Ackerman, Dr. Eugene J.
Born May 22, 1911, passed away August 28, 2000, age 89 years, of Milwaukee. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edythe M. Ackerman (nee Margoles). Dear father of Judy (Ric) Lombard, Portland, ME, Michael Ackerman, Denver, CO, and Robert Ackerman, Minneapolis, MN. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey (Abby) Ackerman, Wellsley, MA, Andrew and Matthew Lombard, Portland, ME and great-grandfather of Peter and Alexander Ackerman, Wellsley, MA. Gene graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee from both undergraduate and medical. He was a member of Phi Delta Epsilon and was instrumental in getting penicillin from Walter Reed (during the war) for civilians. The Ackerman Clinic in Cudahy provided service for over 50 years to his patients and the community. He worked at both Mt. Sinai and Trinity Hospitals and was one of the founding doctors at Trinity.
