Charlotte Theone Shockley

Charlotte Theone Shockley, 73, of Zillah died Friday, June 20 in Kennewick.

She was born in Sunnyside. She was a mother and homemaker.

Survivors include her mother, Pauline Shockley of Outlook; a son, Joseph Callahan; six daughters, Barbara Quinlan, Gail Sauve, Patricia Hatley, Paula Passmore, Colleen Boyer and Carla Miller; a sister, Marlene Skeen of Outlook; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be on Thursday. Those wishing to attend should contact a family member for details.

Valley Hills Funeral Home of Sunnyside is handling arrangements.

Virginia Maxine Pease

Virginia Maxine Pease, 76, of Outlook, WA passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ginny was born January 27, 1932 in Columbus, Mt, the daughter of Frank and Ruby (Dobbs) Kearney.

Ginny attended Lone Tree School in Stillwater County until the family moved to the Yakima Valley in 1943. She continued her education in the Sunnyside schools, graduating with the Class of 1950.

Virginia married Dale Pease in 1951. Together they had 3 sons, Joel, Don, and Kerry who were the highlight of her life.

She farmed, worked at various food processors, was a homemaker and loved her flowers. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Sunnyside.

Ginny is survived by her sons, Joel (Sheryl) Pease of Belfair, WA, Don (Lorrie) Pease of Issaquah, WA, and Kerry (Cheryl) of Cheney, WA, her grandchildren Kasey, Logan, Kinsey, Jessica, and Rylie. She is also survived by her brother Ken (Shirley) Kearney, sisters Mary Lou (Ernie) Ribail, Ethel Porter and sister in-law Leona Kearney of Sunnyside, WA, Bobbie Taylor, Geraldine (Clayton) Klippert of Spokane and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and a brother, Duane Kearney.

Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a later date.

Curtis Allen Speak

Curtis Allen Speak, 65, of Naches died Friday, June 20 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Speak was born in Calico Rock, Ark. He worked as a truck driver and a volunteer firefighter.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Speak of Naches; a daughter, Melissa Speak of Naches; and a sister, Glenabelle Melton of Moxee.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. June 28 at the United Christian Church, 317 S. 41st St.

Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima is in charge of arrangements.

Rosemary Henness-Evans

Rosemary Henness-Evans, 69, of Yakima died Wednesday, June 18.

Mrs. Henness-Evans was born in Dickenson, N.D. She worked as a retail sales clerk.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Henness of Bonney Lake, Wash., Jeff Henness of Seattle; a brother, Robert Hartinger of Kettle Falls, Wash.; three sisters, Doris Albert of Yakima, Shirly Braymiller of Florida and Linda Luedtke of Portland; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service is pending.

Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima is in charge of arrangements.

Raoul Lopez

Raoul Lopez, 67, of Toppenish died Tuesday, June 17.

Mr. Lopez was born in El Salto Jalisco, Mexico. He resided in Toppenish for 40 years and worked as a farm laborer.

Survivors include his wife, Esmeralda Lopez of Toppenish; a son, Raul Lopez of Toppenish; three daughters, Sylvia Lopez of Toppenish, Delia Lopez of Yakima and Michelle Lopez of Leavenworth, Wash.; three brothers, Leopoldo Lopez and George Lopez of Toppenish and George Zepeda of Spokane; and six grandchildren.

No services have been scheduled at this time.

Valley Hills Funeral Home, Zillah, is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Leroy Turvey

Richard Leroy Turvey, 66, of Yakima died Monday, June 16 at home.

Mr. Turvey was born and raised in Yakima and served in the Army for 20 years. Upon returning to Yakima, he was a self-employed auto mechanic.

Survivors include a daughter, Tanya Kallenberger of Meridian, Idaho; a stepson, Ron Febus, and a stepdaughter, Donna Mullins, both of Yakima; a brother, James Turvey of Yakima; two sisters, Marjorie Switzer of Yakima and Patricia Turvey of Spokane; and one grandchild.

Memorial services are pending.

Valley Hills Funeral Home, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.
