Eunice Edna Hilton
1914-2000
Service for Eunice Edna Hilton, 85, of Decatur is Sunday, April 16, 2000, in the Coker Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. The Rev. Jack Gatewood is to preside. Burial is to follow at Preskitt Cemetery in Wise County.
Hilton died on April 14, 2000, in Decatur.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1914, in Dekalb.
Hilton was a retired seamstress for Lorch-Westway Manufacturing. She married the late Homer Leo Hilton on May 18, 1933, in Texarkana, Ark. He died on Feb. 5, 2000. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur and the Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Michael Hilton.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Hilton of Houston; a daughter, Patricia Hilton of Bluefield, West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.

Shirley Frances Kissner
1938-2000
Graveside service for Shirley Frances Kissner, 61, of Fort Worth, was to be Saturday, April 15, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Princeton.
Kissner died Thursday, April 13, 2000, in Fort Worth.
Born Sept. 16, 1938, in Farmersville, she is survived by three daughters, Vicki Kissner of Washington, Cindy Kissner of Alvarado, Debbie Kissner Myers of Fort Worth; three brothers, Walter White of Grand Prairie, Jerry W. White of Waxahachie and Monte D. White of Lavon; a sister, Marie Barnes of Kemp; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Owen Jerral Landers
1922-2000
Service for Owen Jerral Landers, 78, mayor of Aurora, will be Monday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Newark. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Cemetery in Colleyville. Family visitation is Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m. at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Landers died Thursday, April 13, 2000, after a long battle with cancer.
Born Aug. 14, 1922, to Oren and Dosia Landers in Sanger, he served in the Air Force during World War II. He moved to Hurst in 1955 and worked as a maintenance supervisor for Bell Helicopter for 33 years. He was a member of Local Union #218. After retiring in 1983, he moved to Aurora where he was elected mayor. He held the office unopposed for more than 13 years until his death.
He was active in the Community Christmas Pals and helped rebuild Grace Baptist Church in Newark.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerlene Landers; daughters Cheryl Landers Collins and Cathy Landers Hale; his parents; his brothers, Herman, Lewis, Johnnie and Nolan and a sister, Janie Snow.
He is survived by a son, Jerral F. and wife Lynnette Landers of Hurst; grandsons, Cory Landers of Corpus Christi, Kelly Landers and Cody Landers of Hurst; granddaughters, Michelle Harris and Misty Collins of Hurst; his sisters, Marie Calvert of Fort Worth and Kay Whistler and husband Bob of Decatur; sisters-in-law Mae Landers of Denton, Colleen Landers of Fort Worth and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Whistler, Harold Landers, Donnie Landers, Tim Landers, John Green and Chuck Rinehart.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Grace Baptist Church in Newark.

Nettie Chambers
1909-2000
Service for Nettie Chambers, 90, of Dallas was Wednesday, April 26 at the Sunset United Methodist Church in Sunset. The Rev. Mary Rarden officiated and burial followed at Sunset Cemetery.
Chambers died April 24, 2000, at her home in Dallas.
Born Aug. 30, 1909, in Forestburg, Chambers was a retired teacher. She was a member of the Sunset United Methodist Church in Sunset and she grew up in Forestburg. She graduated from the University of North Texas with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She taught school at Stoneburg, Sunset, Park Springs and Chico during her 36-year teaching career. She married Darrell Ray Chambers Sr. on Dec. 24, 1934, in Stoneburg. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Ettie Smith; and two half-brothers, Hoke and Everett Medley.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Lou Anna Chambers of Dallas; two grandchildren, Scott and his wife Helen of Mansfield and Jennifer Chambers of Duncanville; two great-grandchildren, Britani and Mickey Chambers, both of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Joseph W. Kell
1917-2000
Joseph W. Kell, 82, of Rhome, died April 26, 2000, in Fort Worth. A private service will be held at a future date.
Born July 17, 1917, in Indianapolis, Ind., he was a master stone carver. He was a veteran of WW II and flew 37 missions in B-17s. He left the service in 1955 as a first lieutenant. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Stamford.
He is survived by his wife, Marvis Kell of Rhome; his sons, Joseph W. Kell II and James L. Kell, both of Ocala, Fla.; a daughter, Karen K. White of Caholunn, La.; a sister, Mary Jean Raines of Bloomington, Ind; two grandsons; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; one stepson and two stepdaughters.

