Warren B. Hilliard
Warren B. Hilliard, 74, of Hyde Park, New York, died icon on Thursday, April 4, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Hilliard was born icon in Orleans on November 30, 1927, the son of Elmer and Greta (Dunham) Hilliard. He worked at Montgomery Ward for 40 years, retiring in 1990. He worked in several departments meeting many co-workers and customers who became lifelong friends. He taught evening air conditioning courses in adult education for 18 years. During his retirement, he enjoyed working for Pruden Company of Poughkeepsie, New York. He lived in Vermont and moved to New York 37 years ago. He held memberships with Hyde Park Elks Lodge No. 2778, Poughkeepsie Moose Lodge No. 904, Hyde Park American Legion Post No. 1303, and Rhinebeck Chorale Society for ten years. He enjoyed music and played the trombone for over 60 years in different bands in Vermont and with the Rhinebeck Legion Band for 37 years. He was also an avid golfer. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. On September 24, 1949, he married icon Rita Boulanger, who survives him. He is also survived by his son Jon D. Hilliard and his wife, Stephanie, of Victor, Colorado; by his daughter Joni L. Suprenant and her husband, Paul, of Springfield, Massachusetts; by a grandson, Jimmy Joyce; by two stepgrandchildren, Sean-Ryan and Robyn Suprenant; by a brother, Maynard Hilliard, and his wife, Marlene, of Orleans; by two sisters, Verla Drake of Derby and Dorothy Whipple of Orleans; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Marvin in 1945 and Clayton in 1997; and by a sister, Verna Coburn, in 1992. Funeral services were held on Wednesday with the Reverend Bruce Forbes officiating. Alfred Charles Bushey
Alfred Charles Bushey, 79, of Canaan and formerly of Holland, died icon in Colebrook, New Hampshire, on Saturday, April 6, 2002. Mr. Bushey was born icon in North Troy on March 14, 1923, the son of Joseph and Nina (Adams) Bushey. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He farmed in Holland from 1944 to 1974, at which time he moved to Canaan and farmed there until retiring in 1987. In his younger years he rolled the snow on the roads in Holland with his horses. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his horse Goldie and his dog Duke. On January 17, 1942, he married icon Katharyn Gray, who survives him. He is also survived by his children Patricia Fournier and her husband, Armand, of Derby and Daniel Bushey of Canaan; by his grandchildren: Cindy Choquette of Oceanside, California, Michael Thompson of Colchester, and Christina Wade of Vista, California; by his brother Durwood Bushey of Manchester, Connecticut; and by eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Irene Lumbra; and by his half-sisters Kathleen and Ila. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, at Converse-Rushford Funeral Home in Newport at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Roger Fletcher officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mead Hill Cemetery icon in Holland with full military honors. Florian Vachon
Florian Vachon, 75, of Newport died icon at his home on Sunday, April 7, 2002. Mr. Vachon was born icon in Stoneway, Quebec, on May 9, 1926, the son of Joseph and Delcia (Doyon) Vachon. He began working for Canadian Pacific Railroad in Quebec, then transferred to Newport in 1948. He later retired in 1988 after 40 years of service. During those years he served as a foreman, machine operator, and relieving assistant road master. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He is survived by his sons: Serge Vachon and his wife, Joanne, of Newport, Mario Vachon and his wife, Susan, of Newport, Guy Vachon of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Carl Vachon and his wife, Judy, of Parker, Florida; by his grandchildren: Danielle, Nicholas, Christopher, Sara, Guy, and Nichole Vachon; by his sister Fleurange Bernier of Canada; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers: Armand, Lucien, and Paul-Emile; and by his sisters Adelaide and Florida. Donald C. Urie
