ALLISON
Cecille Jeanette Allison, 85, of Convoy, died at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1917, in Mendon, the daughter of the late Orville D. and Nora B. (Reed) Foley. On January 26, 1936, she married Harold D. Allison, who died October 3, 1982.
Mrs. Allison was a homemaker and farmed for many years with her husband. She was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a loving mother who taught laughter and good values for living to her children.
Survivors include two sons, Robert W. (Kay) Allison of Convoy and Pauld D. (Beckie) Allison of Clearlake near Fremont, Ind.; three daughters, Linda (Charles) Baer and Beverly K. Allison, both of Convoy, and Betty Jo (Malcolm) Banta of Holland, Mich.; two sisters, Lillian (Walter) Hartsock of Convoy and Ruth (Nolan) Burley of Van Wert; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick James Foley, and four sisters, Bernice I. Putman, Lucille Cox, Esther Scott and Mabel Marie Dull.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Convoy United Methodist Church, the Rev. Gregory Leigh officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Cowan & Son Stainfield Memorial Home in Convoy and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made on her behalf to Convoy UM Church or the Convoy EMS squad.

RENNER
Orman L. Renner, 84, of Gomer, died at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
He was born April 11, 1918, in Mandale, the son of the late Oscar and Jessie (Caskey) Renner. In 1945, he married Margaret Jane Lewis, who died May 12, 1993. He later married Margaret Lloyd, who survives in Gomer.
Mr. Renner was a farmer for 65 years, working with his father and two brothers. He also was employed for a short time at the Ford Engine Plant in Lima. He was a member of the Gomer United Church of Christ, Gomer Dads Club and Lima Farmers' Club. He attended Gomer School. For 25 years, he was a director of the Allen County Fair Board. He was grand marshal of the fair parade in 2000, which honored him for his service to the organization. He loved the Gomer community, friends and family, gardening and traveling, especially to Ohio fairs and antique car shows and parades.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Linda (David) Whittington of Gomer; five sisters, Methel Benroth of Bluffton, Mary (Dave) Humphreys of Gomer, Helen Lewis of Lima, Norma (Lewis) Martz of Cairo and Margie (Tom) Bourne of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother, John (Deloris) Renner of Gomer; a daughter-in-law, Jill Renner; a sister-in-law, Carol Renner; three grandchildren, Cynthia (Scott) Neubert, Traci (Bart) Wheeler and Jerrod Renner; two great-grandsons, Evan and Alex Neubert, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Allan Keith Renner, who died February 16, 2002; one brother, Dale Renner, and two brothers-in-law, Richard E. Lewis and Merlin Benroth.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. Brian Knoderer officiating. Burial will be in Pike Run Cemetery in Gomer.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made on Mr. Renner's behalf to Gomer United Church of Christ.

HEITKAMP
Connie S. Heitkamp, 66, of Rockford, died at 9:19 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, where she had been a patient.
She was born June 28, 1936, in Rockford, the daughter of the late Carl E. and Edith L. (Caywood) Stetler. On July 28, 1956, she married Albert L. Heitkamp, who survives.
Mrs. Heitkamp had lived in Rockford all her life and was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Rockford. She was retired from Tu-Way Products in Rockford and has also been a beautician and homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Mark (Tina) Heitkamp of Rockford; one daughter, Vickie (Kevin) Fultz of Portage, Mich.; two brothers, Dick (Joan) Stetler of Rockford and Ron (Hope) Stetler of Fairfield, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald "Butch" Stetler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Rockford, with Father Thomas Brenberger and Father Thomas Huff officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Heitkamp's name to the American Cancer Society of Mercer County.

KINTZ
Mabel A. Kintz, 96, of Van Wert, died at 11:31 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born October 25, 1906, in Hoaglin Township in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Perry L. and Ethel (Coil) Brown. On June 22, 1927, she married Eugene G. Kintz, who died January 4, 1979.
Mrs. Kintz was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, for which she researched and wrote the church history and her husband provided the pictures. She was also a member of the church Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Catholic Hour Study Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Van Wert Woman's Club, Chautauqua Club and Garden Study Club.
Survivors include a son, Jack Kintz, of New Haven, Ind.; one daughter, Peg Kimball of Columbus; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Joseph M. Schmelzer officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, where a parish rosary service will be conducted at 7:45 that evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to a charity of donor's choice.

