Mattie Hershberger
DUNDEE -- Mattie Hershberger, 89, 11031 Chestnut Ridge Road, died early Sunday morning, Aug. 8, 1999, at her home after a brief illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Jacob Keim officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Family Cemetery, Wayne Township, Tuscarawas County.
Friends may call anytime at the residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements.
She was born Sept. 27, 1909 in Holmes County to David and Sarah (Miller) Kurtz and married Abe L. Hershberger on Dec. 18, 1930. He died Sept. 23, 1976.
Surviving are children, Dan Hershberger of Fredericksburg, Eli and David Hershberger and Mrs. Jacob J.J. (Mary) Miller, all of Dundee, Abe Hershberger Jr., Fannie and Sarah Hershberger, all of the home and Levi Hershberger of Wilmot; 31 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. David (Nettie) Raber of Sugarcreek; a brother, Dan Kurtz of Dundee; a stepsister, Mrs. Eli (Katie) Mast of Millersburg; and a stepbrother, Dan Troyer of West Union.

Mary Snyder
MILLERSBURG -- Mary Elaine Snyder, 54, 5348 Township Road 321, died Sunday morning, Aug. 8, 1999, at Cleveland Clinic.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Karl Stonebraker officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holmes County Library, Children's Fund, 3102 Glen Drive, Millersburg 44654.
She was born Sept. 11, 1944 in Lorain, Lorain County, to John C. and Mary Ann (Petrovich) Evanoff and married Thomas L. Snyder on July 26, 1969. He survives.
Other survivors include her father, former West Holmes Superintendent John C. Evanoff of Millersburg; a brother, John C. Evanoff Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Swanton; a brother-in-law, Bob White of Millersburg; and nieces, Jennifer Snyder-Wilson of Millersburg and Jean Snyder of Albany.

Carl Tinsler
MARSHALLVILLE -- Carl I. Tinsler, 88, 10369 Fulton Road, died Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 1999, at his home after a long illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Crown Hill Mennonite Church near Rittman, with the Revs. Richard Ross and Jerry Burton officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Church Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 7-9 at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691; or to Gideons International, P.O. Box 16, Orrville 44667.
He was born Dec. 7, 1910 in Marshallville to Albert and Elizabeth (Zollinger) Tinsler and married Erma Shoup on Dec. 31, 1936 near Mount Eaton. She died Feb. 8, 1990.
Surviving are children and their spouses, Paul and Sandy Tinsler of Vassmer, N.C., Velma and Ed Brotherton of Kent, Mary Giffin of Smithville, Anna and Ray Terry of Midlothian, Va., Marie and Alvin Brenneman of Orrville, Irene Griffith of Rittman and Gladys Tinsler of Marshallville; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Tinsler and his wife, Jetta, of Brewster; and sisters, Esther Harmon of Rittman, Clara Tinsler of Colorado and Bertha Kiser and her husband, Henry, of North Lawrence.

Bradley McClain
KILLBUCK --ĘBradley Dale McClain, 28, 39120 County Road 19, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at River View Community Park in Warsaw.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with the Revs. Chris Wells and Ron Davis officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery, where Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars Post will conduct graveside services.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home, or until time of service on Wednesday.
Surviving are twin daughters, Lora E. and Larissa D. McClain of Coshocton and a daughter, Lindsey R. McClain of Millersburg; his parents of Killbuck; brothers and their wives, Jim and Jamie McClain of Big Prairie and Brian and Heidi McClain of Loudonville; a sister Renee Reining and her husband, J.R., of Shreve; grandparents, Sam and Ruth McClain of Brinkhaven and Blanche Reiss of Killbuck; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ida Uhler
WOOSTER -- Ida Mae Uhler, 94, formerly of 929 W. Liberty St., died Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 1999, at West View Manor.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Paul Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be at Eight Square Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mohican Church of the Brethren, 7759 N. Elyria Road, West Salem 44287.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Chester and Sheila Uhler of Newport Richey, Fla.; four grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Meda Sherrick of Wooster and Edna Derr of Ashland.

Glenn Mutchler
DALTON -- Glenn M. Mutchler, Jr., age 67, of Dalton, died unexpectedly Aug. 7, 1999, at Cleveland Clinic.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, with the Revs. Todd and Rebecca Martin and the Rev. John Clark officiating. Burial at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5- 8 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton and also on Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 14795 Wooster St., N.W., N. Lawrence, OH 44666.
Glenn M. Mutchler, Jr. was born Feb. 19, 1932 in Stark County to Glenn and Oda (Senger) Mutchler, Sr. and married Betty Snyder on March 27, 1952. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Betty Mutchler, he is survived by children and their spouses, Susan and Robert Boltz of Cuyahoga Falls, Robert and Judith Mutchler of Massillon, Jane and Ron Smucker of Dalton, Hope and John Siegenthaler of Florida; grandchildren, Bryce Boltz of Cuyahoga Falls, Ben, Desiree, Sharalee and Joel Mutchler, all of Massillon, Todd, Kelly, and Kristina Smucker, all of Dalton, Andrew and Aundrea Siegenthaler, both of Florida and a sister, Ethel Mutchler, of North Lawrence.

