Richard Klett

Richard T. Klett, age 54, of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at University of Wisconsin Hospital, in Madison, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, at 10:30 A.M. at Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, with Father Thomas Monaghan officiating. Cremation will take place at Castle Rock Cremation Service in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, on a future date.

Richard was born April 15, 1949 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, the son of Robert and Betty Pfeifer. He grew up in Lyndon Station, and on June 14, 1969, he married Cheryl K. Burns of Reedsburg. Shortly thereafter, the couple moved to Chicago, where they lived for 20 years and were blessed with a daughter; Tiffany Ann. The family returned to Lyndon Station in 1991. Richard worked at Ho-Chunk Casino as a security officer/EMT. He became an active member of the local community by serving as a volunteer fireman/EMT for the town of Lyndon. He was also elected as Chairperson for the Kildare Township.

Richard is survived by his wife Cheryl Klett, his daughter Tiffany Klett, and his brother Edward Pfeifer, all of whom are from Lyndon Station.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Betty Pfeifer.

Visitation will be held at Conway-Picha Funeral Home on Friday August 21, from 5 to 8 P.M. and on Saturday August 22, from 9:00 until the time of service at 10:30 A.M.

Kenneth Dolgner

Kenneth Dolgner, age 58, of Montello, Wisconsin, died Monday, March 31, 2003 at University Hospital of Madison, Wisconsin.

A memorial celebration of Ken’s life will be held Sunday, April 13, 2003 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Harrisville Lion's Club in Harrisville, Wisconsin. According to his wishes, Ken was cremated.

Ken was born March 7, 1945 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, the son of Harold and Bernice (Nelson) Dolgner. In 1965, he married Sandra Dreier in Brandon, Wisconsin.

Ken is survived by his wife, Sandy; sons, Steve (Andrea) of Westfield and Jesse at home; a daughter, Annette (Jared) Roberts of Harrisville; his mother, Bernice Dolgner of Waupun, Wisconsin; brothers, Eugene of Dalton, Wisconsin, Leroy (Jeanie) of Waupun, and Richard of Green Bay; and grandchildren, Dustin and Anna Dolgner and Alayne and Isabella Roberts. He was preceded in death by his father.

Margaret Woods

Margaret Woods, age 88, of Oxford, Wisconsin, died Friday, March 28, 2003 at the Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, Wisconsin.

According to her wishes, Margaret was cremated and no services were to be held.

Margaret was born February 13, 1915 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of Hale and Laura (Kinnear) Stow. She had married Larry Woods and he preceded her in death.

Margaret is survived by her dear friends, Gordon and Bonny Ducas of Oxford, and a niece, Carolyn Oakes of Minnesota.

Robert McLean

Robert McLean, age 78, of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at his residence of complications arising from kidney failure.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford, Wisconsin with grandson, Father Dean Russell and Reverend Carol Hermann co-officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Brooks, Wisconsin. Military rites will be provided by the Neenah Valley Memorial Post 6003 of Oxford, Wisconsin.

Bob was born July 26, 1924 in Westfield, Wisconsin, the eldest son of Charles and Ethel (Smith) McLean. While still attending Westfield High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in January 1942. He saw combat in the Pacific at Tinian, Saipan and Okinawa. He was honorably discharged in August 1945 and spent several years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1949. On February 6, 1954, Bob married Marlis C. McGowan in Portage, Wisconsin. “Mac” was stationed in Alaska, Baltimore, Munich and Washington, D.C. prior to his retirement in 1966. He closed his governmental career working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture until 1980. After residing in Denver for many years, he had his “dream house” built in 1982 outside of Oxford. Bob was a member of the Star of Bethlehem chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Portage; a lifetime member of Neenah Valley Memorial Post 6003 of Oxford, Wisconsin; Fort Winnebago Lodge 33 in Portage and a lifetime member of the Grand Marsh Lions Club.

Bob is survived by his loving and caring wife, Marlis; stepsons, Dean (Bonnie) Russell of Rockford, Illinois and Keith (Terry) Russell of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin; stepdaughters, Carol Simonson of Endeavor, Wisconsin and Donna (Patrick) Tucker of Portage; a brother, Harold McLean of Sandia, Texas and a sister, Patricia McLean of Dane, Wisconsin. Bob can proudly list eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren on his honor roll. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles and a son-in-law, Jerold Simonson.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 7 P.M. and on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 10:30 A.M.

Dorothy Gaither

Dorothy Gaither, age 82, of Montello, Wisconsin, died Thursday, February 6, 2003 at her residence.

Memorial funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford, Wisconsin with Reverend Donald Wedel officiating. Dorothy was cremated according to her wishes.

Dorothy was born October 1, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Burke) Marshall. She is survived by a son, Patrick (Rhonda Johnson) Gaither and a granddaughter, Mercedes Sigele Gaither. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held at Oxford Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 7 P.M.

Robert Eggert

Robert Eggert, age 73, of Oxford, Wisconsin, died Saturday, February 8, 2003 at the Tomah Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Tomah, Wisconsin, following a lengthy illness.

Memorial funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford, with Reverend Benjamin Thompson officiating. According to his wishes Robert was cremated.

Robert was born March 16, 1929 in Cudahy, Wisconsin, the son of Herman and Lucille (Nagel) Eggert. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and attained the rank of Tech Sergeant. In 1958, he married Erika Muller in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1970. Following his military career, he was employed by the Department of Natural Resources and stationed out of Friendship, Wisconsin.

Robert is survived by his wife, Erika; a son, Thomas (Wendy) Eggert of Waukesha, Wisconsin; a daughter, Marlene Eggert of Oxford ; a sister, Marcella (Gordon) Behrendt of Cudahy, Wisconsin, and a grandson, Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.

Robert Fowler

Robert Fowler, age 80, of Oxford, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at the Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2003 at 11:00 A.M., at the Trinity Endeavor United Church of Christ in Endeavor, Wisconsin, with Reverend Jeffrey Nicholas and Carolyn M.R. Kennedy co-officiating. Burial will be at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Endeavor.

Robert was born November 11, 1922 in Elroy, Wisconsin, the son of Lloyd and Meta (Nelson) Fowler. He grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin, and graduated from schools there. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War 2. In October of 1948, he married Olga Kleven in Janesville. He worked for many years for general motors and retired as a plant manager in 1978. In Janesville, Robert was very active with baseball, softball, golf and bowling leagues and he loved to fish. Robert and his wife moved permanently to Oxford in 1993, where they had been spending most weekends since 1962. Robert was a member of the Neenah Valley Memorial Post 6003 of Oxford, Wisconsin, and the Montello American Legion.

Robert is survived by his wife, Olga; nephews, Gary (Pattie) Fowler of Madison, Wisconsin, Jeff (Lori) Fowler of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Brad (Lachel) Fowler of Beloit, Wisconsin and Rick (Paula) Anderson and Craig Fowler both of Janesville; nieces, Cindy (Jim) Staton of Zionsville, Indiana, Candy (Tom) Schaeffer of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Cheri (Brian) Wolnick and Karen (Robert) Pennycook both of Janesville; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Fowler of Beloit. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vivian Minnick, Lorraine Anderson and Viola Fowler; and brothers, Everett Fowler and Lloyd Fowler, Jr.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Sunday, February 16, 2003 from 4 to 6 P.M. and on Monday at Trinity Endeavor United Church of Christ from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.
