who would attempt any repair project large or small.
Myrlin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Viva Louise Balzen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest W. Balzen, and his mother, Angelina Burger.
Myrlin will be greatly missed by his relatives and friends including Mildred Waring of Junction.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Church of the Latter Day Saints, at the corner of Coronado and Lois Street in Kerrville.

Julie Neigut Bourne
Julie Neigut Bourne, 48, passed away at her home on March 17, 2007, after a courageous fight with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Michael; her son, Stephen, 16; her daughter, Annie, 14; her parents, Joseph and Bern Neigut; her brothers, Stephen and Joseph Neigut, and one sister, Deborah Neigut. Julie.s father, Dr. Joseph Neigut, began his practice of medicine in Junction. The family moved to San Antonio in 1961. In 1973, Dr. and Mrs. Neigut gave the present Kimble County Library to the people of Kimble County. The Neiguts will be remembered by friends in the Kimble County area.

Kolt Russell Keith
Kolt Russell Keith was born on February 17, 1986, in Kerrville. He passed away on June 4, 2004, in Bentonville, Arkansas.
While on this earth for a time, far shorter than his family would have liked, Kolt lived life to its fullest. He truly believed in the motto "Live It Up" and tried hard to convince all those who loved him to do the same.
He began his life in Junction. It was here that he gained an appreciation for the outdoors. Later, he lived and attended school in Groesbeck.
Kolt developed into an athlete and was an avid sports lover. He was a gifted athlete whose time on the field and on the court was too short. He enjoyed all of the activities associated with the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, climb, and camp. To remember Kolt is to remember him being active in the outdoors.
He loved his friends. If Kolt called you his friend, you knew you could count on him for anything. Most of all, Kolt Russell loved his family and his family loved him.
Kolt is survived by his parents, Rusty and Brenda Keith of Bentonville; three brothers, Brandon and Hunter of Bentonville, and Dustin of Cisco; his grandparents, Lloyd and Shirley Keith of Elm Springs, Arkansas, and John and Sherry Bouman of Navarro Mills; and great-grandparents Ennis and Laverne Jetton of Junction. Kolt Russell also left behind aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to list who loved him dearly. He was a truly wonderful person who touched the lives of many different people.
Visitation will be held at Mason Funeral Home from 10-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 10. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Mason with Rev. Bob Cheatheam officiating. Burial will follow in the Cavaness cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Charlie Adams and Jeff Salas of Springdale, AR., Matthew Harris, Travis Hancock and Travis McCurry of Bentonville, AR., Mike Koch and Luke Durbin of Bella Vista, AR., John Bouman and James Bouman of Alaska; Red Griffin of Eldorado, James Gentry of Byers, CO., and Calvin Flowers of Groesbeck.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions made to the following charities to help others break free from their addictions: Harbor House Inc., P.O. Box 4207, Fort Smith, AR., 72914 or Horizons, 3113 S. 70th Street, Fort Smith, AR., 72903.
Funeral services are under the direction of Mason Funeral Home.

Edward Milton Huggins
Edward Milton Huggins, Jr., 77, passed away March 27, 2004, after serious health problems.
Ed was born August 18, 1926, in Rosenberg. He graduated from Rice University in 1949, with a BS in electrical engineering and was a member of the Rice Engineering Society. During World War II, Ed served in the Navy. After completing Rice University, he worked with his father, Edward, on the family ranch in Fulshear.
Ed was a member of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association for many years and was elected as a director of the Association in 1982. In 1996, he became an honorary TSCRA director. He served several times as a judge in the Commercial Bull Show for the Houston Livestock Show and Exposition. In addition, Ed was a 50-year member of the Brookshire Masonic Lodge #1066 AF and AM and served as a District Deputy Grand Master of the 108th Masonic District in Texas.
He was a 50-year member of the Scottish Rite in Galveston, and a member of the Alzafar Shrine in San Antonio. While a member of the Arabia Temple Shrine, he was awarded the Golden Cross Crutches for work with the Shrine Cripple Children’s Hospital in Houston. Ed was an active servant for his community.
He served for 19 years on the Lamar consolidated ISD board. For 13 years, he served as president of the board. He was elected and served two terms on the State Board of Education. Ed was a director of the First National Bank in Richmond.
An active member of the Methodist Church, Ed served as adult Sunday school superintendent, treasurer, and lay speaker for the First United Methodist Church in Fulshear. For many years, he served as a member of the Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees. He served as a director for the Coastal Plains Soil Conservation District and won the Fort Bend Press Award for Outstanding Conservationist in 1968.
Ed served as director and president of the Fort Bend County Farm Bureau and director of the Fort Bend County Fair Association.
In 1974, Ed and Betty moved their residence and business to Junction. Ed served as a member of the Kimble County Pecan Show committee and as a member and president of the Kimble County Tax Appraisal Board.
Ed is survived by his wife, Lisbeth (Betty), of the home; one daughter, Carolyn Michnoff and son-in-law, David, and two grandchildren, Liane and Alan Michnoff.
Pallbearers were Hayden Woodard, Bob Winship, John P. Henderson, John Hernandez, Dick Bowen, Rob Roy Spiller, Delbert Roberts and Jack Wendt.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. March 29, in the First United Methodist Church in Junction. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. March 30, at the Fulshear cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 902 Main Street, Junction, 76849 or Fulshear cemetery Association, P.O. Box 141, Fulshear, 77441.
Services were under the direction of Gentry-Fife Funeral Home.

