Marianne Lauzon Grayson
Marianne Lauzon Grayson, 57, of Bremerton died June 25, 2002, in Bremerton.
She was born March 1, 1945, in Yakima to Lawrence J. and Thelma M. (Paulsen) Lauzon. She graduated from Highline High School in 1963 and attended Highline Junior College.
She married Ernest Foster Grayson on March 17, 1995, in Poulsbo.
Mrs. Grayson had worked as a licensed practical nurse caregiver with Catholic Community Services in Bremerton.
She enjoyed sewing and helping others. She was an active member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Bremerton and the Society for Creative Anachronism.
Survivors include her husband; her mother; a son, Erik Christiansen of Bremerton; a daughter, Dawn Geyer of Bremerton; two brothers, Larry Lauzon and his wife, Linda, of Shelton and Ralph Lauzon and his wife, Susan, of Anacortes; and two sisters, Jean Lauzon of Shelton and Susan Russell and her husband, Ron, of Union; and five grandchildren. Her father preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel with cremation at Cherry Grove Crematory in Poulsbo.
Memorial donations may be made to the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church "Angel Tree, " 1015 Veneta, Bremerton, WA 98312.

Dorothy Martin
Dorothy Martin, 69, of Suquamish died of cancer Jan. 16, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Nov. 5, 1932, in Missouri to Claude and Dorothy Leslie Jr.
She had worked as a dog trainer for 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, painting, sewing and travel.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Martin of Suquamish; two sons, John Martin Jr. of Hanford, Calif., and Chris Martin of Roy; two daughters, Julie Cancio of Hanford, Calif., and Heather Martin of Suquamish; a brother, Lucky Leslie of Suquamish; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are private.

Harold Rose
Harold L. Rose, 70, of Port Orchard died of complica-tions from heart surgery June 25, 2002, at the Veterans Hospital in Seattle.
He was born March 1, 1932, in Midland, S.D., to John and Clarice (Morgan) Rose. He attended Swan River High School in Swan River, Mont., graduating from Eureka High School in Eureka, Mont., in 1950.
He married Virginia Nelson on Jan. 20, 1953, in Olympia.
Mr. Rose was self-employed for 30 years.
He enjoyed making jewelry, wine and cultivating fruit. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cynthia Rose of Sumner, Morgana Rose "Sharon" Seay of Orting and Melissa Rose of Port Orchard; four brothers; two sisters; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. July 6 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Port Orchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Mike Tarabochia
Mike Antone Tarabochia, 80, of Bainbridge Island died June 24, 2002, at Island Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Astoria, Ore., to John B. and Mary (Scrivinich) Tarabochia. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1941 and continued to live on Bainbridge Island for most of his life.
He married Bettie Brigham on Nov. 26, 1949, in Seattle.
Mr. Tarabochia served in the Army during World War II, achieving the rank of sergeant. He was discharged in 1946.
He later worked as a purse seiner with Alaska Packing Co. in Kodiak, Alaska, and fished commercially for salmon and smelt in Puget Sound. He also remodeled houses and worked as a carpenter.
Mr. Tarabochia enjoyed traveling with his wife, sport fishing and gardening. He also was an avid sports fan.
He was a longtime member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church on Bainbridge Island.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Tarabochia of Bainbridge Island; two daughters, Kathy Parker and her husband, Craig, of Medina and Susan Teismann and her husband, Kevin, of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Dominic Tarabochia of Seattle; and eight grand-children, Brian, Brooke, Mark and Jane Tarabochia, Matt and Sue Teismann, and Nick and Ann Parker.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1310 Madison Ave. N. on Bain-bridge Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Satur-day, also at St. Cecilia. Interment icon will be at Kane cemetery in Port Madison. Arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove, 22272 Foss Road NE in Poulsbo.
Memorial donations may be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, 1100 Fairview Ave. N., P.O. Box 19024, LY-120, Seattle, WA 98109-1024.

