Charlie Casteel
ENGLEWOOD -- Charlie Casteel died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in an area hospital. He was 93.
Mr. Casteel was a member of Liberty Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sisters, Billie Gay, Etowah, Tenn., Bertie Wilson and Sue Rucker, both of Englewood; one brother, Richard Casteel, Englewood; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be today at 8 p.m. at Bordwine Funeral Home with minister Cliff Fox and minister Mike Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Anna Collins
NEW HOPE -- Anna B. Collins died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in an area hospital. She was 65.
Mrs. Collins was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Collins; five daughters, Jewell Mae Collins, Rockwood, Tenn., Pamela Ann Loden, Ozone, Tenn., Donna Bea Fenn, Athens, Tenn., Roma Diane Fox, Bryant, Ala., and Angela Winese Wooten, Kimball, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. CST at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ella Conatser
McMINNVILLE -- Ella Mae Conatser died Monday, May 1, 2000, in an area hospital. She was 67.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Love-Cantrell & Cope Spencer Chapel with Freddie Savage officiating.
Burial will be in Shockley Cemetery in Van Buren County.
Visitation will be today from 8 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Mayford Daniels
DAYTON -- Mayford Richard "Pinchey" Daniels died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at his home. He was 80.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Vanderwall Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Ewing officiating.
Burial will be in Spivey Cemetery.

J.D. Gordon
CLEVELAND -- J.D. Gordon died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 81.
Arrangements will be announced by Fike Funeral Home.

Raymond Hall
ATHENS -- Raymond Willard Hall died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in a Knoxville hospital. He was 63.
Mr. Hall was an agent with Liberty Life Insurance Co., a deacon at North Athens Baptist Church, past master and a member of Meridian Sun Lodge 50 and
chairman of District 17 Masonic Lodges.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Willard Hall Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Rostine Buttram Hall; mother, Pauline Parker Hall, Athens; two sons, Greg Hall, Athens, and Randy Hall, Riceville, Tenn.; one daughter, Janice Gentry, Athens; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Kerr officiating.
Burial will be in McMinn Memory Gardens.

E.J. Humberd
CLEVELAND -- E.J. Humberd died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in a Chattanooga hospital. He was 75.
Mr. Humberd was a charter member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed at Service Solutions and had owned several service stations in Cleveland.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hill Humberd; one sister, Leola Evans; two brothers, Johnnie and Paul Humberd, all of Cleveland; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Scoggins and the Rev. Quinn Green officiating.
Burial will be in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church building fund or Hospice of Chattanooga.

Johnnie Miller
ATHENS -- Johnnie McCloud Miller died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in an area health care facility. She was 88.
She was a member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church and the Athenian Chapter 159 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry P. Miller.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Shultz, Athens; one son, Jim Miller, Niota, Tenn.; one sister, Willie Reynolds, Athens; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be today at 2:30 p.m. in McMinn Memory Gardens with Dr. Stella Roberts officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at Jerry Smith Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Keith Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1, Athens, TN 37371-0001.

Richard Pearson
KNOXVILLE -- Richard Lee Pearson, formerly of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in a Knoxville hospital. He was 50.
Arrangements will be announced by Crombie-Pinkard Funeral Home.

Clifford Printz
CLEVELAND -- Clifford Printz died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at his home. He was 82.
Mr. Printz was a tool and die maker and a member of Wood Dale (Ill.) Community Church, where he served as church usher for 20 years and was on the church board.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Printz, Cleveland; two daughters, Ruthann Tiffany and Karen Crawford, both of Cleveland; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Boucher and pastor Randy Tiffany officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joyce Raines
JASPER -- Joyce Evelyn Raines died Monday, May 1, 2000, in an area nursing home. She was 72.
A graveside service will be today at 11:30 a.m. CDT in Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Webb officiating.
Arrangements are by Rogers Funeral Home, Jasper.

Margie Ward
ATHENS -- Margie Mae Ward died Sunday, April 2, 2000.
Mrs. Ward, a native of Fort Mountain, Tenn., had lived in Detroit before retiring and moving to Niota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. Ward; and a daughter, Lucille Miller.
Survivors include three sons, John Ward, Chino, Calif., Oscar Ward, Waterford, Mich., and S.J. Ward, Afton, Mich.; one daughter, Turrah Kyster, Onaway, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Pond Hill Cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Ziegler Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Alton Collette Sr.
CLEVELAND -- Alton Ralph Collette Sr. died Thursday, May 4, 2000. He was 60.
Mr. Collette was an employee of Brick and Block Mason with 42 years of service. He was a little league baseball coach and a Baptist. Mr. Collette was preceded in death by his father, Alton Cecil Collette, and brother, William Andrew Collette.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Maynard Collette; daughter, Kristie Collette, Cleveland; four sons, Alton, Barry, and John Collette, all of Cleveland, and Cecil Collette, Chattanooga; mother, Margaret Poteet, Cohutta, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday at 3 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Sam Melton and the Rev. Tommy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home.

Dixie Derrick
ENGLEWOOD -- Dixie Jane Conner Derrick died Friday, May 5, 2000, in an area hospital. She was 90.
The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Jerry Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Linda Wright and the Rev. Roy Chism officiating. Burial will be in McMinn Memory Gardens, Athens, Tenn.