Jack Garner Gardner
Mr. Jack Garner Gardner, a local rancher, passed away May 13, 2004, at his ranch in Kimble County. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, at the First Baptist Church in Junction.
Mr. Gardner was born on the family ranch at Roosevelt, on August 3, 1932. He attended Peacock Military Institute in San Antonio and Schreiner Institute in Kerrville, prior to his enlistment in the U. S. Army.
Jack was well known in the registered goat industry for his fine-haired Angoras. He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed deer management.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Ann Kothmann Gardner; his son, Gary Gardner, and wife, Robin; and two daughters, Lou Zane Burleson and husband,Todd, and Gina Gardner. Other survivors include five granddaughters Jessica, Whitney and Ashley Gardner and Heather and Harlea Burleson; two sisters, Zane Holland and husband, Rufe, and Billie Shannon Gardner. He is also survived by five nephews, Joseph Conrad, Joe Clay, Cole, Kelly and Gordon and nieces Molly, Jennifer and Julie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Bonnie Gardner and one brother, Joe M. Gardner, Jr.
Arrangements were made by Gentry-Fife Funeral Home.

Ervin D. Evans-Harrelson
Ervin Damon Jay Evans-Harrelson, “Jay”, 23, of Eldorado Springs, Missouri, was buried April 7. He was taken to be with our Lord and Savior April 3, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Keri and their son D.J. of Missouri. He is also survived by his father, Paul Evans and his wife, Wanda, of London; his mother, Jo-Beth Harrelson and her husband, Harold, of Walker, Missouri; three brothers, Leslie Evans-Harrelson and Justin Evans-Harrelson, both of Missouri and Matthew Evans of London; two sisters, Paula Evans of Texas and Eva Evans of New Mexico; one stepbrother, Terry Wools, Jr., of Texas; grandparents Damon Evans and Eva Montgomery, both of Junction; and two uncles, John Evans and Damon Jr., both of Junction.
There is a memorial service scheduled at the London Baptist Church April 14, at 3 p.m. He was taken from us too soon for our comfort, but our hope lies in 1 Thessaloni-ans 4:16-17. When the trumpet sounds, we will join him again to sit at the feet of our salvation The Lord Jesus Christ!

Dorothy Ruth Wedding Eardley
Dorothy Ruth Wedding Eardley, 73, passed away December 24, 2003, surrounded by her family. Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 26. Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Carrizo Springs, Saturday, December 27, at 3 p.m. Burial was in the Mt. Hope cemetery in Carrizo Springs.
She married Boyd B. Eardley August 31, 1946, in Carrizo Springs. She was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother.
Dorothy was employed by the Del Rio School District where she retired after 19 years.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years; two daughters, Sheryl Newton and husband, David, of Junction, and Peggy Haynes of Fairfield; one grandson, Dustin Newton and wife, Dana, of Junction and one granddaughter, Sarah Fusig and husband, Bill, of Alvin. Dorothy is also survived by one brother, Bryan Wedding and wife, Doris, of San Antonio.
Arrangements were by Gentry-Fife Funeral Home.

