Elda Monique Taylor and Stuart Lee Gordon, both of Aiken, were married April 9, 2005, in Hopelands Gardens. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Jimmy L. Cue officiated.
The bride is a daughter of David Taylor Jr. and Elouise Wade Taylor of Aiken. She is a granddaughter of Louise Wade and the late Stanley Wade Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. David Taylor Sr.
The bridegroom is a son of the Rev. Arthur L. Gordon and Delorise Lloyd Gordon of Aiken. He is a grandson of Freddie Lloyd and Viola Lloyd and the late Julius Gordon and the late Beulah Gordon.
Lashawn Nicholson of Aiken was the maid of honor. Monica G. Mance of Aiken was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Adraine Jones of Aiken, sister of the bride; Stephanie Wade of Aiken, sister of the bride; Diannia Taylor of Aiken, sister of the bride; Shauna Barefield of Aiken, sister of the bride; Mardell Bates of Greenville, cousin of the groom; and Lisa Taylor of Aiken, junior bride of sister.
Leon Gordon of Pensacola, Fla., was the best man.
Groomsmen were Joseph Lloyd of Aiken; O'Neal Nicholson of Aiken; Marcus Lloyd of Aiken; Johnthan Gordon of Atlanta; Micheal Jones of Williston; and Terrance Dotts of Aiken.

Following a reception in Aiken Municipal Building the couple left for a wedding trip to the Bahamas.
They will reside in Myrtle Beach.
The bride is a graduate of Silver Bluff High School. She is employed by Lowes of Myrtle Beach.
The bridegroom is a graduate of South Aiken High School. He is serving in the U.S. Army.