Mary Perry
WOOSTER -- Mary Elizabeth Perry, 74, 2216 Melrose Dr., died Friday evening, Aug. 6, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Graven officiating.
Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the time of service.
She was born Dec. 12, 1924 in Ashland to Sherman and Mabel Irene (Sanford) Derr.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Leggett of Wooster.

Ida Uhler
WOOSTER -- Ida Mae Uhler, 94, formerly of 929 W. Liberty, died Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 1999, at Westview Manor.

She was born on April 9, 1905 in Chester Township to Daniel and Florence (Bowman) Imhoff.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Chester and Sheila of Newport Richey, Fla.; four grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Meda Sherrick of Wooster and Edna Derr of Ashland.

William Mott
LOUDONVILLE -- William Raymond Mott, 33, of 564 State Route 95, died early Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 1999, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident near Loudonville.
Mr. Mott was born Sept. 24, 1965 in Ashland, the son of Raymond P. and Carol June (Sparr) Mott.
He is survived by his son, Nicholas Raymond Mott and his daughter Audrey Kay Mott, both of Ashland; his mother, Carol (Sparr) Mott of Loudonville, his fiancee, Luann Motter of Loudonville; his sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and William Hines of Loudonville, and his nieces, Abigail R. and Caitlin M. Hines, both of Loudonville.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Alan Smearsoll of Trinity Lutheran church, Jeromesville, officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Lake Township, Ashland County.
Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.

Samantha Wharton
WARSAW -- Samantha Renee Wharton, the infant daughter of Daniel Thomas Wharton II and Theresa Kay Bush of 644 Railroad St., Warsaw, was stillborn on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, with the Rev. John A. Gray officiating. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Free Funeral Home, 788 S. Second St., Coshocton.
Surviving in addition to her mother and father are a brother, Gregory Bayne and a sister, Kaitlin Bush, both of Warsaw; grandparents, Marianne Austin of Coshocton, Daniel Thomas Wharton of Wooster, Michael Bush and wife, Pam of Canton, and Sandra Ledbetter and husband, David of Vineland, N.J.; great-grandparents, Mabel Over of Wooster and Earl and Jackie Bush of Canton, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Atlee Beachy
DUNDEE -- Atlee B. Beachy, 86, of 8243 Nebraska Road, died Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 1999, in the residence of his niece, Mrs. Henry A. (Melinda) Yoder, where he had resided for 24 years, following a four month illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Yoder residence, with the Bishop Monroe M. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Beachy Cemetery in Walnut Creek Township.
Friends may call anytime after noon on Sunday at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
He was born Feb. 26, 1913 in Holmes County to Benjamin B. and Veronica (Hershberger) Beachy.
Surviving is a brother, Emanuel Beach of Walnut Creek and a number of additional nieces and nephews.

Mary Kline
FREDERICKSBURG -- Mary Ann Kline, 91, of 8954 County Road 235, died Friday, Aug. 6, at her residence, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with the Bishop John J.C. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Kline Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.
She was born on March 23, 1908 in Berlin to Jerry and Lydia (Raber) Schlabach and on Jan. 31, 1929 she married David E. Kline. He died on March 10, 1993.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John M. (Ada) Miller of Ossineke, Mich. and Mrs. Andy C. (Barbara Ann) Weaver of Dundee; four sons, Jerry and Paul of Fredericksburg, Vernon of Shreve, and David of the home; 34 grandchildren and 92 great-grandchildren; and one stepsister, Mrs. Andy E. (Susie) Yoder of Millersburg.

Erdine Mishler
WALNUT CREEK -- Erdine Horrisberger Mishler, 83, of Walnut Creek, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at her residence.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Ross Miller officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, and Monday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Walnut Creek Mennonite Church Building Fund, in care of Stanley E. Yoder, 214 Rhine St., Sugarcreek 44681.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1915 in Trail to John D. and Mattie (Mast) Hostetler and married Roger Horrisberger. He died in 1973. She then married Howard Mishler. He died in 1988.
Surviving are her sons, Philip (Barb) Horrisberger of Wadsworth, William Horrisberger of Atlanta, Ronald (Nancy) Mishler of Walnut Creek, William (Karen) Mishler of Bloomfield, N.J., Duane (Gloria) Mishler of Berlin, and her daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Kathy) Yoder of Sugarcreek and Mrs. Doris Nussbaum of Dalton; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a brother, Moses J. (Mae) Hostetler of Trail.

Jo Hayes
WOOSTER -- Jo Ann Hayes, 87, formerly of 311 E. South St., Wooster, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 4, 1999, at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster, where she had resided since July 1998.
Private services will be held at the request of the family. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.
Arrangements are being handled by Custer Funeral Home in Wooster.
She married John R. Hayes on Oct. 17, 1936 in Wooster. He died June 26, 1964.
Surviving are five brothers, Anthony "Tony" Jr., William and Ray Bursani, all of Wooster, Rudolph and Albert Bursani, both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Zapponi of Orrville, Mrs. Thomas (Amy) Dulaney of Akron, Mrs. Harold (Rose) May and Lucille Coblentz, both of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.

Sarah Yoder
DALTON -- Sarah J. Yoder, 82, formerly of Zuercher Road, Dalton, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Alex Troyer residence, 6389 Zuercher Road, with Bishop Harry Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Paint Township, Wayne County.
Friends may call anytime after 4 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Troyer residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
