Grace Barrett, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, in Borger. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Calvin Newton, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Borger, officiating. Burial will be in "The Garden of Love" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include her husband, Holland Barrett of the home; one daughter, Virginia Ferguson of Borger; a brother, Lloyd McDonald of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Billie Morrow of Borger and Faye Morrow of Odessa; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

JAMES CARL CATES
James Carl Cates, 94, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, in Raton, N.M. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger with Rev. Rex Tiffin officiating Survivors include a daughter, Noreen Sue Lamb, of Raton, N.M.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Leonard E. Randolph
ALTUS, Okla. – Leonard E. Randolf, 98, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, in Altus, Okla. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kincannon Funeral Home Chapel in Altus, Okla., with Mr. Bill Osborne officiating. Burial was in Altus City Cemetery in Altus, Okla. Survivors include his wife, Lucile of Altus, Okla.; two daughters, Renetta Small of Bartlesville, Okla., and Doris Brewer of Yerington, Nev.; one son, Bobby Randolph of Borger; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lutie Lyle Willingham Romine
Lutie Lyle Willingham Romine, 108, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger, with a grandson, Benjamin Carl Willingham of the Church of Christ in Gainesville officiating. Interment will be in "The Garden of Hope" at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two daughters, Wenonah Willingham Martin and Jewel Willingham Haswell and husband, Robert Ball, of Amarillo; and two sons, E.W. Willingham and wife, Billie, of Gainesville, and Ben J. Willingham and wife, June, of Salado. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild.

Eula Stevens
Eula Stevens, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, in Spearman. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stinnett Cemetery with Rev. Ron Downs officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Stevens of Talihina, Okla., Bill Stevens of Stinnett, Delbert Stevens of Texline and Raymond Stevens of Borger; four daughters, Viola Mackey of Bridgeport, Okla., Aline Bentley of Alvin, Okla., Ann Cole of Borger and Beatrice Stevens of Borger; one sister, Onita Maxwell of Talihina, Okla.; 25 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Ira "Bud" PaPa Yake
YAKE RANCH – Ira "Bud" PaPa Yake, 64, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, on Yake Ranch, 15 miles southwest of Stinnett. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Riverview Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Gillmore, pastor, and chaplain Bob Thomas, Crown of Texas Hospice in Amarillo, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery in Stinnett under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include his wife, Alice Yake of the home; one son, Henry Yake of Dumas; three daughters, Faye Hooper, JoBeth Contreras and Melissa Russell all of Borger; two brothers, Bill Yake of Stinnett and Cal "Runt" Yake of Stinnett; four sisters, Mary Gentry, Louise Sanders, Margie Lewis and Marsha Stout, all of Stinnett; ten wonderful grandchildren, Dustin and Kenya Yake of Poteet, Brandon and Jarred Hooper and Dezi and Kourtney Contreras all of Borger, Stacie and Shelty Cullon of Stinnett, Bobby and Mandi Russell of Stinnett; fifteen nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-nephew.

L.R. "Buddy" Webb, 69, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Panhandle. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Survivors include his wife, Nelda of Amarillo; four daughters, Janell Britten of Melissa, Janene Sherman of Amarillo, Janece Harvey of Conway and Janette Zamora of Amarillo; four brothers, Leroy Webb of Mansfield, Orval Webb of Aztec, N.M., Marvin Webb of Amarillo and Odell Webb of Quanah; five sisters, Margaret Oldham of Ft. Sumner, N.M., Erma Harkey of West Point, Calif., Arline Darrow of Hastings, Okla., Freda Briscoe of Dallas, and Lynda Harris of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jack Sargent
PAMPA – Jack Sargent, 80, died Sunday, March 10, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Dallas Sargent officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Survivors include one daughter, Pam Moree of Pampa; four brothers, Preston Sargent and Tony Sargent both of Pampa, Dallas Sargent of Kingfisher, Okla., and LeRoy Sargent of Fritch; two sisters, Jane Stokes of Lufkin and Drucella Hamrick of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Edward H. "Eddie" Papay
MORSE – Edward H. "Eddie" Papay, 53, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Morse with the Rev. Mike Martin, pastor, and Rev. Jerry Womble, pastor of Church of God in Stinnett. Interment will be in Lieb Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two daughters, Cassondra Lauderdale of Wetherford and Leslie Barnhart of Lewisville; parents, Ed and Marge Papay of Morse; two brothers, Gary Papay of Amarillo and Tony Papay of Morse; one sister, Milana Reiswig of Morse and four grandchildren.