Donald C. Urie, 88, of Glover died icon Friday, July 26, 2002, at North Country Hospital in Newport. Mr. Urie was born icon in Craftsbury on May 23, 1914, the son of Clarence W. and Annie (Shields) Urie. He was a 1932 graduate of Craftsbury Academy. On March 31, 1945, he married icon Janet Urie and they owned and operated the dairy farm on Shields Lane since 1946. He was a member and elder of East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church. His family, church, and farm were his life. He enjoyed family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson, gardening, and fishing. He leaves his wife, Janet; two sons, Mason Urie of Wells River and Lowell Urie of Glover; three daughters: Sherry Urie of West Glover, Christine Snider and her husband, Carmie, of Bradenton, Florida, and Edith Comtois and her husband, Claude, of Derby; five grandchildren: Tracy Snider Legutko, Shawn Snider, Christopher Comtois, Alicia Comtois, and Andrew Comtois; one great-grandson, Henry Legutko; two brothers, Albert Urie of Craftsbury and Ralph Urie and his wife, Hazel, of Jeffersonville; a sister, Margaret Brown, of Milford, New Hampshire; a sister-in-law, Gert Urie, of Williston; and many other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by two sons, Colin and Jason Urie; by a sister, Esther Urie; and by a brother, Carl Urie. Albert Shields Urie
Albert Shields Urie, 85, a lifelong Craftsbury dairy farmer, died icon Monday, October 7, 2002, at Craftsbury Community Care Center in East Craftsbury, where he had been a resident for the past two years. Mr. Urie was born icon at the family farm in Craftsbury on January 15, 1917, the son of Clarence and Annie (Shields) Urie. He was a 1935 graduate of Craftsbury Academy. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942 to 1946 as an aircraft mechanic, and he shared many memories of his tour of duty. On August 19, 1950, he married icon his beloved wife, Marion. They shared their lives and Scottish heritage running Stillmeadow Farm. He had a deep love of the land and dedication to farming. Woodworking was a hobby that brought him much joy. He built their retirement home in 1977, and in his semi-retirement he continued to build furniture, clocks, lamps, etc. He was always on the lookout for that nice black cherry tree for his next project. His orchard and berry bushes brought him much pleasure. His berries, apples, pears, and plums were widely dispersed in the community. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He used his hobbies and knowledge of the farming community to teach them a great many of life's lessons. These lessons will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be remembered as a man of character, wit, and wisdom. He was a lifelong member of East Craftsbury United Presbyterian Church and served on numerous committees in the church and the community. His deep appreciation of music was shared singing in the church choir for over 60 years. He served the town of Craftsbury and Orleans County in many official positions. He also served many years as a Craftsbury Academy trustee. He is survived by three children and their spouses: Bruce and Betty Urie of Craftsbury, Gina and Alan Frey of Williston, and Lucy Urie of Morrisville; by grandchildren: Sarah, Amanda, Tim, and Heather Urie of Craftsbury and Kevin and Allison Frey of Williston; by a sister, Margaret Brown, of Milford, New Hampshire; by a brother, Ralph Urie, of Jeffersonville; and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion; by a sister, Esther Urie; and by brothers Carl and Donald Urie. A memorial service was held Saturday, October 12, at East Craftsbury United Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Rob John officiating. Family interment services were previously held in the family lot at East Craftsbury Cemetery. Evelyn Edith Bowen
Evelyn Edith Bowen, 75, of Holland, beloved wife of Dwight Bowen, died icon on July 26, 2002, surrounded by her family at her son Don Bowen's home in Coventry. Mrs. Bowen was born icon on October 30, 1926, in Ways Mill, Quebec, a daughter of Elwin and Sarah (White) Graves. For 16 years she was a seamstress for Bogner U.S.A., retiring in 1988. On November 4, 1945, she married icon Dwight Bowen, who survives her. She enjoyed taking care of her plants and flower gardens and feeding and watching birds. She is survived by her children: Don Bowen and his wife, Rosemarie, of Coventry, Dolores Niles and her husband, Frank, of Newport Center, Deborah English of West Charleston, Darlene Crowe of Derby, and Delsaye Bowen and her fiancT, Chris Hackett, of Derby Line; by her 12 grandchildren; by 19 great-grandchildren; by two sisters, Jessie Dezan of Three Rivers, Quebec, and Bessie Hastings and her husband, Skip, of Derby; by three brothers: Glen Graves and his wife, Jan, of East Naples, Chula Vista, California, Lee Graves of Space 81, Chula Vista; and James Graves and his wife, Mildred, of Holland; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Delight Sanville; by a grandson, Chad Crowe; by brothers Ted and Sydney Graves; by sisters Beverly Dougherty and Polly Greenwood; and by her parents, Elwin and Sarah Graves. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, at the family home on Valley Road in Holland with the Reverend Fred Barker officiating. Stanley Leon Elliott
