Virgil Nolan Hill Jr.

Virgil Nolan "Bug" Hill Jr., 66, a 35 year resident of Town Bluff community, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Newton, TX. The family will greet friends on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 6:00 PM at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. In Lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Nolan Hill Jr. Memorial Fund at Shultz Funeral Home 1900 S. Wheeler St. Jasper, TX 75951.
Nolan was born on December 16, 1953 to Virgil Nolan Hill Sr. and Nancy Louise Pace in Brownwood, TX. Nolan was a hard worker all of his life. He started out at Fort Polk as a member of the U.S. Army. He went on to become a Class A machinist with Otis Engineering, a car salesman and mechanic, Tug boat operator/laborer, Truck driver and a great Carpenter. His career as a carpenter led him to know many lives who know him today. He had many hobbies he loved doing which included: arrowhead hunting, bowling, achieved Red Belt in Taekwondo, hunting and most of all fishing. He was on the Otis Bass Club and won numerous fishing awards and competitions. If you weren't catching fish, he probably was! He loved trot-lining, crappie and bass fishing and most recently became a "salty" for trout, flounder and red fish. Within the last 3 years Nolan gave his life to GOD. Nolan's final days of attendance at New Life Church were filled with expressive worship, like he had never known. He was Baptized in Jesus Name on March 31st, 2019 and filled with the Holy Ghost on May 5th, 2019. Preceded in death by his parents Virgil Hill Sr. and Nancy Pace; as well as a brother Danny Hill. Survivors include two sons Nolan Hill III & wife Jennifer of Jasper, TX and Nathaniel Hill & wife Kaytlyn of Lufkin, TX; a daughter Melinda Dodson & husband Chris of League City, TX; two sisters Candy Dodson of Wylie, TX and Tammy Hill of Holly Springs, TX; as well as grandchildren Natalie, Leigha, Ryder, Andrew & Nicole.

Robert Sanders

Robert Sanders, 71, of Kirbyville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Silsbee. The family will greet friends on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Shultz Funeral Home with Celebration of Life Service to follow at 5:00 PM. In Lieu of Flowers please make donation In Memory of Robert Sanders to St. Jude Children Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
Robert was born on April 11, 1948 in Painesville, Ohio to Clifford and Mary Sanders. Served in the Vietnam in the U.S. Army. He spent his life as a Technician for World Wide Mobile Homes. On May 17, 2002 he married the love of his life Clara Fae McLeod. Precede in death by his parents Clifford and Mary Sanders. Survivors include his wife of 18 years Clara McLeod Sanders of Kirbyville, TX; sons Bobby Sanders of Ohio, Mark Sanders of Indiana, Clifford Sanders of Ohio, Frank Futral of New York and Jeff Futral of Texas; daughters Danelle Stoddard of Ohio, Beth Ann Magda of Ohio and April Tabarsi of Texas; brothers Mikey Sanders of Ohio and Ricky Sanders of Ohio; sisters Bertha Girdler of Ohio and Ruthie Leasure of Ohio; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Faye Jones
1934 - 2020

Faye Jones, 85, of Jasper, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Woodville Health & Rehab Center in Woodville. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Jasper Church of Christ in Jasper with Reception to follow at the Christian Service Center. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper.
Faye was born on September 03, 1934 to Cordie & Lon Boyett in Temple Springs in Jasper County, Texas. A longtime resident of Silsbee, Beaumont and Jasper. From 1977 - 1996 she was an Assistant Cashier for 1st State Bank in Jasper. Preceded in death by her parents Cordie & Lon Boyett, husband Thomas Fred Jones, Daughter Linda Ellis Bryant and son Robert "Bobby" Ellis. Survivors include sisters Phoebe Irvine & Roy of Athens, TX and Edith Bryan of Jasper, TX; grandchildren Kellie Mabry & husband Michael of Woodville, TX and Robert Ellis of Lufkin, TX; as well as great-grandchildren Alanna, Leeland & Karlie McIntyre of Woodville, TX, Kolton & Kahne Mabry of Fairfield, TX and Tucker Dane & Kadon Eli Ellis of Lufkin, TX.

