MaryLou E. Tutton

MaryLou E. Tutton, 64, of Palmyra, died on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Born on November 8, 1944 in Watertown, to Albert and Marjorie (Kohls) Robel.

She married Ralph Tutton on May 9, 1964 in Fort Atkinson.

She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Palmyra.

MaryLou enjoyed a good card game- especially if she won!

She loved her life and her family very much. She will be missed.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Ralph, two daughters, Kelli (Rodney) Hetts of Fort Atkinson and Kristin Seiden (James Gleesing) of Palmyra; two granddaughters, Kaylin and Sarah; two grandsons, Jake and Lucas; two sisters, Kathy (Doug) Weber of Whitewater and Linda Lorman of Palmyra; three brothers, John (Sandy) Robel of Milton, Tim (Leanne) Robel of Greely, Colorado and Daniel Robel of Fort Atkinson.

She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law, two brothers, Allen and David Robel, and one sister, Nancy McDermott. As per MaryLou’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. A private family service is being held. If desired, memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Palmyra. The Olsen Funeral Home in Whitewater is assisting the family.

Martha Christine RIDENOUR

Martha Christine RIDENOUR, age 61, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away, Friday, June 26, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer at Fairhaven in Whitewater, WI.

Marty was born in Freeport, Illinois on April 14, 1948, the daughter of Carl L. and Margaret E. (Ostler) Miller. She graduated from Winslow High School in 1966 and attended Highland Community College, Freeport, Illinois in 1968. Marty married Steven Dee Ridenoiur, August 10, 1969 in Winslow, Illinois. To this marriage two daughters were born. While living in Sheyboygan Falls, WI, Marty worked at Falls Mutual Insurance Company, Nemschoff Chairs Furniture Co., and was a member of the Falls First United Methodist Church, and the Falls Jaycettes. She later moved to Plymouth, MN where she worked for Toro and was an active member of the United Church of Christ Church. Marty recently moved to Whitewater, Wisconsin and worked for Weiler Corp. She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ and was an active member/advocate for ovarian cancer.

Surviving are: Her Children: Cheryl Sue (Joseph) Jicha, New Berlin, WI, and Lauren D. (Jonathan Silvers) Marshall, Fargo, ND, 5 Grandchildren: Alexandra, Mikayla, Gabriel, Mueller and Huro Silvers and Joseph Jicha Jr., Brother: Mark (Kristina) Miller, Centerville, MA, Schenecktaty, NY, and Two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at 4:00PM at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Whitewater, WI. Burial will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in the Plainview Cemetery, Mount Morris, Illinois. Friends may call after 2:00PM on Tuesday at the church until the services. Those planning and expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family for a project in Whitewater yet to be determined. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater is assisting the family,

MARK S. VITKUS

MARK S. VITKUS age 62, of Hebron, died on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at his home. He was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on September 16, 1946, the son of Severn J. and Aina (Blad) Vitkus. He married Sharon (Finney) Biskupski on June 11, 1999 in Woodstock, IL. He was a supervisor at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in the custodial department from 1991 until his retirement in 2007. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was awarded the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife – Sharon Vitkus of Hebron, his children – Randy (Denise) Biskupski of Gurnee, IL, Rodney (Ronda) Biskupski of Jefferson and Russell Biskupski of Whitewater; his grandchildren - Ashley and Danny Biskuspki; one brother – Severn (Peg) Vitkus of Sycamore; and nephews – Stuart (Mary) Vitkus, Scott (Ramona) Vitkus and Steven (Karen) Vitkus, all of Sycamore. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Jan Vitkus. In following with Mark's wishes, there will be no visitation or services but a Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Hall in Whitewater. Olsen Funeral Home in Whitewater is assisting the family with arrangements.