Stanley Leon Elliott, 74, of Troy died icon in Newport on Monday, July 22, 2002. Mr. Elliott was born icon in Irasburg on November 20, 1927, the son of Jesse and Edith (Bean) Elliott. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and going on day trips. He was a past member of the Teamsters Local No. 597. On April 6, 1979, he married icon Eva Sturgeon, who survives him. He is also survived by his son Frank Elliott and his wife, Brenda; by his brother Lester Elliott of Bennington; and by his sister Jessica Knox of North Troy. He was predeceased by his brothers: Homer, Olin, and Raymond Sr.; and by his sister Verna Menard. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on July 26 at Sacred Heart Church in Troy with the Reverend Larry Ridgley officiating. Interment followed at a Troy cemetery. Blanche Mae Perron
Blanche Mae Perron, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, July 28, 2002, surrounded by family. Mrs. Perron was born icon in East Albany on October 23, 1922, a daughter of Morris and Margaret (Mullanay) Locke. She married icon Roger Perron of Glover on March 23, 1940. He predeceased her on November 10, 1990. She and her husband farmed in Glover from the time they married icon until her husband died. She stayed involved in the family Christmas tree business set up in Newington, Connecticut, until she was 70 years old. She cared for 14 children plus many hired men on the farm. She also worked at Colonial Manor Nursing Home as a cook. She loved going to yard sales and relaxing on the front porch watching her birds. She always enjoyed the kids fishing, four-wheeling, and riding horses. She looked forward to the weekend to see Stanley and Cynthia coming to mow her golf course lawn, and making her flowers grow. She will be missed by all. She gave birth to 14 children. One child, Alfred Perron, predeceased her, and 13 children survive her: Becky Simino and her husband, Richard, of Glover, Lillian Conley and her husband, Royce, of Glover, Cynthia Swett and her husband, Stanley, of Newport, Erward Perron and his wife, Claire, of Barton, Gloria Conley and her husband, Larry, of Glover, Edward Perron and his wife, Donna, of Barton, Theresa Perron and her companion, Larry Janowski, of Glover, Noella Cotnoir and her husband, Donald, of Coventry, Joslyn Perron and her companion, Joe Ouellette, of Glover, Mark Perron and his wife, Becky, of Torrington, Connecticut, Lenwood Perron and his wife, Tami, of Glover, Georgette Rockwell and her husband, Richard, of Barton, and Regina Cole and her husband, Michael, of Weare, New Hampshire; and by 56 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers Roger and Kenneth of Albany; and by sister June (Locke) St. Pierre of St. Albans. She is also survived by many close relatives. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, at Glover Community Church at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Michael Caldwell officiating. Marcel "Pete" Auger
Marcel "Pete" Auger, 64, of West Glover died icon Tuesday, October 8, 2002, at the Veterans Hospital in White River Junction. Mr. Auger was born icon in West Glover on December 1, 1937, the son of the late Charles and Marie-Ange (Menard) Auger. He served with the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962. He returned to Vermont to the family dairy farm he operated for many years in West Glover. He was a member of American Legion Orleans Post No. 23. He leaves a sister, Jeannine Bruneau, of Naugatuck, Connecticut; a brother, Maurice Auger, of Center Sandwich, New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers: Roland, Jean-Claude, and Raoul Auger; and by two sisters, Jacqueline and Denise Auger. A Memorial Mass was held October 12 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in East Albany with Father Dan Rupp officiating. Interment of ashes followed in St. Theresa's Cemetery icon in Orleans. Paul E. Bernier Jr.
