Ruby Marie Bryan, age 84, of Warsaw, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2005, at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home, in Lincoln. She was born on May 29, 1920, in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of James & Velma Rodgers Currier.
Ruby attended school in the Sedalia area, graduating from Knob Noster High School Class of 1939. She later attended beautician school in Knob Noster.
On September 23, 1939, she was united in marriage to Marshall Bryan in Sedalia. Following their marriage, they made their home in Sedalia where she was employed at Levi-Strauss for many years and later owned and operated B&B Recreation in Sedalia. In 1968, they moved to Warsaw where they owned and operated Mrs. B’s Donut Shop until retirement in 1996.
Ruby was an active member of the Sedalia Democrat Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Pauline Bryan.
She is survived by two sons, Marshall E. Bryan, of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Gary D. Bryan of Blue Springs, Missouri, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services for Ruby Bryan will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, with visitation to be held from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday. Burial will be held at the Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw, Memorial contributions can be made to the Lincoln Community Nursing Home, c/o the funeral home.

James LeRoy Evans

James LeRoy Evans age 77, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home, in Lincoln, Missouri. He was born on November 27, 1927 in Wyandotte County, Kansas the son of Bert and Hazel Hageman Evans.
He lived and grew up Wyandotte County, Kansas and graduated from Wyandotte High School.
He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served overseas. On September 12, 1964 he was united in marriage to Darlene Hyzer, in Kansas City, Kansas. They made their home in Raytown, Missouri, where he worked for the Rock Island Railroad, retiring in 1978, after 34 years of service. After retirement he moved to Warsaw, Missouri and worked 5 years for the MFA of Warsaw.
He was a member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge #653 A.F. & A.M. serving as Master Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Warsaw Shrine Club
He was preceded in death by his parents; one half-brother, Raymond and a half-sister, Verna Rose.
He is survived by his wife Darlene, of the home; two sons, Daniel Evans and his wife, Patty, of Omaha, Neb. and Michael Evans, of Warsaw. He is also survived by a step-son, Keith Pierson, and his wife Linda, of Peculiar, Missouri, a step-daughter Mindy Hunsberger of Mercerburg, PA., one sister, Helen White, of Kansas City, Kansas, one half-brother, Robert Evans, and his wife Loretta, of Nebraska, eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services for James L. Evans will be at the Spring Branch Cemetery, in Avery, Missouri, Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Russell Lucas, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Benton County Hospice.

Fannie Lenora Stephens age 78, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away February 6, 2005 at her home. She was born on December 26, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Burton & Sylvia Grogan.
On January 14, 1950 she was united in marriage to Thomas Stephens, in Kansas City, Missouri. They made their home in Kansas City, moving to the Warsaw area in 1974.
She was a member of the Unity Church.
She enjoyed, cooking, playing bingo and being outdoors, fishing. She also loved to help her neighbors out, when in need.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Harry Thomas Ayers II and William Ayers and one great-grandson, Dillon Thomas Parks.
She is survived by her husband Thomas, of the home; one daughter Virginia Lee Green of Chatsworth, GA., six grandchildren and seventeen great-children and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Reser Funeral Home in, Warsaw, MO. Interment will be in the Higginsville, Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.

Charles E. Duckworth

Charles E. Duckworth age 83, passed away, Thursday, April 7, 2005 in Daytona Beach Florida. He was born on January 14, 1922, in Hastain, Missouri, the son of J.W. and Nora Alice Bailey Duckworth.
He graduated from Warsaw High School, Class of 1939.
He was united in marriage to Leona E. Rice on May 5, 1946 at Edwards Methodist Church. He was a cattle rancher on a farm near Edwards and moved his ranch and family to Amoret in 1952. In the late 1960's he also ranched near Elk City, KS and in 1972 near Warrensburg, MO. In 1956 he received the Balanced Farming Award for Outstanding Achievement. He served in several capacities as a School Director, Sunday School Superintendent and a Bank of Amoret Board Member. He moved to Volusia County, FL in 1976, at his retirement. He attended Daytona Beach Community College for computer training. He enjoyed designing and building his own homes.
He is preceded in death by one daughter Gena Dianne Duckworth.
He is survived by his wife Leona, of 58 years, his children; David E. Duckworth, of Shawnee, Kansas, Karen E. Mager, of Monrovia, Maryland, Annette S. Clinger, of Wright City, MO. And C. Daniel Duckworth, of Garden City, MO; seven grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Charles E. Duckworth will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Bethel Campground Cemetery, in Edwards, Missouri.