Howard Wade Kranklin
1937-2000
Service for Howard Wade Franklin, 63, of Bridgeport was Thursday, April 27, at the Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. The Rev. Ryan Reed officiated.
Wade died April 23, 2000, in Decatur.
Born Jan. 5, 1937, in Marietta, Ga., Franklin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of Georgia Tech. He was a retired systems consultant for NCR Corp. and a member of the MENSA Society.
Survivors include a son, Michael Wade Franklin; a daughter, Sarah Van Vlake; a sister, Edwina Franklin and a grandson, Michael Wade Franklin, Jr.

Horace Leman McQuiston
1925-2000
Service for Horace Leman McQuiston, 74, of Runaway Bay, was Friday, April 28, at the First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport. The Rev. Michael Parsons officiated. Burial was to be Saturday, April 29, at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Tulsa, Okla.
McQuiston died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, in Plano.
Born July 2, 1925, in Okmulgee, Okla. to Horance Leman and Ethel McQuiston, he married Madalyn K. Brewer on June 9, 1946, in Winfield, Kan. There were married 53 years. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1949 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He and his wife had lived in Runaway Bay since 1977. He served on the Runaway Bay City Council from 1980 to 1984 and as mayor from 1984 to 1986. He was a retired manager in industrial relations for Lear Jet. An elder of the Presbyterian Church, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport and a member of the church choir.
He is survived by his wife, Madalyn, of Runaway Bay; his sons, Harvey and wife Colleen McQuiston of Katy, Garrett and wife Kathy McQuiston of Plano and Mike and wife Kristi McQuiston of Decatur; six grandchildren, Meredith, Tiffany, Ryan, Cassidy, Carlye and Mallory and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Les Raley, Robert Mote, Ed Duris, Stan Briney, Rick Macom, Sam Park, Wayne Harveson and Dave Reilly.

Betty Jean Phillips
1961-2000
Graveside service was held April 27 at West Bridgeport Cemetery for Betty Jean Phillips, 38, of Bridgeport. The Rev. Fred Villa officiated.
She died Thursday, April 20, 2000, in Decatur.
Phillips was born Oct. 30, 1961, in Levelland. She was a caregiver for Integracare of Bridgeport and was a member of the Harvest Time Church.
She is survived by her mother, Maxine Strickland; two daughters, Laura Phillips and Chloe Phillips; three brothers, Andy Crisp, Arthur Strickland and Dougly Strickland; and three sisters, Rita Harris, Lawana Strickland and Debbie Pigg.
Pallbearers were Darrell Hicks, Shane Norman, Robert Holland, Cody Roberts and James Idell.

Cletus Douglas Rich
1948-2000
Service for Cletus Douglas Rich, 52, of Paradise, was Friday, April 28, at the Jefferson Unitarian Church in Fort Worth.
Rich died Tuesday, April 25, 2000.
Born Dec. 10, 1948, in Providence, Ky., he graduated from Western Kentucky University and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1973 to 1993. He retired as a major. He was awarded the Meritorious Service medal, the Air Force Commendation medal with three oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Achievement medal with one oak leaf cluster. While in the Air Force, he earned a second bachelors degree in nursing from West Texas State University. He also earned a masters degree in nursing in 1994 from the University of Texas at Arlington. He was a member of USCTA and was president of the board of the Brazos Valley Hunt Club in Wise County. He was a representative for Excel Communications.
He is survived by John Huffman; children, Cathy, Scott and Kimberly; a grandson, Evan Matthew Lincoln and his parents, Cletus M. and Mary E. Rich.

Mary Katherine ‘Kitsy’ Runyan
1955-2000
Service for Mary Katherine “Kitsy” Runyan, 44, of Boyd, was to be Saturday, April 29, at Greenwood Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial was to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Runyan died Thursday, April 27, 2000, in Fort Worth.
Born Aug. 8, 1955, in Fort Worth, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Runyan of Boyd; a daughter, Jennifer Grace of Boyd; two sisters, Sherri Taylor and Kim Wilson of Boyd; a brother, Tommy Whatley III of Azle; her parents, Tom and Dorothy Whatley of Boyd and several nieces and nephews.

Trevor Keith Saunier

Service for Trevor Keith Saunier of Valley View will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2000, at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Decatur. The Rev. Lee Roy Jackson will officiate.
Saunier was born April 4, 2000 in Denton and died April 5, 2000 in Fort Worth.
Survivors include his parents, Chris and Dena Saunier of Valley View; his twin brother, Tristen Christopher Saunier; his grandparents, Kay and Lanny Foreman of Runaway Bay and Bill and Elanor Rotteker of Houston; and his great-grandparents Juanita Daniels of Runaway Bay and Ruth Foreman of Bridgeport.
A fund has been established for the family at the First National Bank of Runaway Bay.