Paul E. Bernier Jr., 70, of Derby, died icon suddenly at his home on Friday, October 11, 2002. Mr. Bernier was born icon in St. Johnsbury on February 1, 1932, the son of Bernadine (Prevost) and Paul E. Bernier Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy and attended St. Michael's College and the University of Vermont. He moved here in 1985. He enjoyed painting, reading, music, and the outdoors. He is survived by his brothers Raymond R. Bernier of Baltimore, Maryland, and John P. Bernier of Sudbury, Ontario; by a sister, Gabrielle Casey, and her husband, Francis, of Guilderland, New York; and by 16 nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Roland G. Bernier. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery icon in St. Johnsbury in spring 2003. William D. Blake
William D. Blake, 73, of Coventry died icon early Thursday morning, October 10, 2002, at his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Blake was born icon in Newport Center on March 26, 1939, the son of Zenas and Laura (Bean) Blake. On December 5, 1954, he married icon Gwendolyn Ingalls, who survives him. He was in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He worked for Ethan Allen for over 21 years. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 21 in Newport. He was highly admired by his children. Besides his wife he is survived by his three children: Vicki Strobridge and her husband, Roger, of Worcester, Lori Stratton and her husband, Kelly, of Coventry, and William and his wife, Gloria, of Underhill; by four grandchildren: Joshua Montague, Seth Cartee, and Cory and Abigail Blake; and by a sister, Mary Fairbrother, of Newport. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Herbert. Funeral services were held at Orleans Federated Church on October 15 with the Reverend Bruce Forbes and the Reverend Roger Fletcher officiating. Janet R. Clarke
Janet R. Clarke, 47, of Essex Junction, died icon early Sunday morning, October 13, 2002, surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness. Mrs. Clarke was born icon in Newport on October 21, 1954, the daughter of Burton and Ruth (Osborne) Perrier. On June 17, 1972, she married icon George R. Clarke of Island Pond at Holy Family Catholic Church in Essex Junction. He survives her. They returned from the Philippines in July of 2000. In January 2000 the United States Marine Detachment presented her with a special citation for making her home "a home away from home" for the Marine Detachment during the holidays. A dinner invitation at her home was highly prized by the diplomatic community of the Philippines. She was a member of the American Women's Club of the Philippines, the U.S. Embassy Association in Manilla, Philippines, and American Legion Auxiliary Brighton Post No. 80 Island Pond. She was employed by the New England Federal Credit Union in Essex Junction. She traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad but always considered Vermont as her "special place." She was a loving and caring person who had an infectious smile that would brighten up any gathering of family and friends. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Jason Clarke and his wife, Heather, of Brunswick, Georgia, Melissa Clarke and her friend, Kevin Gieler, of Watkinsville, Georgia, and Stacey Clarke of Burlington; by her grandson Peyton Clarke; by her mother, Ruth Perrier, of Winterhaven, Florida; by her brother Brian Perrien and his wife, Dawn, of Essex Junction; by her sisters: Cathy Williams and her husband, Reynald, of Milton and Susan Perrier and her friend, Raphael Guitterez, of Essex Junction; by her brothers-in-law: Michael Clarke and his wife, Janella, of Island Pond, Patrick Clarke and his wife, Lisa, of Island Pond, and Darcy Clarke of Wickenburg, Arizona; by her sister-in-law Christine Clarke and her life partner, Aime DeGrenier, of East Hampton, Massachusetts; by her mother-in-law, Jeannine Clarke, of Island Pond; and by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Alvin E. Cook