H. Otto Lipp

H. Otto Lipp, age 77, of Edwards, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005, at his home. He was born on September 6, 1927, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Herman F. and Annie Louise Swade Lipp.
He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and on June 6, 1945 he enlisted into the United States Navy, serving at the end of World War II. He re-enlisted and served in Saipan during the Korean Conflict.
On June 2, 1972, he was united in marriage to Ella Hoover at Miami, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they made their home in Kansas City, Kansas where Otto was self-employed as a brick layer for 50 years, retiring in 1990. Following his retirement they moved to Paradise Acres near Edwards.
He was a member of the Bricklayers Local # 15 of Kansas City, Kansas for over 50 years, and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. His sport was bowling and for over 40 years had been in 3 bowling leagues. After his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and made many crafts which he gave to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Lipp on August 5, 2003 and Harvey Hoover in February of 1969, three sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Ella, of the home, one son, John Lipp of Kansas City, Kansas, two daughters, Pamela Coffman, of Springfield, Missouri and Tina Marie Hulsey, of Moore, Oklahoma, five step-sons, Ben Hoover, Douglas Hoover, John Hoover, all of Leavenworth, Kansas, Glen Hoover of Trenton, Missouri and Carl Hoover of Champaign, Illinois, two step-daughters, Shirley Colburn of the state of Florida and Sue Woodson of Leavenworth, Kansas, 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Eddie Lipp of Kansas City, Kansas and Robert Lipp of Edwardsville, Kansas, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for H. Otto Lipp will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw with Fr. Richard Colbert officiating. Burial will be in Cable Ridge Cemetery near Edwards, Missouri. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Elgie F. Maiden

Elgie F. Maiden, age 83, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005, at the Warsaw Health and Rehab Center in Warsaw. He was born on September 17, 1921, at Sturgeon, Missouri, the son of Alex W. and Rettie Mae Simms Maiden.
He grew up in Sturgeon and on August 29, 1942 was inducted into the United States Army serving overseas in Europe during World War II. In 1947 he re-enlisted in the army and served in the Korean Conflict. He received two bronze stars and three purple hearts and several good conduct medals and service awards. He retired from his military career on November 1, 1966.
Following his retirement he worked as a correctional officer for the Kansas State Prison in Leavenworth, Kansas, retiring in 1984.
He moved to Warsaw in 1992 and on September 11, 1993, he was united in marriage to Donna Hadock. Following their marriage, they continued to make their home in Warsaw.
He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Elgie enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening and playing cards. He had said that he enjoyed life more since retirement and he had the good fortune of having good health and high spirits.
He was a member of the River Church of Warsaw.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, of the home, two daughters, Pamela and her husband, Michael Zobkiw of Olathe, Kansas, and Angela Maiden, of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, a son, Rick, and his wife, Kay Maiden, of Westminister, Colorado, two step-sons, Michael and his wife, Amanda Hadock and Matthew, and his wife, Stephanie Hadock, both of Leavenworth, Kansas, one step-daughter, Michaela, and her husband, Jeff Seeger, also of Leavenworth, Kansas, 12 grandchildren, Derek, Doug, Kara, Eric, Tazz, Vanessa, Garrett, Hunter, Luke, Julian, Madison and Megan, and two great-grandchildren, Devin and Janaya, a sister, Connie Fausett of Sturgeon, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and fellow fishermen.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday, April 8, at River Church in Warsaw with Pastor Sam and Denise Hinkle officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M., at the Reser Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Benton County Home Health in care of the funeral home. Interment of the cremains will be at Fristoe Cemetery at a later date.