Terry Paul Race

Terry Paul Race died on June 24, 2009 at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. Terry was born on September 29, 1955 to Paul and Betty (Risberg) Race in Racine, WI. He graduated from Preble High School, Green Bay, received his Bachelors Degree from UW-Madison and earned his law degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. Terry married Peggy Rudolph on September 12, 2008 at Cravath Lakefront Park in Whitewater and they honeymooned in Germany and France. Terry practiced law in Whitewater and retired from the Marine Corps Reserve as a Major after 20 years of service to his country. He served with the Gulf Company and served in Desert Storm and in Iraq. Terry was a volunteer ombudsman for ESGR(Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve). He enjoyed biking, reading, his dogs and had a passion for cooking. His greatest rewards came from helping others. He was a beloved and devoted husband to Peggy and a Dog Daddy to Jilly and Dakota as well as a Special friend to Dan Friesema. Terry is survived by his wife; Peggy(Whitewater), Mother; Betty Race, Verona, WI, Sister; Susan(William) Polzin, Cincinnati, OH, 4 Nephews and Nieces; Lewis, Kathryn, Joseph and Bethany, Uncles; John(Rita) Race, Elkhorn and Carl Risberg, Madison, WI. Terry leaves behind many special friends and extended family, along with many special memories he shared with his wife. Terry was proceeded in death by his father Paul Race and his "once in a lifetime dog companion", Lounge Dog. There are no services planned at this time. Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in memory of Terry to celebrate his life by giving back to the community in various ways. Contributions may be made to Peggy Race to benefit the "The Terry P. Race Memorial Fund" and sent % The M & I Bank, 104 North 5th Street, P.O. Box 307 Delavan, WI 53115 or to any M & I Branch Location.

Robert "Bob" Nowak

All are welcome to join the family of Robert "Bob" Nowak in a celebration of his life on June 28th from 2-5pm at the Cravath Lake Community Center.
Bob passed away March 31, 2009 at his home in Brownsville, TX.

Allan M. Anderson

Allan M. Anderson passed away on July 30, 2009 at Our House Senior Center in Whitewater.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy, two sisters, a brother and a nephew and nieces.
A private family burial will be held.
A memorial fund is being established, in Allan's name, for Alzheimer's research.

Michael Robert CAFFREY

Michael Robert CAFFREY, age 62, of Helenville, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at his home. Mike was born in Superior, Wisconsin on September 7, 1946, the son of William Thomas and Dorothy Ann (Sorensen) Caffrey. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. On May 16, 1968, Mike married Joanne Lund in the New Hope Church in the Town of Oakland, Douglas County, Wisconsin. He worked as a well drilling serviceman. Mike was a member of the Cross Pointe Community Church in Whitewater, WI, taught Sunday School and enjoyed working with kids. He also enjoyed woodworking and was good at solving mechanical problems. He served as Fire Chief for the Hawthorne Wisconsin Fire Department. Also helped with Habitat for Humanity, Rainbow Hospice, and Big Brothers and Big Sister of Jefferson County. Surviving are: Wife: Joanne M. Caffrey, Helenville, WI, Son: Neil (Kathy) Caffrey, Fort Atkinson, WI, Daughter: Brenda (Eric Crowe) Johnson, Hayward, WI, Grandchildren: Joe, Amanda, Jeff and Paige, Brother: Dick (Dianne) Caffrey, Superior, WI, Brother: Pat (Peg) Caffrey, Trempealeau, WI, and Sister: Barb (Mike) Fisher, Superior, WI. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom Caffrey. Friends may call from 10:00AM till Noon on Monday, August 3, 2009 at the Cross Pointe Community Church, 445 N. Warner Road, Whitewater, Wisconsin. A luncheon will be held at Noon followed by Funeral Services at 1:00PM with Pastor Russ Walker officiating. Friends may also call from 7-9PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th St., Superior, Wisconsin. Burial will be at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Gordon Memorial Cemetery, Gordon, Wisconsin. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the National Kidney Foundation. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, Wisconsin is assisting the family.
