COLLINSVILLE – Mildred C. Eanes, 74, of Collinsville born on April 1, 1930 in Staunton, Va. the daughter of the late Willie Ray Cameron and the late Sylvia Taylor Cameron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in funeral service in Bassett is serving the Eanes family.

HELEN PORTER WITHERS
RADFORD - Helen Porter Withers, 95 of Radford, death by her husband, Wallace Ray Withers and three grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Jane Coalson of Radford and Betty Gray of Blacksburg; one son, David Withers of Tampa, Fla.; step daughter, Marie Van Lear of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; sister, Frances Delp of Crockett, Va. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 21, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church in Radford with the Rev. Terry Woodard officiating. died Tuesday, November 16, 2004, in Pulaski Community Hospital. death. Survivors include two sons, Frederick Lewis Jackson and wife Mona of Beckley; and John C. Goodall and wife Donna of Claytor Lake; three daughters, Pamela Dunn and husband Dave, and Francine Jones and husband Dallas all of Princeton, and Terrilyn Smith and husband Stuart of Bluefield; fourteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two stepsons, Samuel Goodall of Riva, MD and Frederic C. Goodall, III and wife Cindy of Maryland; one stepdaughter, Suzanne Fisher and husband Jerry of Danville, VA; one brother, Roy L. Eades and wife Jane of Athens; and special friends, Vickie and Henry Higginbotham of Pulaski, VA. In keeping with Mrs. Goodall’s wishes, the body has been cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 8:00 PM, Friday, November 19, 2004 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Roger Lafferty officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until the service hour on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, PO Box 304, Princeton, WV 24740 or to the American Heart Assoc., Ohio Valley Affiliate, WV Region, PO Box 12110, Charleston, WV 25302 or to the Pulaski Community Hospital Cancer Center, 2400 Lee Highway, Pulaski, VA 24301.

ANNA BELL OWENS DALTON
DUBLIN - Anna Bell Owens Dalton, age 88 of 6173 Wilderness Road, Dublin (Mt. View Community), Born June 23, 1916 in Pulaski Co., she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Andrews Owens & Robert E. Owens. Mrs. Dalton was a lifelong resident of the Mt. View Community and a lifelong member of the Mt. View United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in Interment will follow in the church died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Dr. James and Lucy Shuler. She was retired from Pulaski County Dept. of Social Services and was a member of Duke Memorial Methodist Church.

Surviving are: her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Bronson and David Sumiga, of Delahey Victoria, Australia; son, Robert Howard Allen, Jr. of Max Meadows.

HAZEL ALLEY BRENNAN
DUBLIN – Hazel Alley Brennan, age 87 of Dublin, born Jan. 2, 1917 in Carroll County, Va. to Sebert and Leana Alley, who preceded her in death by her husband Frank Brennan.

Surviving are: sisters, Elva Singleton, Perryville, Md., Earlene Alley, Abingdon, Md.; brothers, Elmer Alley and wife Oscina, Havre de Grace, Md., Sidney Alley, Dublin; sister-in-law, Ilene Alley, Austinville; several nieces and nephew.

The oldest of her family she enjoyed being “mother” to sisters and brothers, taking care of her cats and flowers.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel. The Rev. Russell Payne will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 at Wythe County Community Hospital. He was preceded in passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004.

QUERIDA M. BERGER
BRADENTON, FLA. – Querida M. Berger, 93, of Bradenton, Fla. born on June 5, 1911 in Wytheville, Va. She served in England as an Army nurse in World War II. She also worked as a pediatric nurse in the Panama Canal Zone where she passed away in June. They always spent their summers at Claytor Lake so they could spend time with family in the area. She was a Christian.

Surviving are: two daughters, Diane J. Berger, Washington, DC, Roberta Berger, Bradenton, Fla.; one sister, Eva Spraker, Wytheville; two brothers, Hood McAllister, Roanoke, Ford McAllister, Wytheville.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the West End cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.

BERT WELDON MARSHALL
HIWASSEE – Bert Weldon Marshall, age 75, of 2264 Julia Simpkins Road, Hiwassee Born July 2, 1929 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Fred Marshall and Clara Seagle Marshall.

He was retired from Jefferson Mills in Pulaski with many years of service.

Surviving are: his wife of 53 years, Peggy Mabry Marshall, Hiwassee; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Charlie Parnell, Allisonia, Judy Darlene and Ronnie Johnson, Statesville, N.C.; brothers, Calvin Marshall, North Benton, Ohio, Leo Marshall, Stow, Ohio; sisters, Ruby Marshall, Hiwassee, Mavis Boyd, Hiwassee; granddaughter, Kayla Noel Parnell.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. Cemetery, Hiwassee.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.

PULASKI – Monroe Calfee, age 61 of 323 West Main Street, Pulaski, formerly of Radford departed this life on Nov. 15, 2004 in Pulaski. He was Cemetery, Pulaski. Penn’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

SHELBY LYNN METZ
PULASKI - Shelby Lynn Metz, age 39 of Pulaski, Born May 24, 1965 to the late Erlene and Danny Gillespie. She is survived by her husband, Tommy E. Metz of Dublin; one son, Bobby A. Cook serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq; one daughter, Stacey L. Sarver of Dublin. Memorial services will be held Thursday November 18, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends briefly following the service. Arrangements by Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski.

MARGARET DUNN MUSTARD
PULASKI - Margaret Dunn Mustard, age 80 of Pulaski Born January 8, 1924 in Bland, Va., daughter of the late Lena Thompson Dunn and Charles M. Dunn. She is survived by her husband Kermit Byrd Mustard; 3 daughters; Marcheta Price of Radford, Maurece “Maurie” Sink of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Mona Lee Beckner of Roanoke; 2 sisters, Nancy Minick of Bristol, Va., and Ruth Lewis of Atlanta, GA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Hendrickson officiating. Cemetery in Bland. Visiting will be anytime after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the N.R.V. Rescue Squad, the American Heart Association, or the Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements by Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski.