Mary E. Wray Petty

Mary E. Wray Petty, age 100, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 28, 2005, at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 18, 1905, in Clarksburg, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Sarah Ralston.
She graduated from Clarksburg High School and Central Business College in Sedalia. On July 19, 1936, she was united in marriage to Howard Wray. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1962. They made their home in Sedalia, Kansas City, Marshall, and moved to Warsaw in 1947. She had worked for Rosenthall Clothing in Sedalia, Warsaw Produce, but mostly for Reinhart Fajen Inc., retiring from Fajen’s in 1976. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw.
In June of 1979, she was married to Ivan Petty, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Patricia Shackelford, of
Ohio, one nephew, Norman Vaught, of Clinton, Missouri, and two nieces, Ruby Stroup and Violet Bliss, of Kansas City, Missouri. She is also survived by two step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mary E. Petty will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 31, 2005, at the Reser Funeral Home in Waraw with Rev. Barry Edwards, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw. Memorials in honor of Mary may be made to Benton County Hospice in care of the funeral home.

Genevieve Dukes

M. Genevieve Dukes, age 85, of Lincoln passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home in Lincoln. She was born on January 7, 1920, in Benton County, Missouri, the only child of the late Orville and Maude A. Gideon Dukes.
She lived her entire life in Benton County and raised livestock on her farm.
She was saved and attended Mt. Pleasant Church near Lincoln.
Since June of 2004, she had been a resident of the Lincoln Community Nursing Home.
Graveside Services and Interment for Genevieve Dukes will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Lincoln with Rev. Wayne Isgriggs officiating. No visitation. Arrangements by the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, Missouri.

Ronald S. Bradley Jr.

Ronald S. Bradley, Jr., age 42, of Gardner, Kansas, formerly of Warsaw, passed away March 21, 2005 at Olathe Medical Center. He was born on June 1, 1962, in Los Angeles, California the son of Ronald S. and Carla Ann Shaver Bradley, Sr.
He grew up in California and graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, California in 1980. He then joined the United States Army where he served his country and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1984. In 1989, he married Monica Sue Parsi in Las Vegas, Nevada. They later separated. Ron had been in the Olathe area for the past year and a half and was presently employed with Pyramid Communications in Lenexa.
Ron was an avid golf and poker player and enjoyed snow skiing and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by Monica Bradley of Warsaw, a son and a daughter, Charles and Falisha Perry of Warsaw and sons Andrew and Zachary Bradley also of Warsaw, his father Ronald S. Bradley, Sr. of Bedford, Iowa, one sister, Roxanne Reyes of Honolulu, Hawaii, his girlfriend Shawna Smith and her two children of Gardner, Kansas, other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Ron Bradley will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 24, 2005 at the Reser Funeral Home, in Warsaw. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral service. Burial will be in the Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ron Bradley Trust fund for his children, c/o United Missouri Bank of Warsaw.