Louis Melvin Plumley
Louis Melvin Plumley, 84, of Junction, passed away at Kimble Hospital on Sunday, January 4, 2004.
Louis was born on April 19, 1919, in Douglas, Arizona. He was the son of the late John Allen Jr. and Ella Mae Plumley.
Louis married Mildred Mae Riggs on November 30, 1945, in San Saba.
He served in the Army during World War II, and received two bronze medals for his service during the Battle of the Bulge.
Louis was the minister of the Full Gospel Church in Fredericksburg for about ten years, starting in 1969.
He was in the pecan business off and on throughout his life. In 1975, he and his son, Sammy, formed Plumley Pecan Company in Junction.
In most recent years, Louis enjoyed the simple things in life: drives in the country with his children and grandchildren and spending time at the pecan shop with his family, friends and his cats. His family and friends were truly blessed by his love.
Louis is survived by his sister, Eva Jememia Hinds, of Brady; two sons, Sammy Plumley and wife, Gwen, of Junction and Louis Ward Plumley and wife, Linda, of Fort Worth; five grandchildren, Louis Everett Plumley and wife, Rebecca, of Plano; Shane Plumley and wife, Mary, of Lampasas; Cody Plumley and wife, Misty, of Junction; Monica Miller and husband, Bill, of Fort Worth; and Carter Plumley and wife, Melody, of Uvalde; granddaughter-in-law Jennifer Plumley; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters Maudine Velma Carson, Velma Mae Evans, Billie Ruth Storms and Maurice Bailey; and four brothers Albert Lee Plumley, John Franklin Plumley, Willis Oliver Plumley and Alvin Plumley.
Funeral services were officiated by Cecil Conner and Greg Davis at Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba on Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. Pallbearers were David Adams, Jimmie Trimble, Monty Riggs, Mitchell Riggs, Marcus Riggs and Kenneth Plumley. Interment icon was in China Creek cemetery in San Saba. Local arrangements were by Gentry-Fife Funeral Home.

Norman Kittrell (Doc) Farmer
Norman Kittrell (Doc) Farmer died on January 3, 2004, in Junction, where he was born on November 19, 1906. The son of A.G. Farmer and Norma Durst Farmer, he was a fifth generation Texan. He operated the F5 Ranch, first in partnership with his father and then for a number of years as sole proprietor.
He married Lydia (Bea) Black Farmer in November, 1930. During the drought years of the '50’s, he and Bea moved to San Antonio, where he became a nationally recognized salesman for the 3M Company. Following the death of his wife in 1959, he married Patty Lou McCloud in 1960. They moved to the F5 Ranch in 1969.
A 1926 graduate of Junction High School, Doc was in the class of 1930 at Texas A&M;, where he was a yell leader. He was always active in civic affairs in Junction: founding member of the Hill Country Fair Association, Kimble County Commissioner, board member of First State Bank, founding member of the North Llano TV Corp, and member of various agricultural and land conservation organizations in Kimble County.
The F5 Ranch was particularly well known for Doc's land conservation practices. He was a Mason and recently recognized for his 65-year membership, Junction City Lodge #548 AF & AM.
Survivors include his wife, Patty McCloud Farmer, of Junction; one sister, Louise Boyer, of Austin; three sons, Norman Kittrell Farmer, Jr. and George Stanford Farmer, both of Austin, and David Robb Farmer of Taos, N.M.; four grandchildren, Lydia Farmer Lowry, David Robb Farmer, Jr., Colin Jarrett Farmer, Edward Kittrell Farmer; and great-grandchildren, William Price Lowry, IV, Benjamin Kittrell Lowry, Jamysen Farmer, Samuel Neil Farmer, and Jarrett Farmer.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 6, at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Junction.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lydia B. Farmer Scholarship at Texas A&M; University or the Kimble County Library.
Arrangements were under the direction of Gentry-Fife Funeral Home.

Thomas Leon Bundick
Thomas Leon Bundick, 60, of Junction, passed away at his home on Monday, December 29, 2003. Graveside services were officiated by Rev. Dennie Jackson on Wednesday, December 31, at 2 p.m. in Junction City cemetery.
Tommy was born on March 13, 1943, in Junction. He was the son of the late Leslie Martin and Ruby Alma Bundick.
Tommy married Jean Blackwood on June 30, 1961, in San Angelo. They lived most of their married life in Junction and London.
Tommy worked for 37 years as a truck driver for Dayton Oil in London and was then employed by Croft Petroleum in Junction for four years. At the time of his death, he was with Texas Country Fuel Service in Junction.
Tommy was an avid outdoorsmen that loved to fish with his son in bass tournaments. He was a member of the Brownwood Bass Club for six years.
Best of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Bundick of Junction; his son, Leslie Bundick and wife, Peggy, of Bangs; his daughter, Sandra Marie McCord and husband, Jim, of Burnet; five grandchildren, Kayme and Tommy Bundick of Junction, Jimmy and Brandon McCord of Burnet, and Kim Bundick of Bangs. His siblings include Leslie Jr. Bundick and wife, Fern, of Junction; David Howard Bundick; and Donleta Conner and husband, Cecil, all of Junction.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Imogene Bundick.
Pallbearers were Cecil Martin Conner, Darrell Bundick, Kevin Croft, Brack Blackwood, Jeff Blackwood, and Reagan Nixon. His grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
Arrangements were by Gentry-Fife Funeral Home.