Nona Gleich
Nona Gleich, 89, of Bremerton died June 19, 2002, at Bremerton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 17, 1913, in Wagner, S.D., to Madison and Fannie (Hammell) Monlux. She graduated from Wagner High School in 1931.
She married Edward E. Gleich on April 25, 1935, in Sioux City, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Gleich was a homemaker. She also had worked in retail sales.
Her interests included gardening and sewing. She was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors include a son, Al Gleich of Bremerton; a daughter, Dolores Pogreb-niak of Alligator Point, Fla.; a sister, Madge Harris of Brookings, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Newton, and by six sisters, Agnus, Lola, Grace, Irma, Nina and Mildred.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.

Peggy Kodalen
Margaret Ann "Peggy" Kodalen, 84, of Poulsbo died June 23, 2002, of complications from a heart attack and stroke at Martha & Mary Health Care Center in Poulsbo.
She was born Feb. 13, 1918, in Great Falls, Mont., to Dougal and Cora (Edwards) Cameron. She graduated from Coeur D'Alene High School in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, in 1935. In her youth, she became accomplished at horseback riding and tennis.
She married Kenneth L. Kodalen on Sept. 22, 1939, in Great Falls. The Kodalens had been longtime residents of Great Falls, where they owned a grocery store for several years. They had lived in Poulsbo for the past three years.
Mrs. Kodalen also had worked as a registered nurse in Great Falls for more than 30 years. She began her nurse's training at Sacred Heart Nursing School in Spokane and received her certification as a registered nurse from Columbus School of Nursing in Great Falls.
She enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing and RVing. Bowling also was a favorite pastime.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kenneth "KC" Kodalen and his wife, Sarah, of Oak Harbor and Robert Kodalen and his fiancee, Donna Reed, of Poulsbo; a sister, Marie Bungay of San Diego; three grandchildren, Stephen Kodalen, Kelley Arena and Kimberly Kodalen; and two great-grandsons, Kyle and Conner Kodalen.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the noon funeral service Saturday at The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove, 22272 Foss Road NE in Poulsbo.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Peggy Kodalen to Martha & Mary Health Services, P.O. Box 127, Poulsbo, WA 98370.

Genevieve Savell
Genevieve Caroline Savell, 70, of Bremerton died June 25, 2002, at her home.
She was born Dec. 3, 1931, in Oshkosh, Wis., to John and Susan Rogers. She graduated from West Division High School in Milwaukee in 1948.
She married Robert D. Savell on Sept. 12, 1953, in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1972.
Mrs. Savell was a homemaker and devoted mother.
She was an avid Mariners fan. She also enjoyed playing cards and taking long drives.
Survivors include three sons, Donald R. Savell of Seattle, Michael J. Savell of Port Orchard and Dennis J. Savell of Henderson, Nev.; two daughters, Debbie A. Sullivan of Neshkoro, Wis., and Sharon M. Katsaros of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren, Travis, Michelle, Katie, Charles, Alex, Bryan and Sarah. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Helen Rezendes
Helen J. Rezendes, 83, of Port Orchard died June 19, 2002, at Port Orchard Care Center.
She was born June 23, 1918, in Oakland, Calif., to Emma and John Hines.
She married Antone Rezendes Jr. He died in 1971.
Mrs. Rezendes had worked as a certified nursing assistant.
For many years, she lived in Vallejo, Calif., where she had been a member of the Women of the Moose 315 for more than 35 years, a lifetime member of Native Daughters of the Golden West and a volunteer with the American Cancer Society for more than 20 years.
She had lived in Bremerton since 1999. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Bremerton.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Rezendes of Torrington, Wyo., and Ronald Rezendes of San Diego; a daughter, Patricia Wright of Port Orchard; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Toni Lee Lucas and Margaret Calvert.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.

