Kathleen E. Ulrich
MIDDLETOWN - Kathleen E. Ulrich, 89, of Frey Village Retirement Center, formerly of Carlson Road, Hummelstown, died Oct. 9 at the home.
Born Jan. 28, 1917 in Gratz, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Ella Unger Rissinger.
She was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of W.W. II.
She was retired from the poultry business and formerly worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Grantville, the United Methodist Women.
She was the widow of Harry R. Ulrich. She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Warren Rissinger, James Rissinger, Teddy Kessler and Harry Kessler, Jr.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Services were held Oct. 12 at her church. Burial was at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

Raymond H. Schaffer
TOWER CITY - Raymond H. Schaffer, 78, died Oct. 11 at the Pottsville Hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1927 in Tower City, he was the son of the late John and Lucy Wesner Schaffer.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II and Korea.
He retired from the former AMP, Inc. in Tower City.
He was of the Protestant faith, a member of the Tower City American Legion and Pine Grove VFW.
He was preceded in death by a two brothers, John and David Schaffer and a sister, June Houtz.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Arlene E. Ossman Schaffer and a sister, Helen Kuntzleman of Tower City.
Services will be private. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Harry W. Feaster
WILLIAMSTOWN - Harry W. Feaster died Oct. 12 at the home of his daughter in Mechanicsburg.
Born May 17, 1938 in Williamstown, he was the son of the late Robert and Lavina Laing Feaster.
He was a graduate of Williamstown High School.
He was the owner and operator Harry's Grocery Store. He also worked for the previous owner.
He was a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church where he served on the church council, the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Enola and Williamstown American Legion No. 239, served as an officer, driver and fire police officer of Williamstown Liberty Hose Co. No. 1, past vice president of Williamstown Borough Council and served on the Williams-town Water Authority, the Williams Valley School Board, and advisory board of the Miners National Bank in Williamstown.
He also was the founder of "Santa's Helpers."
He was the widower of Carol McSurdy Feaster. He also was preceded in death by brothers Harold and George Feaster.
Surviving are his son, Jay Feaster of Valrico, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara Leer of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Rev. John Feaster of Duncannon; a sister, Betty Miller of Palmyra; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 16 at the Williamstown United Methodist Church. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Williamstown.

Boyd A. Lenker
MILLERSBURG - Boyd A. Lenker, 78, of 191 Zimmerman Road, died Oct. 12 at the home of his grandson.
Born June 25, 1928 in Lower Mahanoy Twp., he was the son of the late Marlin and Clara Schlegel Lenker.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II aboard the USS Caliente.
He was the retired owner of Boyd A. Lenker Excavating & Grading Co. and formerly owned and operated Camp-A-While in Hegins.
He was a member of David's Church in Killinger, VFW Post No. 5507, Legion Post No. 326, DAV, USS Caliente Association AO 53, NRA, Camp Keystone Hunting camp and a former member of Millersburg Rotary Club and the former Millersburg Jaycees Club.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest, two sisters, Ruby Reed and Mae Deppen and a granddaughter.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Betty C. Hoffman Lenker; a daughter, Linda Wiest of Loyalton; a son, Rick of Elizabethville; three sisters, Orpha Rothermel of Millersburg, Reba Troutman of Halifax and Judy Illig of Millersburg; three brothers, Eugene Lenker of Halifax; Donald Lenker of Millersburg and Steven Lenker of Harrisburg; and three grandsons;
Services were held Oct. 16 at David's Church in Killinger. Burial was at David's Church Cemetery in Killinger.

Earl Robert "Bob" Hoffman
WILLIAMSTOWN - Earl Robert "Bob" Hoffman, 87, of Greenfield Street, died Oct. 11 at Gino J. Merli Veteran Center in Scranton.
Born Sept. 18, 1919 in Williamstown, he was the son of the late Fred and Martha S. Williams Hoffman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
He was retired from the Reading/Conrail Railroad.
He was of the Lutheran faith, a life member of the Williamstown American Legion Post No. 239 and a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way Employees.
He was the widower of Eleanore "Babe" Hoffman.
Surviving are two nieces and caregivers, Kim Thompson and Martha Pluswick and a nephew, Leo Pluswick.
Services were held Oct. 17 at the chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home in Tower City. Burial was at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Jack L. Shepley
LYKENS - Jack L. Shepley, 70, of North Street, died Oct. 12 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Nov. 25, 1935 in Halifax, he was the son of the late Leroy and Ruth Lanker Shepley.
He was a graduate of Halifax High School.
He was a grocery manager at Weis Market in Millersburg and previously worked at Willits Shoe Factory in Halifax.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Chad Readinger.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Susan Seiler Shepley; a son, Jack L. Shepley of Mechanicsburg; four daughters, Tonja Shepley of Halifax, Denise Shoop of Newport, Shelly Hand of Tower City and Chris Neidlinger of Lykens; and 10 grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes in Tower City.