Alvin E. Cook, 86, of Irasburg died icon in Newport on Sunday, October 13, 2002. Mr. Cook was born icon in Irasburg on May 1, 1916, the son of Harry and Alice (Downing) Cook. In 1933 he married icon Velma Herman, who predeceased him on June 1, 2000. They farmed for 44 years at their farm between Coventry and Orleans, where they also raised their family. They also did some sugaring. He was a member and past master of Irasburg Masonic Lodge No. 62. He was a committee man for the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service, a former lister and auditor for the town of Irasburg, and a member of Irasburg United Church, where he served on several committees and was extremely active in its annual church fair. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed going dancing with his wife. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. His life can best be described as being a giver and someone who enjoyed helping others. He is survived by his children: Ron Cook and his wife, Lea, of Morgan, Joyce Dutton and her husband, Jim Williamson, of Newport, Jean Gosselin and her husband, Robert, of Morgan, Richard Cook and his wife, Carlene, of Coventry, Donna Langdeau and her husband, Robert, of Essex Junction, David Cook and his friend, Laurie Geoffrey of Irasburg, and Sandra Hodgson and her husband, James, of South Hero; by his brother Byron Cook and his wife, Betty, of Irasburg; by his sisters-in-law Alice Cook of Coventry and Leona Rice of Brownington; by his brother-in-law Woody Herman and his wife, Nancy, of Connecticut; by 20 grandchildren; by 20 great-grandchildren; by one great-great-grandchild; and by several nieces and nephews. Thelma Alice (Gochey) Ewen
Thelma Alice (Gochey) Ewen, 76, died icon peacefully Friday, October 4, 2002, in Burlington at Fletcher Allen Health Care after a courageous battle with leukemia. The daughter of Lester and Pearl (Gray) Gochey, Mrs. Ewen was born icon in Wolcott on August 19, 1926. She grew up in Cabot where she attended Cabot Plains School. The many activities she enjoyed included horses, harness racing, picnics with her family, riding with her dog Sparky, flower gardening, hunting, fishing, walking, and snowmobiling. She is survived by her children: Bernard Ewen, the eldest, and his companion, Pam, of Hardwick, David Ewen and his companion, Shirley, of Barre, Ronald Ewen and his wife, Linda, of Woodbury, Carolyn Putvain and her husband, Robert, of Nevada, Barbara Keough and her husband, Gary, of Hardwick, Gary Ewen and his companion, Peggy, of Woodbury, Roger Ewen and his wife, Vicki, of Worcester, Cheryl Gardner and her husband, Ronald, of Barre, Arthur Ewen and his wife, Laurie, of Wolcott, and Bonnie Locke and her husband, Kendall, of Irasburg; by her brothers Fred Gochey of Cabot and Clarence Gochey of Bellows Falls; by her sisters: Eunice Stuart of St. Johnsbury, Patricia Hasting of Lyndonville, and Arlene Nutter of Lyndonville; and by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Madeline Bruce Findsen, 87, widow of Elmer W. Findsen, died icon October 9, 2002. Mrs. Findsen was born icon in Moretown on July 17, 1915, the daughter of Howard P. and Gertrude M. (Robinson) Bruce. She attended elementary school in Moretown and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1932. She started work in the state Department of Education in the teacher education division and was secretary to the deputy commissioner of education for 17 years, during which time she saw the initiation of the general equivalency diploma program to enable students and others to earn high school accreditation. She worked in the Department of Education for 42 years until her retirement in 1977. She married icon Elmer W. Findsen on May 31, 1969, in Corinth. Upon her retirement, she and her husband spent summers at their Crystal Lake home in Barton. In 1981 they purchased a winter home, also in Barton. She loved the lake, gardening, flowers, and her homes. Her husband died icon in August 1992. She is survived by one brother, Clifford A. Bruce, of Moretown. Two sisters, Eleanor Booth, formerly of Barre, and Ermina R. Bruce, former registered nurse, are deceased. She is survived by five nephews: Philip E. Bruce of Plainfield, Ronald H. Bruce of Moretown, Martin A. Bruce of Northfield, Donald L. Booth of Princeton, Massachusetts, and Douglas B. Booth of Colchester. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery icon in Barre Town in the family lot. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Curtis-Britch Converse-Rushford Funeral Home.