Barbara Mae Brent

Barbara Mae Brent, age 91, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Sunday evening, March 20, 2005, at the Warsaw Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on August 21, 1913, near Quincy, Missouri, the eldest daughter or Frank and Bessie Tuck.
She grew up in Hickory County and was there united in marriage to James Benton Brent on May 1, 1935. They first made their home near Appleton City, Missouri and later moved to Adrian, Missouri. Upon the death of her husband, James, Barbara moved to Warsaw to be near her children. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and caring for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and husband of fifty-four years, James, two brothers, Dainley Tuck and Sam Tuck, one sister, Vivian Breshears, one daughter who died in infancy, and another daughter, Joane Dodd, and one grandson, Mark Dodd.
She is survived by two sons, James E. Brent and his wife Betty, John Brent, Sr. and his wife Nancy, one daughter Edna Hockett and her husband Larry, all of Warsaw, three sisters, Sylvia Cadwell, of Stillwell, Kansas, Geneva Delozier, of Buffalo, Missouri, Gloria Jump of Bolivar, Missouri, three brothers, Frankie Tuck of Savannah, Missouri, John Tuck , of Quincy, Missouri, and Leonard Tuck, of Wheatland, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Barbara M. Brent will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Quincy. Memorials can be made to Mt. Zion Cemetery in care of the funeral home.

Marion M. King

Marion M. King, age 78, of Warsaw, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2005, at the Warsaw Health and Rehab Center in Warsaw. He was born on August 27, 1926, in Fristoe, Missouri, the son of Elmer”Hap” and Nellie May Dickerson King.
He attended school at Mount View in Benton County.
He was an army veteran and was stationed at Ft. Bliss and Ft. Hood during his military years. He was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for many years.
Marion was united in marriage to Arleen Priest and they made their home near Fristoe, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold King and one sister, Doris Smith.
Surviving is his wife, Arleen, a resident of the Warsaw Health and Rehab Center of Warsaw, one son, Charles Eugene King of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a daughter, Christine Koontz of Vandalia, Missouri, 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving is a brother, Earl King of Fristoe, two sisters, Ida May Jarrett, of Fristoe and Mary Ellen Coons of Gladstone, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Marion M. King will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at the Reser Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Admire officiating. Burial will be in Fristoe Cemetery, Fristoe, Missouri. Family will receive friends an hour prior to the services on Wednesday. Arrangements under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Lydia A. White

Lydia A. White, was born December 27, 1943, in Sedalia, Mo., the daughter of Mahlon Neill and Kathleen Kelly White, and died Friday, March 18, 2005, at her home in Warsaw.
She graduated from Clinton High School in 1961 and the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1967. Her college degrees included Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science in Education.
In 1967 she moved to Muncie, Indiana, and worked at Ball State University, and in 1970, to Corvallis, Oregon, where she worked at Oregon State University. In 1974, Lydia moved to Warsaw and became an antique dealer.
She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, Warsaw Area Chamber of Commerce, Mid-Missouri Antique Dealers Association, American Contract Bridge League, and the Thomas Hart Benton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her sisters, Kathleen White Miles, Clinton, and Jane White Brown, Kansas City; nephews, Daniel B. Miles II and his spouse, Katherine M. Miles, Mahlon White Miles and Frank Weir Miles, III, Clinton, James Mahlon White, Warsaw; John K. White, Farmington; nieces, Ellen Miles-Taylor, Lawrence, Kansas; Jane Miles-Smith, Kansas City; Julie White Lorenz, Lenexa, Kansas and Amy White Tremain, Smithville.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Mahlon K. “Jab” White on December 6, 2004.
She loved her family and friends, her dogs, good literature, and the town of Warsaw.
Graveside services, under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Riverside Cemetery, Warsaw with Fr. Richard Colbert and Rev. Richard Anthony, presiding. No visitation.

Dennis Stockton

Dennis H. Stockton, age 71, of Warsaw, passed away Friday, March 18, 2005, at his home. He was born on November 2, 1933, at Blackwell, Oklahoma, the son of Homer and Lillian Dorothy Hanzs Stockton.
He grew up in Oklahoma and was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad as a signal maintainer. He worked on the railroad in Oklahoma and in Kansas retiring in October of 1995 after 45 years of service.
On October 2, 1984, he was married to Peggy Brownfield in Lawrence, Kansas. They made their home in Lawrence until November of 1997 when they moved near Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one grandson.
Surviving is his wife, Peggy, of the home, one son, one step-daughter, two step-sons, and three granddaughters.
Friends may call between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. Private Committal Services and Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery. Arrangements by the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Lula Ann Peters