Lorraine J. Caron
MILLERSBURG - Lorraine J. Caron, 85, died Oct. 13 at The Manor at Susquehanna Village.
Born Nov. 2, 1920 in Fall River, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Eva Tessier Paradise.
She was a retired insurance clerk for the state of Massachusetts.
She was a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Carlisle, Gold Star Mothers, Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post No. 326 and Millersburg Art Association.
She was the widow of Aime J. Caron. She also was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Caron.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet A. Rowe of Millersburg, three brothers, Maurice and Edward, both of California and Roland of Fall River, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 in Fall River, Mass.

Earl R. Mundorf
HARRISBURG - Earl R. Mundorf, 89, of 2334 Boas Street, formerly of 950 N. River Road, Halifax, died Oct. 12 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
Born Jan. 6, 1917 in Enhaut, he was the son of the late Frank and Emma Schultz Mundorf.
He was a retired conductor at Steelton-Highspire railroad.
He was a member of Lykens Valley House of Prayer in Elizabethville.
He was the widower of Corrine K. Yocum Mundorf.
Surviving are three daughters, Beverly Kulisch of Harrisburg, Jane Howard of Middletown and Marsha Myers of Carlisle; two sons, Earl Barry Mundorf of East Waterford and Richard Mundorf of Halifax; a sister, Jane Miller of Camp Hill; a brother, James Mundorf of Duncannon; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. at Hoover Funeral Homes in Millersburg. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax.

Anna Mae Maletich
LISBON FALLS, Maine - Anna Mae Maletich, 54, died Oct. 11 at Mid Coast Hospital.
Born Aug. 7, 1952 in Lykens, she was the daughter of Helen Laudenslager and the late Harry Laudenslager.
She was a 1970 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School.
She was a former member of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
She was employed at SupShips in Bath, Maine.
She was a former treasurer for the Lisbon High School Athletic Booster Club.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Scott.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Maletich of Lisbon Falls, Maine; two daughters, Jennifer Boudreau of Gardiner, Maine and Brianne Highfill of Lisbon Falls, Maine; four brothers, Harry Laudenslager Jr., Terry Laudenslager, Tim Lauden-slager and Kim Laudenslager; a sister, Katherine Olinick; and a grandson.
Services were be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Wiconisco. Visita-tion will be held from 4:30 to 5 p.m.

George P. Campbell
JACKSON TWP. - George P. Campbell, 89, died Oct. 15 at the West Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Camp Hill.
Born July 29, 1917 in Perry County, he was the son of the late John C. and Margaret Julius Campbell.
He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Co.
He was the widower of Elnora Lesh Campbell.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth C. Snyder of Harrisburg and Shirley Jean Campbell of Harrisburg; a son, Ross D. Campbell of Shermans Dale; a sister, Eleanora Fisher of Harrisburg; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Newport Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

She was a 1985 graduate of Penn View Christian Academy in Penns Creek.
She was a member of the Richfield Evangelical Metho-dist Church where she was active in the children evangelism and was active at the Oakland Mills Evangelical Methodist Camp in Oakland Mills.
Surviving are her husband, William "Bill" S. Peters, Jr.; a daughter, Cheryl Peters at home; a son, William S. Peters III, at home; two brothers, Steven Mowery of Penns Creek and Timothy Mowery of Harrisburg; and a sister, Cindy Brown of Elizabethville RD.
Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. at Richfield Evangelical Methodist Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Evangelical Methodist Cemetery in Richfield.

Dorothy M. Mucher
WILLIAMSTOWN - Dorothy M. Mucher, 85, a resident of Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Williamstown, died Oct. 13 at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Pottsville.
Born Dec. 20, 1920 in Lykens, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Fay Pinkerton Solence.
She was of the protestant faith.
She was the widow of Robert Jr. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter and David Solence and three sisters, Margaret Paul, Betty Deiter and Faye Michaels.
Surviving are a son, Robert III of Williamstown.
Services were held Oct. 17 at the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery in Wiconisco.

Herbert L. Messner
WICONISCO - Herbert L. Messner, 84, of The Manor at Susquehanna Village in Millersburg, formerly of Wiconisco, died Oct. 13 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born Aug. 18, 1922 in Wiconisco, he was the son of the late Hiram and Bertha Rusbatch Messner.
He was a 1942 graduate of the former Lykens High School.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran of WW II.
He was a retired machinist from Alfa Laval Thermal Inc. in Lykens.
He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Lykens, Local Union No. 123 and a former member of the Wiconisco Fire Co. and Lykens American Legion Post No. 124.
He was the widower of Teresa R. Begani Messner. He also was preceded in death by a son, John M. Messner, a sister, Mae Schreffler and three brothers, Clarence, Harold and Clyde Messner.
Surviving are two sons, Herbert J. Messner of Muir and Father Michael E. Messner of Abbottstown; two brothers, Donald Messner of Harleysville and Edward Messner of Wiconisco; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. at his church. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 and a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home.

Valeria M. Kammer
WILLIAMSTOWN - Valeria M. Kammer, 95, of 142 East Market Street, died Oct. 13 at her home.
Born July 13, 1911 in Muir, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Clara Mease.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Williamstown.
She was the widow of Fred M. Kammer.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan G. Rhode of Pine Grove; two sons, Fred and Kenneth, both of Elkton, Md.; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. at Dimon Funeral Homes in Williamstown. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting.
