Willie F. Derkowski, Sr.
Willie F. Derkowski, Sr., 82, of Chappell Hill passed away July 26, 2015. Willie Derkowsk’s family includes: wife, Edwina Derkowski; son, Willie Derkowski, Jr. and wife Raynell; daughter, Cynthia Ann Derkowski; grandchildren, Matthew Chovanec, Jennifer Nowicki and husband Dathan, Cody Derkowski, Jessica Cooper; great-grandchildren, Chasidy Nowicki, Halley Cooper, Bradley Nowicki; brothers and sisters, Chester Derkowski, Frances Benkowski, David Derkowski, Anna Derkowski; and numerous other family members. The family would like to thank all his doctors for the special care given Willie, also Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation, AMA Home Health Care, Washington County E.M.S. and numerous family and friends for their special care. Visitation with the Derkowski Family will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial for Willie Derkowski will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 31 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Monsignor Benedict Zientek as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorials are requested to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Edward William Sehlke
Edward William Sehlke, 80, of Brenham, the husband of Ruby Sehlke, died July 19, 2015 at Hospice Brazos Valley of Bryan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, with Pastor Denise Seymour officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include: his wife Ruby Sehlke of Brenham, sisters and brother-in-law: Clarice and Bobby Bredthauer of Burton and Betty Ann Hohlt of Burton, a sister in law; Alice Ahlhardt, nieces: Kathy Ransleben and Linda Wade nephews: Alan, Glenn, Kevin, Craig Hohlt and Byron Bredthauer, and first cousins Garland Sehlke and Faye Pomphankin. Edward was preceded in death by his son, Robert William Sehlke, parents, nephew Albert Ahlhardt, brothers-in-law: Elmer Hohlt, and Elwood Ahlhardt. Betty Jarvis, age 81 of Navasota passed away on July 8, 2015. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, from 2:00 - 4:00pm with funeral services following at 7:00pm at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Dobbs officiating. Interment will be private. Max Harry Faterkowski
Max Harry Faterkowski, 87, the husband of Maggie Zientek Faterkowski, died July 9, 2015 in Houston. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill, with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, Celebrant, and Deacon John Pelletier. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary scheduled for 7 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Maggie Faterkowski of Chappell Hill; sons and daughters-in-law Harry and Doris Faterkowski of Chappell Hill and Robert and Rose Marie Faterkowski of Houston; daughters and sons-in-law Jeanne and David Bunch of Cypress, and Jeannette and Richard Bartels of Tomball; grandchildren: Ryan and Kim Faterkowski, Rachel Faterkowski, Morgan and Scott Cooke, Meagan Faterkowski, Christopher Faterkowski, Matthew and Allison Bunch, Ashley Bartels; step-grandchildren: Ryan Bartels and Eric Bartels; great-grandchildren: Steven and Rylee Faterkowski; sister, Helen Pawlowski of Willis. Also surviving are numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Preceding him in death were his parents, nine brothers and two sisters. Funeral arrangements for Max Harry Faterkowski are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Martha Lee (Weiss) Patrick
Martha Lee (Weiss) Patrick, 92, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2015 in Brenham, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gilbert, Delmus and Delphine; sister Laura Belle Zuehlke and husband James Patrick Jr. She is survived by her two sons, Cecil Lee Patrick, John Clark Patrick along with four grandchildren, Laura Leigh Patrick Rogers, Robert Lee Patrick-Gregory, John Clark Patrick Jr. and James Christopher Patrick. Funeral services for Martha Lee Patrick are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at Wesley Brethren Church, with Pastor Michael Groseclose officiating. Burial will take place in Resthaven Cemetery in Houston at 2:45 p.m. Monday. Visitation is scheduled for 5:30 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral arrangements for Martha Lee Patrick are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Rose Olivarez
Rose Olivarez, 80, of Columbus, Texas passed away on July 7, 2015 in Columbus. She was born on September 4, 1934 to Rafael and Marta (Morales) Gonzales in Westhoff, TX. On June 5, 1960 she married Francisco Olivarez. Rose was a L.V.N. and a Home Health Care worker for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Mary Queen of the Snows #1588. Rose is survived by her daughters, Sarah Hernandez and husband Henry of Columbus, TX, and Lori Ligues of Columbus, TX; son, David Olivarez and wife Tracy of Columbus, TX; sisters, Martha Gonzales of Cuero, TX, Belen Sims of Clifton, TX, Margaret Longoria and husband Manuel of Houston, TX, Mary Carlow of Victoria, TX, Annie Morrison and husband Jim of Scottsdale, AZ, and Frances Cuellar and husband John of Seguin, TX; brothers, Tim Gonzales of Indianapolis, IN, Alfred Gonzales of Kansas City, MO, Tom Gonzales of Houston, TX, Val Gonzales of Manor, TX, Manuel Gonzales and wife Sherry of Dale, TX, Ralph Gonzales of San Antonio, TX, and Louis Gonzales of Odessa, TX; 7 grandchildren, Madison, Marcus, and Molly Olivarez of Columbus, TX, Jett Ligues of Columbus, TX, Jessica DeSantis and husband Mike of Ft. Worth, TX, Jacqueline Hernandez of Conroe, TX, and Janelle Hernandez of Columbus, TX; and 3 great-grandchildren, Cruz, Lucas, and Kali DeSantis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Olivarez, parents, Rafael and Marta Gonzales, sister, Candice Mitten, and son-in-law, Richard Ligues. Jack Edward “Tebo” Ray, Jr., 52, of Somerville, died July 3, 2015, in Somerville, TX. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Hilda Cormier Meaux passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at home in Brenham, Texas. Hilda is survived by daughters, Georgia LaPointe Yoffe and husband Dr. Stuart J. Yoffe of Brenham, Faye LaPointe Reedy and husband Jeff Reedy of Winnie, one granddaughter, Amanda White Elliott and grandson-in-law, Robert Craig Elliott, four great-grandchildren Robert Taylor Elliott, Garrison Maes Elliott, William Craig Elliott, Amelia Claire Elliott of Dallas; one step-granddaughter, Candice Reedy Farnie of Charlotte, North Carolina, and two sisters Beulah Thibodeaux of Branch, Louisiana, and Iris White of Goodyear, Arizona, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Elizabeth (Rosner) Wesneski, age78, passed away December 31, 2014 at her home in Houston. She is survived by: her husband of 58 years, Steve Wesneski; children and spouses, Shirley and Dan Atwood of Waco, Steven Ray Wesneski of Houston, Donnie and Debbie Wesneski of Brenham; grandchildren, Aron and Jenny Wesneski, Justin Kidd, Arianna Atwood, Josh Atwood, Kristi and Greg Harris, Angela Wesneski; great-grandchildren, Payton, Taylor and Addyson Wesneski, Lane, Presley and Paige Harris; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Eugene Calaway; sister-in-law, Pearl Rosner; numerous nieces and nephews.