Jimmie Lee Stone
1934-2000
Service for Jimmie Lee Stone, 65, of Decatur, was Friday, April 28, at Hawkins Funeral Chapel.
Stone died Wednesday, April 26, 2000 at Decatur Community Hospital.
Born Dec. 23, 1934, in Sherman, he was a retired service station attendant. He married Alice Hendricks on Nov. 16, 1977, in Durant, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Stone, of Decatur; his father-in-law, Virgil L. Hendricks; a son, Dale Stone; a daughter, Ruby Ann Galindo; a brother, Tommy Stone; his sisters, Linda Thompson, Jackie Thompson and Dora Mangrum and six grandchildren, Nico, Gina, Sally, Haley, Faith and Dylan.

Ruby Opal Kinsey
1911-2000
Service for Ruby Opal Kinsey, 89, of Bridgeport was Monday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. Dr. Bill Dye officiated and burial followed at East Bridgeport Cemetery.
Kinsey died April 22, 2000, in Bridgeport.
Born Jan. 25, 1911, in Bridgeport, Kinsey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. She was a salesperson in the retail clothing industry and was preceded in death by her husband, Gabe Kinsey.
Survivors include a nephew, Tom Clark of Las Vegas, Nev.; two nieces, Jackie Fuson of Lovington N.M. and Sherry Whister of San Diego, Calif.; a cousin, Betty Chaney of Decatur; and three great-nieces.
Pallbearers were Kevin Woodard, Craig Woodard, Stacy Green, Barry Green, James Pewitt and Mike Pewitt.

Ryan Nichole ‘Nickie’ O’Dell
1984-2000
Service for Ryan Nichole “Nickie” O’Dell, 15, of Alvord was to be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. The Rev. M.L. Milton was to officiate and burial was to follow at the West Bridgeport Cemetery.
O’Dell died April 22, 2000, in Decatur.
Born April 28, 1984, in Fort Worth, O’Dell was a sophomore at Alvord High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Alvord.
Survivors include her parents, Brad O’Dell and Susie Kramer; her grandparents, Mary O’Dell, Phyllis Kramer and Dorothy Jane Bridges; two brothers, Brandon Moss and Bradley Joe O’Dell; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Pallbearers were to be Billy, Manuel, Sergio and Joe Talementes, Jason and Xavier O’Dell, Paul Bridges and Terry Ulery.

Mary Lee Taylor
1933-2000
Service for Mary Lee Taylor, 66, of Decatur was Tuesday, April 25 at the Coker Funeral Home Chapel. D. Ray Taylor officiated and burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Taylor died April 22, 2000, in Decatur.
Born Aug. 22, 1933, in Bowie, Taylor was married to Delbert J. Taylor on Aug. 20, 1950, in Texarkana. She was a retired purchasing agent for a communications company.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert, of Decatur; two daughters, Theresa Stephens and Kim Taylor, both of Decatur; a brother, James William Brown of Fort Worth; and a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Fee of Temple.

J.V. Woolaver
1927-2000
Service for J.V. Woolaver, 73, of Abilene was Saturday, at Calvary Baptist Church in Abilene with the Rev. Wayne Oglesby and Jerry Poteet officiating. Burial followed in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene.
Woolaver died Thursday, April 20, 2000, in Abilene.
Born March 9, 1927, in Decatur, Woolaver was raised and attended schools in Wise County. He lived in Cisco, Albany, Breckenridge, Abilene and San Antonio, returning to Abilene in 1977. He was self-employed in the well servicing business and later worked for the Texas Railroad Commission in the Oil and Gas Division until he retired in 1981.
Woolaver and his wife, Marie Weir Woolaver, whom he married in Fort Worth on Dec. 7, 1946, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1996. Woolaver was an active member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Woolaver in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Marie, of Abilene; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Bill Adling of Lubbock and Donna and Jim Leech of Albany; three brothers, Calvin and Bill Woolaver, both of Decatur and Ray Woolaver of Bridgeport; a sister, Maye Lefler of Fort Worth; and five grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Adling, Dustin Whittaker Adling, James Cody Leech, Kimberly Dee Leech and Brittany Hull.
Pallbearers were Dennis Cotten, L.J. Nelms, Bob Johnson, Gil Leonard, Lowell Fine, J. Lee Pruett, Claude Burton and Ewing Nelson.