Jerry Pettie
Geraldine Ann "Jerry" (Smith ) Pettie, 90, of Bremerton died June 23, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born May 6, 1912, in Wamego, Kan., to Wilbur D. and Laura (Burgess) Laughlin. She graduated from Seward High School in Seward, Alaska, in 1930.
She married William M. "Smitty" Smith on April 27, 1930, in Cordova, Alaska. He died in 1952.
She married Ernest Pettie in November 1967. He died in 1973.
Mrs. Pettie was a home-maker. She had attended business school in Seattle and held various jobs throughout her life.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, actively extending her love of children to help those who suffer from neglect. Other interests were gardening and crochet.
Survivors include two sons, David M. Smith and his wife, Marion, of Bremerton and Thomas D. Smith and his wife, Sylvia, of Gig Harbor; a daughter, Sue L. Sewell and her hus-band, Robert, of Tracyton; a sister, Wilma Lind of Seward, Alaska; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally A. (Smith) Segel of Boise, Idaho, and by two sisters, Genevieve Cassity of Wamego and Alberta Stanton of Seward.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ivy Green cemetery in Bremerton. Memorial donations may be made to Save The Children Federation, 54 Wilton Road, Westport, CT 06880.

Anna Unser
Anna Unser, 85, of Allyn died June 24, 2002, in Allyn.
She was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Napoleon, N.D., to Paul and Agatha (Scheider) Doll. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in Bismarck, N.D.
She married George M. Unser on Feb. 26, 1935. He died in 1998.
Mrs. Unser had worked at Armor's Creamery and at Arrowhead Cleaners, both in North Dakota.
She enjoyed crochet, quilting and watching television. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Unser and his wife, Marge, and Bob Unser and his wife, Bobbie, all of Seattle, and Buck Unser and his wife, Carolita, of Orting; a daughter, Dolly Smith and her husband, Eugene, of Winlock; two brothers, Wendelin Doll and Anton Doll and his wife, Pearl, all of Bismarck; five sisters, Mag Welch and her husband, Bob, and Theresa Priddy, all of Bismarck, Katie Benn of Seattle, Liz Bernhardt of Coquille, Ore., and Rose Siegel and her husband, Jack, of Myrtle Point, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva and Margaret Doll, and by a brother, John Doll.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A prayer service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, also at Lewis. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bismarck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. July 3, also at St. Mary's. Interment icon will be at St. Mary's cemetery in Bismarck.

Huey Long
Francis E. "Huey" Long, 66, of Port Orchard died June 21, 2002, of cancer at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma.
He was born July 30, 1935, in Wheeling, W.Va.
He married Lorena F. (Drummond) Smart on May 23, 1989, in Las Vegas.
Mr. Long served in the Navy from 1952 until retiring in 1972 as a senior chief machinist's mate. He served primarily as a submariner, receiving numerous awards.
Following his military career, he worked in Oregon for several years as a free-lance journalist, technical writer and with Intel. In 1987, he became a test engineer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Long continued his military involvement as a member of Fleet Reserve Branch 29 and as a life member of both the Navy League and Bremerton Sub Vets. He participated in the establishment of Deterrent Park on the Submarine Base at Bangor.
He also had an interest in politics. He was a candidate for Port of Bremerton com-missioner in 1999 and was an active member of the Kitsap Republican Party.
Mr. Long had been active as a Mason in Vallejo, Calif. Other interests were garden-ing and trips to Reno, Nev.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Kathleen Preston of Port Orchard, Kristeen Kish of Clackamas, Ore., and Leslie Long of Vancouver, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell and Mariah, all of Oregon, and Olivia and Hayden, both of Port Orchard.
A memorial service will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 239, 190 S. Dora Ave. in Bremerton. Memorial donations may be made to the Bremerton Sub Vets Scholarship Fund, c/o Carl Berg, P.O. Box 1035, Seabeck, WA 98380 or to the Woodrow Wilson Retirement Associa-tion, P.O. Box 666, Seabeck, WA 98380.