McMASTERS
Bernard E. McMasters, 82, of Willis, Texas, and formerly of Hudson, Ind., died Friday, January 3, 2003, at Conroe, Texas.
He was born January 25, 1920, in Venedocia, the son of the late Paul and Vallie (Monroe) McMasters. On June 13, 1942, he married Anna Mary Hoffman, who survives.
Mr. McMasters retired from Weiker Grain Company in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of Harvey Lewis Post 348, American Legion, in Ohio City.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gene McMasters of Willis, Texas; two grandsons, John McMasters aboard the USS Kitty Hawk and Paul McMasters of Gatesville, Texas; a great-grandson, Gabriel McMasters, and three cousins, Evelyn Bunton of Marion, Ind., Madonna Langford of Olive Branch, Miss., and Betty Scott of Lima.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Howard Compton of Salem Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Venedocia Cemetery, with military graveside services by Harvey Lewis American Legion Post 348.
There will be no calling hours.

RINARD
Robert Vaughn Rinard Jr., 87, of Van Wert, died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
He was born May 29, 1915, in Findlay, the son of the late Robert V. Sr. and Grace (Barnt) Rinard. On June 6, 1938, he married Marcile Brickner, who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Rinard was employed by Central Insurance Companies from 1947-1975, retiring from the company as vice president of automobile underwriting. In 1977, he was appointed director of what was then the Van Wert County Welfare Department, a position he held until January 1, 1990, when he again retired. He had also been chairman of the county Selective Service Board (draft board) from 1948-1971. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and was a graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. He had attended Giffin College in Van Wert. Mr. Rinard was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II and earned the Bronze Star Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, Disabled American Veterans, Elks Lodge 1197, Knights of Columbus Council 6034, all in Van Wert. He was a charter member and past president of the Van Wert Area Jaycees, a state trustee to the Ohio Jaycees, Jaycee "Boss of the Year" in 1958, a past president of the Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce in 1963, was campaign chairman for the American Red Cross, YMCA membership drive and Van Wert United Fund. He served on the boards of the YMCA, Van Wert County United Health Foundation, Van Wert County Health Services Council, Van Wert County Comprehensive Mental Health Services Inc., 648 Mental Health/Mental Retardation Board, Ohio Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Comprehensive Health Planning Council.
Survivors include a son, Alan V. (Beth) Rinard of Columbus; four daughters, Elaine (John) Varalla of Huntington Beach, Calif., Kathy (Al) Cook of Dublin, Linda (Doug) Snyder of College Station, Texas, and Debra Rinard of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Katherine Porter and Betty Hoverman, both of Delphos, and eight grandchildren, Barbara (Rinard) Horvath, Michelle (Rinard) Pizzola, Erin (Cook) Niswonder, Leah (Cook) Moreno, Tyler Cook, Christopher Snyder, Eric Snyder and Jason Snyder.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Rinard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the combined honors unit of American Legion Post 178 and VFW Post 5803.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Brickner Funeral Home, where a parish vigil service will be held at 8:45 that evening.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Rinard's name to St. Mary's church or the Van Wert Fire Department EMS squad.

KLINE
Betty B. Kline, 77, of 214 S. Main St., Ohio City, died at 4:20 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born March 17, 1925, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Grover and Louise (Crowe) Stripe. She was married and divorced.
Ms. Kline was a homemaker and had worked at Van Wert Manufacturing and Federal Mogul Corp. She was a member of Ohio City Church of God.
Survivors include a son, Ronald D. (Paula) Kline of Van Wert; two daughters, Betty Lou (Larry) Foster of Van Wert and Kathy (Greg) Edsall of Ohio City; one brother, Franklin D. (Martha) Stripe of Van Wert; a sister, Bonnie L. (Terry) Dienstberger of Delphos; a half-sister, Marjorie Paskowski of Michigan; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Stripe, Robert Stripe and Junior Grover Stripe; two half-brothers, Eugene Stripe and John Leroy Paige; a sister, Catherine Conley, and a half-sister, Margaret Browning.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Matthew Braun of Ohio City Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio City EMS squad.
