IZOLA MAE LYTTON
CHRISTIANSBURG - Izola Mae Sowers Lytton, 78 of Christiansburg, death by her parents,Isaac and Ora Altizer Sowers, and her husband, John T. Lytton. Survivors include six children, John T. Lytton, Jr. of Radford, Janice Radford of Christiansburg, Ed Lytton of Dublin, Patricia Branch of Christiansburg, Kathy Counts of Radford, and Karen Price of Christiansburg; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Jack Sowers of Radford, Eugene Sowers of Christiansburg, and Bill Sowers of Vinton; and three sisters, Cleo Harris of Floyd, Connie Sale of Radford, and Bonnie Rickey of Destin, FL. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Auburn Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Smith officiating. Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

MARY C. JOHNSON
RADFORD - Mary C. Johnson of Radford, born Mar. 29, 1913 to the late Harvey and Bessie Hampton Butler. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church for 27 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Carmen J. Eaves, Radford; three granddaughters; one grandson; three sisters, Ruby Crockett, Wytheville, Mary Josie Butler, Pulaski, Sadie Muse, Roanoke; four great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003 at the Pulaski Community Hospital. death by his grandparents; H. J. Hurst Sr. and Cora Lee Hurst, and Enoch and Daisy Spalding. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving are: his parents, Harless and Mary Hurst, Hiwassee; brothers and sister-in-law, William P. and Robin Hurst, Shiloh, Jeffrey A. Hurst, Hiwassee; nieces, Kim Hurst and Shannon Cooke; special friend and children, Karen Smythers, Morgan and Nathan Smythers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 2 p.m. at the New River Primitive Baptist Church, Snowville with the Elder Ronald Bowman and Pastor Michael Coleman officiating. Cemetery where VFW Post #1184 will conduct full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.

PAUL WILSON ODELL, JR.
PULASKI - Paul Wilson Odell, Jr., 72, of Pulaski, born in Bluefield, W. Va on June 26, 1931. Mr. Odell was a graduate of Graham High School, New River Community College and Radford College. Master Trooper Odell was a 39 year veteran of the Virginia State Police. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Odell was preceded in Interment will follow in Maple Hill passed away Wed. Sept. 24, 2003 at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was a member of Morgans Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Cecil A. Goad of Radford; four daughters, Bernice Brown of Radford, Linda Midgett of Richmond, Suzanne Patton of Radford and Donna Hardy of Kingsport, Tenn.; one brother, Alton Alderman of Morganton, NC.; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sat. Sept. 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, with the Rev. Danny Collins officiating. passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the New River Valley Medical Center. He was a retired employee of RAAP with over 40 years of service. He attended the Radford Christian Church. He was preceded in Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

PULASKI - Paul Wilson Odell, Jr., 72, of Pulaski, born in Bluefield, W. Va on June 26, 1931. Mr. Odell was a graduate of Graham High School, New River Community College and Radford College. He was preceded in Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Garden Mausoleum in Dublin.

MICHAEL DAVID HURST
HIWASSEE - Michael David Hurst, age 41 of 2757 Old Hurst Road, Hiwassee died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 at her home. She was death by her husbands, William P. Taylor and Kenneth Williams, by a granddaughter, by two brothers, James M. Duncan of Pulaski and Marvin W. Duncan of Pulaski, and by a son-in-law.
Surviving are: her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert L. and Shirley Taylor, Pulaski, William and Sandra Taylor, Pa.; daughters and son-in-law, Sylvia Cichocki, Baltimore, Md., Linda and Armando Asperin, Virginia Beach; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Lucile Quesenberry, Kingspport, Tenn., Ruby Thompson, Baltimore, Md., Rosie Taylor, Dublin, Annabell Simpkins, Pulaski, Lelian Gravley, Pulaski; brothers, Robert L. Duncan, Pulaski, Franklin “Snooty” Duncan, Pulaski.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Steven Thomas and Rev. Randall Cregger officiating. Visiting was Tuesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Burial will be at a later date from the Meadow Ridge died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003 in the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, Radford. She was death by her husband, Jesse G. King and by two sisters, Mildred Vires Carroll Moxley and Ellamae Vires Hedge. Mrs. King was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Delton.
Surviving are: her daughter, Virginia Louise King Ezzell, Draper; sons, William Greer King, Draper, James Thomas King, Draper, Travis Dale King, Manassas; sisters, Elsie June Vires Boothe, Snowville, Carrie Vires Hurt, Pulaski, Lima B. Vires, Kalamazoo, Mich.; grandchildren, Robert David Ezzell, Virginia Ann Ezzell, Brenda Ann King Castro, James Jonathan King, Tracy Lynn King, Kelly McMahon King, Amanda Rae King, Brittany Sue King; great-grandchildren, Tracey Lee King, Santana Lynn Castro, Carlos Alberta Castro, Mark Alen Shamron Castro, Destiny Shyann Castro, and twins: Brendin and Breann; very special friend, Marlene Eller; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Diane Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Wednesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

FRANKLIN DUANE “F.D.” JONES, JR.
PULASKI - Franklin Duane “F.D.” Jones, Jr., age 42 of Pulaski, Born May 20, 1961 in Pulaski, he is the son of Dorothy Harrell Jones and Franklin Duane Jones, Sr. He was employed by Branch and Associates in Roanoke, Va. He is survived by his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Franklin D. Jones, Sr. of Pulaski: a brother, Charles “Ricky” Jones of Pulaski: a sister, Debbie J. Thomas of Pulaski. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Judy Yonce officiating. Cemetery, Mt. Olivet. Visiting will be anytime Wednesday after 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, but for those who wish to make memorial contributions, they may do so to the Mt. ENOCH CECIL
PULASKI - Enoch Cecil, age 84 of 4562 Pond Lick Hollow Road, Pulaski Born Mar. 2, 1919 in Ashland, W. Va., he was the son of the late Charles William Cecil and Cora Etta Harmon Cecil. His wife, Elsie Mae Farmer Cecil, two sisters, Loretta Carden and Letha Walsh and one brother, Willie Cecil, preceded him in Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at Oakvale passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 in the Roanoke Community Hospital.