Lula Ann Peters, age 66, passed away Thursday morning, March 17, 2005, at her home near Warsaw, Missouri. She was born in Warsaw on April 14, 1938, the daughter of Hogan L. and Lula G. Davis Forth.
She grew up in southern Benton County and attended school at North Dell School and Benton County R-6 Elementary Schools. She lived all of her life in the Dell community and has made her home near Warsaw for the past thirty years.
As a young girl she had attended worship services at the Evening Shade Mennonite Church near her home.
She loved both kinds of good music – Country & Western – and enjoyed her collection of music cassettes. When she went to see family and friends and most other places she always had a camera with her and has a substantial assortment of photographs to prove it. Any opportunity to visit with her sisters and their families was a joyous occasion and times she looked forward to and planned for.
Ann is survived by three sisters, Virgie Oliver, of Clinton, Mississippi, Rosemary Jones and Elsie Doubenmeir, both of Independence, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday, March 21st, 2005, at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will be in the Hastain Cemetery near Hastain, Missouri. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Kathy Sullivan

Kathy Sullivan age 47, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at the Warsaw Health & Rehabilitation Center, in Warsaw, Missouri. She was on February 27, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of George & Jo Emmons Sullivan.
She grew up in Fremont California, and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School as Valedictorian of the class 1976. She then attended Cal. State Hayward College and received her AA degree. She worked several years at Mission Tool in Hayward, California. In 1992 she moved to Warsaw, Missouri to be closer to her family.
She enjoyed reading, sewing and photography and caring for her cats.
She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, of Warsaw.
She is survived by her parents, George and Jo Sullivan; one brother, Chris Sullivan, of Newark, California, two sisters, Regina Cadle, and her husband, John of Brownington, Missouri and Lori Sullivan of Windsor, Missouri. Also surviving are two nephews, Les Rogers, of Alston, Mass. And Myles Cadle, of Brownington, Missouri, one niece Jessica Cadle also of Brownington, Missouri and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral Mass for Kathy Sullivan will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 19, 2005 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, in Warsaw, with Fr. Richard Colbert, officiating. Visitation will be held 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday evening with Rosary starting at 7:30 P.M. at the Reser Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Ed Wright, Ralph Emmons, Mike Shortino, Al Malloy, Ed Kirby and Al Julius. Memorials may be made to the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in c/o of Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.

William Jennings “Doug” Paul, Jr., age 76, of Edwards, Missouri, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on September 23, 1928, near Smithton, Missouri, the son of William J. And Maud Mather Paul, Sr.
On October 15, 1956, he was married to Helen Louise McDavitt who preceded him in death on August 23, 2001.
Mr. Paul attended Green Ridge High School and was an army veteran and a mason. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad and the UMKC Heat Plant from which he retired after 23 years of service.
A great sense of humor and a sharp memory where his trademarks.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a sister, Geraldine Holeman of Sedalia, numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services for William J. “Doug” Paul, Jr., will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Reser Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Lucas officiating. Burial will be in the Cable Ridge Cemetery near Edwards. No visitation. Friends may call after 9:00 P.M., Tuesday.

