ANITA DIEFENBACH BALOG, 83, of Clifton died Saturday. Before retiring in 1972, she was office manager for Hartmann Embroidery Works, Garfield, where she worked for 35 years. She was a member of the Clifton congregation of New Apostolic Church. Arrangements: Allwood Funeral Home, Clifton.

GEORGE BAUER, 72, of Paramus died Sunday. He had been a milk deliveryman for Tuscan Dairy, Lindenhurst, N.Y. He was a Navy veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6699, Paramus. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.

ANGELO J. "ROCKY" CALENDA, 70, of Dumont died Sunday. Before retiring, he was a lithographer and printer and a member of Amalgamated Lithographers Union Local 1, New York City. More recently, he was a school crossing guard in Haworth. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

LILLIAN CHAPMAN, 90, of Teaneck, formerly of Paterson, died Friday. She was a member of Temple Emanuel, Paterson, and its Sisterhood, the National Council of Jewish Women, and Hadassah. Arrangements: Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel, Paramus.

EVA RAWL CHAPPELL, 82, of Clifton died Friday. She had been a domestic worker. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, Paterson, and its Senior Choir, Busy-Bees, and Pastor's Aid Club. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

DORIS F. GISNER CRANDELL, 78, of River Edge died Saturday. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, River Edge, and the Senior Citizens of River Edge. Arrangements: Beaugard Funeral Home, River Edge.

MARY M. MAHONEY DAY, 72, of Hazlet, formerly of Maywood, died Saturday. She had been a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service in Hackensack. She was a parishioner of Holy Family R.C. Church, Union Beach. Arrangements: Bedle Funeral Home, Keyport.

JOSEPH EVERETTE, 61, of Paterson died Friday. He had worked for ARC Express, Hawthorne, for 16 years. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

AZZURINA CERVETTO FIORINA, 81, of Haledon died Saturday. Before retiring in 1991, she was a secretary and co-owner of DK&F Excavating, Haledon. She was a member of the Haledon Independent Republican Organization and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 224, Little Falls. Arrangements: DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home, Haledon.

DONALD G. HIGGINS, 80, of Saddle Brook died Saturday. Before retiring, he was a pump installer for Artesian Well and Equipment, Rochelle Park. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Tin Can Sailors DD-601 USS Champlin, the Topeda Men's Association, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3484, Saddle Brook. He also was a member of the Saddle Brook Republican Club. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.

JOANN B. TARANTINO IARIA, 70, of Bella Province of Potenza, Italy, formerly of Fort Lee, died Friday. Before retiring, she was a self-employed theatrical hairdresser. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas R.C. Church, Palisades Park. Arrangements: A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

KEITH JACOBS, 44, of Paterson died Tuesday. He had worked for Polit Metal, Wayne. He had served in the National Guard. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

DOROTHY JAWORSKI, 56, of Clifton died Saturday. Arrangements: Allwood Funeral Home, Clifton.

JOHN T. KELSO, 82, of Ridgewood died Sunday. He had been a buyer for Arwood Corp. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, Ridgewood. Arrangements: Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.

TINA TRIGER KRAUS, 78, of Teaneck died Sunday. She was a member of Hadassah, the Women's American Organization for Rehabilitation through Training, and the Brandeis Book Club. She was a life master in bridge. Arrangements: Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel, Paramus.

NICHOLAS L. LIGUORI, 85, of Paterson died Saturday. Before retiring in 1978, he was a textile engraver for ABC Engraving, Paterson, where he worked for 45 years. He was a drummer and a member of American Federation of Musicians Local 248, Paterson. Arrangements: DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home, Haledon.

MARY K. WHITE McCONVILLE, 85, of Dumont and Bergenfield, died Saturday. She was born in Canada. Before retiring, she was a waitress for Town Hall Restaurant, Bergenfield. She was a member of the Bergen Irish Club, the Bergen Irish Social Club, and the Legion of Mary at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Oradell. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

MARIA CARCICH NICOLICH, 100, of Fairview died Saturday. She was born in Austria. Arrangements: A. K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

ANNA M. FODERA PARISI, 75, of Jersey City died Saturday. Arrangements: Leber Funeral Home, Union City.

RAYMOND P. PERRUZZA SR., 80, of West New York, formerly of Paramus, died Saturday. Before retiring, he was an electrician for Blickman Shipping, Union City. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.

DOWEDA COVINGTON PROVOST, 85, of Hillsdale died Sunday. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paramus, the 50-Plus Club, Hillsdale, and the auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Paramus. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.

GEORGE E. ROSEMAN, 79, of Roxbury Township, formerly of Rutherford, died Saturday. Before retiring, he was a mechanic for the Rutherford Department of Public Works. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 227, Rutherford. He was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Rutherford. He was a member of Rescue Company 5 of the Rutherford Volunteer Fire Department and the New Jersey Exempt Firemen's Association. Arrangements: Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, Rutherford.

JOSEPH R. SINGER SR., 83, of Midland Park died Saturday. Before retiring in 1988, he was a bus driver for NJ Transit in Paterson, where he worked for 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of R.C. Church of the Nativity, Midland Park, where he was an usher. He was a member of Pope John XXIII Council of the Knights of Columbus, the Midland Park Seniors, and the Bergen County Seniors. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Funeral Home, Wyckoff.

GEORGE M. SPANGLER JR., 74, of Old Tappan, formerly of Union City, died Saturday. Before retiring in 1987, he was a test systems engineer for AlliedSignal Inc. Teterboro. He was Navy veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

CHRISTINE ZOLENSKI, 70, of Paterson died Sept. 30. Before retiring, she was a teacher for Our Lady Queen of Peace School, Woodbridge. She also had worked for Crown Roll Leaf Co., Paterson. She was a former Franciscan Sister of Allegany and was a volunteer at the Bergen County Animal Shelter. She was a parishioner of St. Brendan R.C. Church, Clifton. Arrangements: Della Torre Funeral Home, Paterson.