Llacee McDaniel
1986 - 2020

Llacee McDaniel, 33, of Newton, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 in Newton at her residence. The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 6:30 PM at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper.
Llacee was born on October 08, 1986 to Linda & Walter McDaniel in Cleveland, TX. Preceded in death by her father Walter McDaniel. Survivors include a mother Linda McDaniel of Jasper, TX; a fiance Luis Vera if Queens, NY; a son Easton Lee McDaniel of Jasper, TX; two half brothers Kelley Wayne Ellis of Texas City, TX and Kevin Quinton Ellis of Texas City, TX; a sister Belinda McGraw & husband Steve of Jasper, TX; as well as a half sister Cynthia Bolf & husband James of Ledbetter, TX.

Maria Isidra "Sheila" Lozoya
1946 - 2020

Maria Isidra "Sheila" Lozoya, 73, of Longview, TX, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 in Tyler, TX. Private services were held.
A native of Mexico and longtime resident of Jasper, TX. Sheila was born on May 24, 1946 in Atascaderos, Chihuahua, Mexico to Guadalupe Rodriquez and Abelina Herrera. A familiar face at Due's and Golden Corral. She is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe Rodriquez and Abelina Herrera. Sheila is survived by her husband Efrain Lozoya of Mexico; a son Ruben Lozoya and wife Carol of Beaumont, TX; daughters Maribel Lozoya and husband Hector Medrano of Smithville, TX, Zoila Ivette Lozoya of Tyler, TX and Rosa Velia and husband Juan Zavala of Longview, TX; brothers Geronimo Rodriquez, Guillermo Rodriquez and Matilde Rodriquez; a sister Jenoveva Rodriquez; a nephew Maro Rodriquez; a niece Rosa Rodriquez; grandchildren Alex, Nicholas, Brianna, Benjamin, Lissette, Joshua, Karisma, Joel, Jonathan, Luke, Jake, Holly and Jose Navarro; as well as great-grandchildren Jaxon and Audrey.

Ruby Athalene Merritt Boykin
1927 - 2020

Ruby Athalene Merritt Boykin, 93, of Jasper, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020 in Jasper. Due to the current outbreak of COVID -19 and the safety of others , private services were held at Boykin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boykin Cemetery Maintenance Fund at 304 Westwood Jasper, Texas 75951.
Ruby was born on January 31, 1927 to Margaret & F.P. Merritt in Plum Ridge, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret & F.P. Merritt; husband George W. Boykin; a son Joe Boykin; as well as a granddaughter Wendy Zumwalt. She is survived by her sons Frank Boykin and Tommy Boykin & wife Alice of Jasper; daughters Linda Sharry of Atlanta, TX and Sharon Atkins of Jasper, TX; daughter in law Sherry Boykin of Jasper, TX; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Michael Todd
1959 - 2020

Michael Todd, 60, of Jasper, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Private services will be held at a later date.
Michael was born on May 09, 1959 to Corene & James Todd. A native of Houston, TX and former resident of Hemphill,, TX. He spent his life as a Millwright at Temple Inland in Pineland, TX. On December 24, 1994 in San Augustine, TX he married the love of his life Bonita Jo Burns. He is preceded in death by his parents Corene & James Todd. Survivors include his wife of 25 years Bonita Todd of Jasper, TX; four sons Billy Todd & wife Brandy of Mason, TX, Michael Todd Jr. & wife Leslie of Winnie, TX, Jared Todd & wife Carissa of Beaumont, TX and Brendyn Todd & wife Emily of Nacogdoches, TX; one daughter Julie Todd of Nacogdoches, TX; two brothers Frank Todd of Hemphill, TX and Clifton Todd of Buna, TX; as well as numerous grandchildren.