Corky Bunch, 76, of Warsaw died Tuesday morning at her home. She was born March 26, 1929, in Brownington, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Maude Hearn Davidson.
She graduated from Lowry City High School in 1947. On June 5, 1947, she married Gene Bunch in Clinton, Missouri. They farmed east of Lowry City for a few years. In 1954, they purchased the Swinging Bridge Resort in Warsaw. They moved to Warsaw in 1960 and continued operations of the resort. They closed the resort in 1983 and Corky opened Swinging Bridge Antiques.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw, a member of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce, the Warsaw Advisory Council for the Warsaw Health Care Center, a member of the Osage Valley Chapter #502, Order of the Eastern Star of Warsaw, and a member of the Monday Night Bridge Club for over 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Curt, L.D., Joe, Elvis and Frankie Davidson, two sisters, Lillie Howland and Wilma Norton, a nephew, Kenneth Howland and a great-granddaughter, Matison Bunch.
Surviving is her husband, Gene, of the home, one son, William Bunch, and wife, Debbie, of Warsaw, a daughter, Lisa Andrews, and husband, Donald, of Lee=s Summit, five grandchildren, Matthew, Joe and Melissa Bunch, Alex and Ashley Andrews, a great-grandson, Will Bunch, a sister, Betty Cain of Clinton, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services for Corky Bunch will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 1, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the church prior to the services. Friends may call after 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. Family suggest memorials to the Benton County Hospice in care of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.

E. H. Kiser, age 68, of Edwards , passed away Monday, August 29, 2005, near Warsaw. He was born on January 14, 1937, in Benton County, Missouri, the son of Edward H. and Lillian Arnold Kiser.
He grew up in the Edwards area and was married to Joyce Severson on October 24, 1955. They made their home mostly in the Edwards community and unto this union, four children were born, Teryl, Betty, David and Dee Ann.
E.H. was engaged in farming and also operated Kiser Excavating for 16 years. He enjoyed reading and doing puzzles, fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.
On December 23, 1999, in Sedalia, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Roberta Still. Following their marriage, they made their home in Edwards.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marjorie FayKiser.
Surviving is his wife, Roberta, of the home, one son, David Kiser, and his wife, Shannon, of Edwards, three daughters, Teryl Williams , and her husband, Keith, of Blue Springs, Missouri, Betty Gant, and her husband, Clayton, of Cross Timbers, and Dee Ann Richardson of Warsaw, two step-children, Annette Hargis, and her husband, Joe, of Hallsville, Missouri and Lisa Dority of Ashland, Missouri, 5 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, one brother, George Kiser of Warsaw and two sisters, Edna Marie Dority and Margaret Eaton, both of Warsaw, two aunts, Thelma Balke, of Higginsville, and Ella Dority, of Wooldridge, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for E.H. Kiser will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, September 1, 2005, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Francis Cline officiating. Burial will be in Cable Ridge Cemetery near Edwards. Pallbearers will be Gary Ray, Ronnie Dority, Joe Hargis, Steve Noland, Eddie Dority and Todd Downing. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 P.M., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Family suggest memorials may be made to the Benton County Hospice in care of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Archie Eugene Fruits, age 77, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2005, at his home near Edwards, Missouri. He was born on November 26, 1927, the son of Ira Benton and Ruby Vernadine Reeder Fruits.
He was united in marriage to Ellen Yvonne Houck on August 28, 1945, at Cold Water, Kansas. He was then inducted into the United States Army serving in the occupation forces in Germany as a veteran of World War II.
Following his discharge he returned to his wife in Kansas to make their home in various locations there. He began working as a cowboy, working cattle and livestock from the back of a horse while living near Cold Water, Kansas. He later worked as an auto mechanic restoring antique automobiles. For the next fifteen years or so he was an owner/operator of his own truck hauling freight over-the-road from coast to coast, and then returned to their farm home near Willow Springs, Kansas. They moved to their retirement home near Edwards, Missouri, about four years ago.
Archie was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Ellen, of the home, two daughters, Charlotte Ann McCart and her husband, Victor, of Garden City, Kansas, and Nancy Ellen Clardy, and her husband, Charles S. of Edwards, Missouri, two sons, Marvin Eugene Fruits, and his wife, Viola, of Sibley, Missouri, and Archie Dow Fruits, also of Edwards, thirteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, Charles Fruits, of Big Sandy, Tennessee, and a sister, Idamae Schanuel, of Bellville, Illinois, other relatives and many friends.
Archie’s family honors his final wish to be cremated without funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to Twin Lakes Hospice.
