Arthur B. Baker
Arthur B. Baker of Irving died Dec. 18 at the Denton Regional Medical Center. He was 71. Born in Denton Jan. 15, 1926, Mr. Baker was a former heavy equipment operator who worked for 43 years with N.L. Schuttee Foundation Drilling of Dallas. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a motor machinist mate first class on a submarine chaser in the South Pacific. Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Margaret Baker; daughter Mary Jo Thompson; sister Inez Kelly of Denton; brother Elvin Baker of Corinth; three grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Dec. 22 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St. Denton. Family visitation scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Dec. 21 at the funeral home.

Betty Jo Campbell
Betty Jo Campbell of Grand Prairie died Dec. 16 at her home. She was 67. Born Feb. 18, 1930, Mrs. Campbell was a dietician. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Campbell is survived by a daughter from Irving. Services were held Dec. 20 at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, the Rev. Manual Lupo officiating. Interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. Arrangements by Washington Memorial Funeral Home, Grand Prairie.

Jewell Jeanelle Johnson Clark
Jewell Jeanelle Johnson Clark of Bee Caves died of emphysema in Dripping Springs Dec.16. She was 70. Born in the Hill Country west of Austin, Mrs. Clark was a former resident of Irving. She was a homemaker, a 40-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a dual member of Love Field Chapter No. 875 and Dripping Springs Chapter No. 860. Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dale Clark. The couple would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law Wayland Dale and Kathleen Clark; daughter Candise Kay Clark; sisters Vera Collins of San Antonio, Willie "Sissie" Roach of Austin; a granddaughter; step grandson; several nieces and nephews; and brothers and sisters of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents, Bess and James Zack Johnson of Bee Cave. Services were held Dec. 19 at Harrell Funeral Chapel in Austin, the Revs. Don Long and John McCollough officiating. Interment at Fitzhugh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eastern Star Home in Arlington or the Dripping Springs E.M.S. Arrangements by Harrell Funeral Home, Austin.

Rush Ernest Crain Jr.
Rush Ernest Crain Jr. of Irving died at his home of natural causes Dec. 16. He was 77. Born in Sikes, La. Jan. 18, 1920, Mr. Crain retired in 1975 after 38 years as a regional director the Small Business Administration in Dallas. He was a member of Colonial Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy with service in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Mr. Crain is survived by his wife, Elva Crain; daughter and son-in-law Sally and Steve Newton of Mount Pleasant; son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Linda Crain of Grapevine; sister LaVerne Hubert of Dallas; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held Dec. 19 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Ryan Williams and Steve Newton officiating. Interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials be made to Colonial Baptist Church, 2241 W. Rochelle Rd., Irving 75062 or Family Hospice of Dallas, 1140 Empire Central, Suite 235, Dallas, 75247.

Robert Martin Fielder
Robert Martin Fielder of Irving died Dec. 18 at Irving Hospital. He was 72. Born Sept. 15, 1925 in Vernon, Mr. Fielder had lived in Irving since 1971. A graduate of Baylor University, Mr. Fielder was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a veteran's representative for the Texas Employment Commission and a member of Park Cities Baptist Church. Mr. Fielder is survived by his wife, Lois Fielder; sons and daughters-in-law Bruce and Amy Fielder of Amarillo, John and Carla Fielder of Lake Dallas; son David Patrick Fielder of Irving; and two grandchildren. Mr. Fielder was preceded in death by his son, Grant Fielder. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Ellis Chapel in Park Cities Baptist Church, the Rev. Paul Royal officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Global Mission Ventures, c/o Dr. Gerald Fielder, Baylor University, Waco, 76763. Louie Reynolds Sr.
Louie "Gene" Reynolds Sr. of Irving died Dec. 19. He was 68. Born Oct. 17, 1929 in Decatur, Ga., Mr. Reynolds was an aircraft mechanic. He is survived by his friend, Barbara Cook of Granbury; daughters Annette Bonner of Irving, Lee Ann Durfee of Tempe, Ariz., Barbara O'Sullivan of Baytown; sons Louie Reynolds Jr. of Fort Worth, Robert Reynolds of Grapevine; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 22 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Mario Parga officiating. Interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

James Richard Shetter
James Richard "Jim" Shetter of Arlington died Dec. 18. He was 93. Born Aug. 12, 1904 in Mont Eagle, Tenn., Mr. Shetter retired from LTV after 22 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geneva Shetter; daughters Jimmie Bodkins of Arlington, Betty Shetter of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Richard Guinn of Webb; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Dec. 21 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington. Interment at Moore Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Association.

Margaret Louise Paris
Margaret Louise Paris of Irving died of natural causes in Hobart, Okla. Dec. 16. She was 86. Born in Nashville, Tenn. April 10, 1911, Mrs. Paris was a homemaker and a member of Pioneer Baptist Church in Irving. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Thomas A. "Jimmy" Medlin of Irving; sisters Alma Gannon of Tennessee, Louise Leemhuis of Alabama; brother Travis Barfield of North Carolina; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren. Services were held Dec. 20 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Bobby Joe Raper and Stephen Boyd officiating. Interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

June Weishner
June Weishner of Irving died Dec. 12. She was 60. Born in Dallas March 21, 1937, Mrs. Weishner is survived by her husband, George Weishner; daughters and sons-in-law Joyce and Danny Wells of Irving, Janie and Ronnie Lackey of Irving; step daughters and step sons-in-law Pat and Jim Kosa of Bowie, Kathy and Kerry DeWeese of Carrollton; sons and daughters-in-law James and Joannah Spencer of Irving, Richard and Cynthia Weishner of Katy; step sons and step daughters-in-law Larry Ray and Becky Weishner of Irving, George Wayne and Marcelle Weishner of Kemp; step son John Stanley of Irving; sister and brother-in-law Joan and Joseph Compagna of Wickes, Ark.; 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services were held Dec. 15 at Duckett Cemetery, Wickes, the Rev. David Baker officiating. Local arrangements by Brown's Memorial Funeral Home.