Emma J. Knox
Emma J. Knox, 73, of North Troy died icon peacefully October 10, 2002, in Newport. Mrs. Knox was born icon on January 20, 1929, in Derby, a daughter of Jesse and Edna (Bean) Elliott. On May 30, 1969, she married icon Lester Knox, who predeceased her. She adored cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Moulton of East Charleston and Luna French of Hardwick; by six grandchildren; by four great-grandchildren; by a brother, Lester Elliott, of Bennington; by sister-in-law Eva Elliott of Troy; by special cousin Wilma Dopp of Derby; and by close friend Terri Medley of North Troy. She was predeceased by her brothers: Olin, Raymond, Stanley, and Homer Elliott; and by a sister, Verna Menard. Funeral services were held October 11 at Curtis-Britch Converse-Rushford Funeral Home in Newport with the Reverend Frank Massa officiating. Interment followed at Troy Village Cemetery. Arrangements are by Curtis-Britch Converse-Rushford Funeral Homes.

Maurice D. Lancaster
Maurice D. Lancaster, 80, of Island Pond died icon early Sunday morning, October 13, 2002, in Newport following a long illness. Mr. Lancaster was born icon in Haverhill, New Hampshire, on November 28, 1921, the son of Murray and Edith (Hill) Lancaster. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He owned the Village Market in Island Pond for many years before retiring in 1980. On May 12, 1974, he married icon Virginia (Bapp) who survives him. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 2309 in Island Pond and American Legion Post No. 80. His interests included hunting, fishing, using the CB radio, and working with wood. He is survived by the following children: Cheryl Conley and her husband, David, of Island Pond and James Labor and his wife, Jane, of Scotland; by the following stepchildren: Jimmy Rowell and his wife, Sue, of Brownington, Charlotte Adams and her husband, Fletcher, of North Hyde Park, Mitchell Rowell and his wife, Ethel, of Albany, Allan Rowell of Evansville, Harold Rowell and his wife, Pam, of North Carolina, Rose Gilman and her friend, Armou Moodie, of Greensboro Bend, Vivian Rowell of Georgia, and Penny Herman and her husband, Mike, of Brownington; by grandchildren: Sean Conley and his wife, Marie, Kirsten and Gerard Harris, and Scott Labor; by 18 stepgrandchildren; by 19 stepgreat-grandchildren; by cousins; and by two sisters-in-law, Jean Hoadley and her husband, Fred, of North Hyde Park and Beulah Smith of Milton. There will be no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held at Curtis-Britch Converse-Rushford Funeral Home in Island Pond on Saturday, October 19, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Roger Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery icon with full military honors. Linda Lee Lemieux
Linda Lee Lemieux, 55, of Newport, beloved wife of Alfred Lemieux Sr., died icon peacefully October 11, 2002, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, after a long illness. Mrs. Lemieux was born icon on October 16, 1946, in North Troy, a daughter of the late Malcolm and Grace (Sanville) Gibney. On November 30, 1963, she married icon Alfred Lemieux, who survives her. She was a licensed child-care provider and owned and operated Mama Bear Day Care Center for 16 years. She loved her occupation, especially the children for whom she cared during the years. More recently she was also pursuing an associate's degree in secretarial science, which was almost completed. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, and working in her flower garden. Decorating for Halloween and Christmas were special to her. She enjoyed cooking the big Sunday dinners for her family and spending time with her grandchildren, but most of all she loved her family and life. Besides her beloved husband, Alfred Lemieux Sr., of Newport, she is survived by her dear children: Alfred J. Lemieux Jr. and his wife, Dajana, of Newport, Tony J. Lemieux and his wife, Rose, of Newport Center, Rodney J. Lemieux and his wife, Lynn, of McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, Kathy Montminy and her husband, Bruce Jr., of Glover, and Michelle Billado and her husband, Carlton Jr., of Troy; by her cherished 14 grandchildren; by brothers Wendell Sanville of Milford, Massachusetts, and Jake Gibney of Bath, New Hampshire; by sisters: Joyce Paradis of York, Maine, Betty Currie of Milford, Massachusetts, and Susie Judkins of Marshfield; and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, at North Troy United Church with the Reverend Frank Massa officiating. Interment will follow at North Troy Cemetery.
