PULASKI - Clara Bell “Tootsie” Akers, 78 of Pulaski born on Nov. 28, 1924 in Christiansburg to the late William Blain Akers and Carlene Clark Akers.
She was also preceded in passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003 at the home of her daughter.

Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Audra Cox of Pulaski, and Claudia Evelyn, and Sara Oliver of Ft. Myers, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Austin, Mariah, Marissa, and Malachi; sisters, Maxine Konieg of Dublin, Ohio and Olive Konieg of Gakasesse of Ohio; brothers, Harold Jewett of Haines City, Fla. and Fred Jewett of Merritt Island, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Thornspring United Methodist Church, Pulaski, with Rev. Darlene Marshall officiating. Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of service at the church.
Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.

HARRY QUESENBERRY
DRAPER - Harry Quesenberry, age 81 of 3102 Amber Lane, Draper Born Feb. 22, 1922 in Wythe County he was the son of the late Nancy Pearl Quesenberry Gravley. He was also preceded in Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with the V.F.W. Post #1184 conducting full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.

HAROLD C. “JUNE” OSBORNE, SR.
MAX MEADOWS - Harold C. “June” Osborne, Sr., 80, of Rome Road, Max Meadows, Va., born in Salem, Va., Jan. 14, 1923, son of the late Wiley Wesley and Betty Tetter Osborn. He was a member of the Austinville Pentecostal Holiness Church, he served in the United States Coast Guard and was retired from the New Jersey Zinc Company. He was preceded in Interment will follow in the Memorial Christian Church born in Carroll County, Va. to Currell and Dosca Newman Jennings, now deceased. She is also preceded in Interment will follow at the Newbern died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at Hospice Care Center. Cemetery.

LULA JENNINGS MORRIS
PULASKI - Lula Jennings Morris departed from us and went to her heavenly home on October 8, 2003.
She was death by an infant son, Bobby Lee Morris and grandsons, Terry Morris and T. J. Morris; one son-in-law, Raymond Gills of Roanoke, and sisters, Stella Jennings, Ruth J. Cruff and Zelma J. Southern all of Pulaski County.
Lula was a former employee of Sadler Hosiery Mill, as a young girl, she also worked at Paul Knitting Mill, Fairview Home and other jobs to support her children.
Her survivors include: daughters, Dreama Gills, Roanoke, Patricia (Roger) McPeak, Pulaski; sons, T. J. Morris, Sr., Salem, Earnest (Lois) Morris, Radford, Trent (Diane) Morris-Dublin, Dale Morris, Springlake, N. C.; Granny Morris’s legacy includes granddaughters, Susan Cooper, Knoxville, Tenn., Jeanie Morris, Christiansburg, Renee Hall, Christiansburg, Debbie Taylor, Phoenix, Ariz.; grandsons, Stephen (Lisa) Morris, Pulaski, Aaron (Coleen) Morris, Dublin, Mike Hall, Pulaski, Mark (Julie) Roger and Craig (Aleisha) Morris, Spring Lake, N. C., Michael (Crystal) McPeak, Pulaski, Matthew (BJ) McPeak, Ms.; great grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, Ariz., Bradley, Brian and Lyric Hall, Christiansburg, Terry and Marie Morris, Pulaski, Daye (Kevin) Roberts, Blue Ridge, Va., R. J. Cooper, Tenn., Ryan McPeak, Pulaski, Alex McPeak, Ms., Conner and Marua Morris, N. C., Gerrick and Nicholas and Joshua Morris, Sprink Lake, N. C., Eric Hollandsworth, Pulaski; great great grandchildren, James, Jude, Adam, Eden and Leah Roberts, Blue Ridge, Va., Tucker Cooper, Tenn., Xavier Hall, Christiansburg; two loving and dear friends, Katherine Clark and Lorene Bedsaul.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bower Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clayton Quesenberry, Rev. Charles Walker and Rev. Wayne Poston officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.

ROBERT RAYMOND COLLINS
PULASKI - Robert Raymond Collins, 82, of 4391 Lee Highway, Pulaski, Virginia born in Montgomery County on Oct. 31, 1920 and was the son of the late Thomas Lee Collins and Daisy Bain Collins. He was also preceded in Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Fairlawn Church of God, Rt. 114, Fairlawn with Pastor Joseph Strazerrie officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 8, 2003. Arrangements pending by Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.

WOODROW “WOODY” WILSON TUCKER
DUBLIN - Woodrow “Woody” Wilson Tucker, 86 of Dublin, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at the Salem Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Susan was passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003. She was preceded in Interment will be private.

JOAN MILLER RUPE
PULASKI - Joan Miller Rupe, age 58 of 520 Bunts Street, Pulaski Born Mar. 23, 1945 in Wiekle, W. Va. she was the daughter of the late Rosser Howard Miller and Nellie Blanche Miller. Three brothers also preceded her in death. She was retired from Pulaski Furniture with 20 years of service.
Surviving are: her husband, Richard Wayne Rupe, Pulaski; son, John W. Miller and wife, Crystal P. Miller, Pulaski; daughter, Tammy Miller, Pulaski; step-son, Brian Wayne Rupe, Snowville; grandchildren, Brittney M. Farlow, John D. Miller, Nellie Sue Miller; step-grandchildren, Chelsea Rupe, Bradley Rupe, Brison Rupe, Vanessa Branscome.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.