Virble Ray Cole
Virble Ray Cole of Irving died Dec. 11. He was 30. Born in Amarillo Dec. 12, 1966, Mr. Cole was disabled. He is survived by his parents, Gene and Bettie of Irving; sister Rachelle Cole of Irving; brother and sister-in-law Del and Diana Cole of Irving; and numerous other relatives. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Dec. 20 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

James Bennett Crofford
James Bennett Crofford of Farmers Branch died Dec. 15. He was 82. Born Nov. 9, 1914 in Dallas, Mr. Crofford was a welder and a member of Irving Masonic Lodge No. 1218. He is survived by his sisters, Carrie Pearl Marshall and Clara mae Shemo, both of Irving, Ruth York of Duncanville, Frances Marie Haley of Hawkins; brother Robert Crofford of Irving; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Johnie Owens of Ruston, La.; daughter and son-in-law Elaine and Don Shults of Marble Falls; three grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services were held Dec. 17 at Axe Memorial Church in Garland, the Rev. Corky McGee officiating. Interment at Capital Memorial Cemetery, Austin. John Campbell Cummings
John Campbell Cummings died at Irving Hospital Dec. 14. He was 64. Born July 11, 1933 in Monroe, La., Mr. Cummings had lived in Irving for 25 years. He was the owner of A-Line Message Center. Mr. Cummings is survived by his brother, William G. "Bill" Cummings of Rome, Ga.; a cousin; an uncle and an aunt. Services were held Dec. 15 at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Interment at Rosehill Memorial Park, Monroe.

Winnifred Ezell Goss
Winnifred Ezell Goss died at Irving Care Center Dec. 15. She was 88. Born in Kountz July 30, 1909, Mrs. Goss had lived in Irving for eight years and was a previous resident of Nacogdoches. She was a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Nacogdoches. Mrs. Goss is survived by her daughter-in-law Ruth Goss of Irving; and eight grandchildren, including Mark Goss of Irving. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Dan Goss; sons Charlie Goss, Artie Dan Goss, W.J. Goss; daughter Minnie Lee Holman; and one grandson. Services were held Dec. 16 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Interment at Shady Grove Cemetery, Nacogdoches. Arrangements by Chism-Smith Funeral Home.

Sarah Elizabeth Kimble
Sarah Elizabeth Kimble of Springtown died Dec. 13 in Azle. She was 70. Born Jan. 27, 1927 in Irving, Mrs. Kimble was a former engineer for the Irving Independent School District. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Kimble of Springtown; sons John Wayne Kimble of Irving, Mike and Mark Kimble, both of Weatherford; daughters Elizabeth Ann Robinson of Grand Prairie, Linda Ross of Weatherford, Sybil White of Azle; sisters Pearl Toombs of Little Rock, Ark.; brothers Earl "Buddy" Womack of Grand Prairie; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Kimble was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Ray Kimble. Graveside services were held Dec. 15 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Brown's Memorial Funeral Home.

Archie W. Thrasher
Archie W. Thrasher of Richland Hills died Dec. 15 of natural causes at Mesquite Community Hospital. He was 83. Born Jan. 30, 1914 in Birdville, Mr. Thrasher retired in 1976 after 15 years as the owner of Archie's Donut Shop in Richland Hills. He was a member of the Arc of Faith Church in that city. Mr. Thrasher is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Bob and Lou Thrasher of Irving, Bill and Sandy Thrasher of Richland Hills, Charles and Clota Thrasher of Mesquite, James and Charline Thrasher of Dallas; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services were held Dec. 17 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, the Rev. Clarence Huffman officiating. Interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials be made to the Special Olympics.

Rev. Edgar Raymond Anderson
The Rev. Edgar Raymond Anderson of Irving died Dec. 11. He was 82. Born Sept. 16, 1915, Rev. Anderson was ordained in 1944 and was affiliated with the Assemblies of God. He was was the pastor of First Assembly of God in Irving from 1981 to 1996, when his church merged with the First Assembly of God and A/G tabernacle in October 1996. Rev. Anderson founded and pastored two churches, First Assembly of God in Mineral Wells in 1942 and a church in Los Alamos, N.M. in 1948. From 1954 to 1957, he pastored the Seminary South Assembly of God in Fort Worth. He pastored Glen Gardens Assembly of God in Fort Worth from 1957-58 and the Bethesda Community Church, formerly Northside Assembly, from 1961-63. From 1949-50, then Brother Anderson served as an evangelist in Mexico City, Central America and the U.S. He also ministered as an evangelist in Mexico and the U.S. from 1959-61 and was a missionary in Cuba from 1950-53. The Rev. Anderson served as the Sectional Presbyter for the South Fort Worth Section of the Assemblies of God from 1954-60, the assistant superintendent of the North Texas District from 1959-63, the superintendent of the North Texas District from 1963-81, General Presbyter from 1957-81 and was the Honorary General Presbyter from 1981 until his death. The Rev. Anderson had ministered at crusades and in pastors' congresses throughout the world as vice chairman of the Mike Evans Evangelistic Association since 1973. The Rev. Anderson is survived by his sisters, Marjorie Bates of Garland, Eileen Smith of Fort Worth; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lecy Mable Anderson in 1991; and brothers James and Donald Anderson. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 16 at Calvary Temple, 3000 W. Airport Freeway, Irving. Interment at Emerald Hills Cemetery, Kennedale. Arrangements by Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home.