Lewis Moore
Lewis Moore, 62, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002. Services were held on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Walker officiating. Burial was in Consolata Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Walker of Lake Charles, La. and Kelly Johnson of Clyde; one brother, Lawrence Moore of Fort Gibson, Okla.; one sister, Charlotte Castlemen of Gilmer and six grandchildren.

Verda Pirtle Love
Verda Pirtle Love, 94, died Friday, March 8, 2002, in Denison. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Andrew’s United Methdist Church with Rev. Weldon Rivers and Rev. John Dorn, officiating. Burial will be in "The Garden of the Beatitudes" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include three sons, Jack Pirtle of Borger, Charles Pirtle of Houston and Richard Pirtle of Canyon; one daughter, Virginia Casey of Sherman; one daughter-in-law, Jean Pirtle of Whittier, Calif.; two step-daughters, Ann Tamoglie of Memphis, Tenn. and Jean Schwartz of Dallas; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

W.M "Pete" Lieb
MORSE – W.M "Pete" Lieb, 83, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Spearman. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Morse with Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Burial will be Lieb Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman. Survivors include a brother, A. "Dean" Lieb.

Sandra Kay "Sissy" Leoso
Sandra Kay "Sissy" Leoso, 54, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, in Borger. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. on Monday at Stinnett Cemetery with Rev. Bill Sizemore, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include a son, John Wesley McPherson of Borger and a son in Oregon; a daughter who lives in the Fiji Islands; and four grandchildren.

Ray Jinkins
AMARILLO – Ray Jinkins, 59, died Friday, March 8, 2002, in Amarillo. Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Coulter Road Baptist Church with Rev. Travis LaDuke, officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home of Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, Joan Jinkins of Amarillo; one son, Stuart Jinkins of Amarillo; one daughter, Jennifer Rossen of Terrel; one brother, Tim Jinkins of Lubbock and his father, R.C. Jinkins of Borger.

Linda Hudson
CLEBURNE – Linda Hudson, 71, died Monday, March 11, 2002, in Ft. Worth. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel in Cleburne with Rev. Ward Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park in Cleburne. Survivors include her husband, Joe Hudson of Cleburne; one daughter, Jaime Martin of St. Anne, Ill.; step-daughters, Mary Hardin of Wichita Falls and Janet McSwain of Palestine; a step-son, David Hudson, of Wichita Falls; one brother, Ronnie Arendall of Cleburne; one grandchild, five step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

Callie Hartley
Callie Hartley, 81, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Services were held Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Yukon. Burial was in the Yukon Cemetery.
Survivors include her sister, Bonnie Fuller of Oklahoma City, Okla., and a brother, Bill Hartley of Pomona, Calif.

Dorothy Lorene Hammons
Dorothy Lorene Hammons, 82, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Adams of Borger, Lois English of Abilene, and Joyce Couch of Stinnett; three brothers, Randall and Leroy Ellis of Madill, Okla., and Carl Ellis of New Caney; five sisters, Linda Hooks of Stinnett, Christine Lee of Lebanon, Okla., Patsy Harvey of New Braunfels, Frances Hensley of New Caney and Wilma Lamb of Splendora; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Jane Fish
Dorothy Jane Fish, 78, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, in Borger. Private graveside services will be held. Interment will be in the "Garden of Devotion" at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include her husband, Walter Fish of the home; three sons, Andrew Fish of Bowie, Md., David Fish of Ft. Worth and Steven Fish of Houston; a sister, Margaret Sperling of Northfield, Ohio; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Peggy Lynn Cagle
Peggy Lynn Cagle, 64, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of God with Rev. Jonathan Back and Rev. Buck Lawley officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include her father, Gerald Townsend of Hereford; her mother, Lillie Pearl Townsend of Hereford and a brother, Gerald Lamar Townsend of Kershaw, S.C.
