Willie Mae Goode Turner
ROCHESTER -- Willie Mae Goode Turner, 87, died Thursday at her home after a long illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rochester First United Methodist Church with the Revs. James Patterson and Trey Turner officiating. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Turner was born in Decatur and was a homemaker. She was a Methodist and was the widow of S.F. Turner Sr., whom she married in 1926 in Rochester.
Survivors include seven daughters, Loveta Hearn of Rochester, Maxine Ingle of Beeville, Frances Meier of Old Glory, Frankie Simpkins of Big Spring, Mollie Lee of Clyde, Jean Meier of Rule and Ann Wright of Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, S.F. "Sam" Turner Jr. of Monahans and Kenneth Turner of Nashville, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Patricia Pennock
Patricia Pennock, 85, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hillcrest Church of Christ Chapel with Dwight Robarts, Bill Luttrell and Rusty McLen officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Pennock was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and was a homemaker. She moved to Abilene in 1974 from Denver. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and was the widow of Harold Charles Pennock, whom she married in 1935 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Survivors include one son, David Pennock of Dallas; two daughters, Aynsley Fritts of Abilene and Carolyn Nicks of Westlake Village, Calif.; two brothers, Lionel Johnson of Atascadero, Calif., and Merle Johnson of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; one sister, Irene Wood of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ura Shotwell
Ura C. (Mrs. Pete E.) Shotwell, 96, widow of the former Abilene High Schoolfootball coach and athletic director for whom Shotwell Stadium was named, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Archie Echols officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Shotwell was born in Dublin and grew up in Canyon and Plemmons. She graduated from West Texas State College in Canyon and was the first student to earn a master's degree from Hardin-Simmons University. She moved to Abilene in 1923 and married Pete E. Shotwell in 1925 in Minnesota. She taught school for 10 years. She worked with the fall program at Locust Center for many years. She was recognized by the Balfour Co. in Dallas in 1977 for her work with the Texas High School Coaches Association coaching school. She was a past president of the City Federation of Women's Clubs and, in 1960, was named to head the Women's Division of the United Fund campaign. She was a member of Abilene Study Club, Abilene Woman's Club and McMurry Woman's Club. She also was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was a past president of the Woman's Society of Christian Service.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Shotwell of Abilene and Dick Shotwell of Canyon Lake; and one grandchild.
Memorials may be sent to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 525 Beech, Abilene 79601.
The family will be at 1835 Idlewild.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Ann Mashburn
Ann Mashburn, 64, formerly of Merkel, died Saturday in Abilene.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Merkel First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Stith Cemetery in Jones County, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home of Merkel.
Mrs. Mashburn was born in Merkel and graduated from Merkel High School in 1951 and Hardin-Simmons College in 1953. She married Franklin Mashburn in 1954 in Merkel. She taught kindergarten at College Baptist Church in Big Spring and was a homemaker. She was a member of Merkel First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one daughter, Lee Ann Henline of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.

Ada Mae Bell
Ada Mae Bell, 89, died Saturday in a Big Spring nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park with Dr. Elbert Peak officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Bell was born in Haskell, where she attended school. She also attended Hardin-Simmons University and Texas Women's University in Denton. She taught school in several West Texas cities, including Stanton, for about 12 years before retiring. She moved to Abilene in 1963 from Dallas. She was a member of Dallas First Baptist Church and was the widow of Joe Bell, whom she married in 1940 in New Mexico.
Survivors include one sister, Loi Maxine Leonard of Abilene; and one niece, D'Andra Leonard of Odessa.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Sammy Dickey
GRAHAM -- Sammy Dickey, 40, relative of two Abilene residents, died Friday from injuries received in a semi-tractor trailer accident on Upper Flat Rock Road.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Graham First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Hill officiating. Burial will be in Medlan Chapel Cemetery, directed by McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.
Mr. Dickey was born in Del Rio and graduated from Eagle Pass High School in 1975. He attended Texas State Technical Institute in Waco. He married Joann Baker in 1976 in Baker's Crossing and moved to Graham in 1983 from Abilene. He was formerly employed by Dow Chemical in Abilene and Graham, and by Zac Burkett. He began working in 1991 for Kramer Construction Co. as a heavy equipment operator and diesel mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, of Graham; one son, Ben Dickey of Graham; one daughter, Jennifer Womble of Graham; his mother, Sylvia Dickey of Abilene; one sister, Peggy Eichner of Chandler, Ariz.; and one brother, Roger Dickey of Abilene.

Opal Dean Clinnard
SWEETWATER -- Opal Dean Clinnard, 80, of Abilene and formerly of Claytonville in Fisher County, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Keith Clifton officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Cemetery.
Mrs. Clinnard was born near Texarkana and moved to the Claytonville area at age 2. She lived in Gilmer for several years and, with her husband, owned and operated an auto parts store. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was the widow of Ray Clinnard, whom she married in 1954 in Abilene.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Williams of Abilene; one son, Glyn O'Briant of Conroe; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces.

Bunnie Henderson
COLEMAN -- Bunnie Henderson, 89, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Hattiesburg, Miss., and grew up in Texas. She lived from 1937-65 in San Antonio, where she worked in the laundry department at Fort Sam Houston. She lived in the Fredericksburg area for several years before moving to Coleman in 1981. She was a Catholic and was the widow of Andrew E. Henderson, whom she married in 1930 in Abilene.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruthie M. Kelley of Coleman; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Myrtle Morgan Siefken
DE LEON -- Myrtle Morgan Siefken, 86, of Canoga Park, Calif., died Thursday in Canoga Park.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Nowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Ransberger officiating. Burial will be in De Leon Cemetery.
Ms. Siefken was born in Mount Vernon and moved to California in 1963.
Survivors include one daughter, Loneta "Neta" Hammon Donaldson Wood of California; one sister-in-law, Pauline Morgan of De Leon; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
