Suso of Doylestown; grandparents, Julian and Catherine Suso of Akron, John G. and Helen Kelly of Barberton; uncles, Julian (Stephanie) Suso of Mentor, John (Anna Marie) Kelly of Medina, Tom Kelly of Seattle, Wash., Jim (Julie) Kelly of Bar Harbor, Maine; aunts, Susan Suso of Akron, Katherine Kelly of East Cleveland, Gina Kelly of Bar Harbor, Maine, Sheila (Dave) Roberts of Tallmadge, Mary (Tom) Glass of Seal Harbor, Maine, Patricia Bell of Barberton, Margaret (John) Sarlouis of Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 12 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Doylestown, Fr. David McCarthy celebrant. Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown. Vigil service Sunday 4:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Womankind Prenatal Care Center, 5400 Transportation Blvd. Suite 10, Garfield Heights, OH 44125.

Vera Willis
AKRON -- Vera L. Willis, 90, 535 Mohawk Ave., died Thursday, Dec. 21, at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville with the Rev. Randy Gehres officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Friends may call Monday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. She married John Thomas Willis on May 10, 1928. He died in 1968. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lyn (Thomas) Burkey of Akron; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

ASHLAND -- Michael T. Gribben, 434 Snader Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Willard Mercy Hospital, Willard. Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Phleuger officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home in Ashland. Surviving are his parents, James and Melonie (Besser) Gribben of Ashland; his fiancee, Jenny Randall of Ashland; grandparents, Ray and Eileen Moyer of Ashland and grandmother, Harriet F. Norris of Ashland.

Joseph Griffith
DOYLESTOWN -- Retired Army Lt. Col. Joseph K. Griffith, 70, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. David McCarthy officiating. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Jan. 8. Friends may call today (Sunday) from 7-9 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown. Rosary will be tonight (Sunday) at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown 44230. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Margaret Elizabeth (Dillon) Griffith; sons and daughters-in-law, Firth and Yuqing Li Griffith of Palo Alto, Calif., Frank and Jane Griffith of Medina; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Griffith Davis and Mark Davis of Emory, Va., Drs. Sharon Griffith Stern and Kenneth Stern of Doylestown, Andrea and John Deshaye of Olympia, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Eileen McNamara and Carole Zartman, both of Mansfield, and Diane Sinerson of California.

Daniel Bellman
AKRON -- Daniel D. Bellman, 58, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at Wooster Community Hospital, after fighting a battle with cancer. Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Billow Lakes Chapel, 472 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron with the Rev. Keith Snyder officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home or one hour before the service on Tuesday. He is survived by his mother, Esther D. (Mumaugh) Bellman; his fiancee, Rose Marie Massie; a son, Curtis (Tina) Bellman; daughters, Crystal Bellman and Carman (Don) Seabeck; grandchildren, Chrissie Bellman, Nanette Bellman, Daniel Bellman and Rebecca Taylor and sisters, Margie (Glenn) Hoppe and Nancy Murray. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and good friends.

Lauryn and Nathan Hamilton
RITTMAN -- Nathan Jacob Hamilton and Lauryn Ciara Hamilton, infant son and daughter of Christopher J. and Nicole M. (Martyn) Hamilton, of 24 Brookside Dr., died soon after birth Thursday, Dec. 31, at Akron General Medical Center. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Knupp's Church in Rittman Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Hackworth officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Gillman Funeral Home. Surviving in addition to their parents are grandparents, Butch and Kim Martyn of Akron, Les and Vickie Hamilton and Chris and Vickie Hartlaub, all of Rittman, and several great-grandparents.

David Jacobs
WOOSTER -- David Isaac Jacobs, infant son of Neal K. and Lorrane D. "Lorri" Jacobs, of Wooster, died at birth on Friday, Jan. 1, at Wooster Community Hospital. Private graveside services will be at Wooster Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the children's charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home. Surviving in addition to the parents are brothers, Reuben and Aaron Jacobs, both of the home; maternal grandparents, Terry and Sharron Brace of Evansville, Ind.; paternal grandparents, Ronald and Sandra Jacobs of Pittsburgh, Pa.; maternal great-grandmothers, Helen Berry of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jean Way of Vincennes, Ind.; paternal great-grandmothers, Sadie Jacobs and Bess Kaufmann, both of Pittsburgh; and several aunts and uncles.

Barbara Flath
DALTON -- Barbara Ann (Timmerman) Flath, age 72, died January 1, 1999, at Aultman Hospital, following a long term illness. She is survived by children, Richard Flath of Dalton; Ian Flath of Sacramento, Calif., and Penni (Flath) Gottfried of Dalton; grandchildren, Katherine, Allison, and Kory Flath, all of North Canton, and Jessica Kaser of Dalton and Canal Fulton; and a brother, Rev. John L. Timmerman of Coral Springs, Fla. Memorial services will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Myers officiating. Burial is at Dalton Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dalton Volunteer Fire Dept. or the American Heart and Lung Association; or to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church; or Wittenburg University.

Clark Nave
LOUDONVILLE -- Clark E. Nave, 72, of 339 N. Jefferson St., died Friday, Jan. 1, in the emergency room of MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, after a sudden illness. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary L. Pollock officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars at the funeral home. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Church, 124 N. Market St., Loudonville 44842 or Ashland County Heart Branch, in care of the funeral home. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sonya Nave of Elizabethton, Tenn., daughters and son-in-law, Ruth Ann Allen, and Lisa and David Nickles, all of Loudonville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, George and Howard "Hezzy" Nave, both of Loudonville.

Grace Copley
ASHLAND -- Grace M. Copley, 96, 1148 Smith Road, and formerly of Rittman died Friday, Jan. 1, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman with the Rev. Bret Deffenbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, 622 Center St., Ashland 44805. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Willard (Susie) Wilson of Ashland; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild and a sister, Elsie Ferguson of Genoa, W.Va.

Clara Beathler
PERRYSVILLE -- Clara M. Beathler, 86, formerly of 121 W. Second St., died Thursday evening, Dec. 31, in Winchester Terrace Nursing Home in Mansfield, after a long illness. Services will be Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Lor Breyley officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Perrysville. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 111 E. Lawrence Trout
WOOSTER -- Lawrence E. Trout, 69, of 705 N. Grant St., died Friday, Jan. 1, at Seaman Corp, where he was a security guard. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home in Wooster with the Rev. J. William Lofgren officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Laura Ann Heflin of Akron; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Holly and Robert Rauch of Marietta; and several grandchildren.

Robert Snure
WOOSTER -- Robert D. Snure, 85, formerly of Impala St., Wooster, died Saturday, Jan. 2, at Glendora Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Sanford officiating. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., 4815 Munson St. N. W., Canton 44718. Surviving are his son, Randy Snure and son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Vickie Snure, all of Wooster; a granddaughter, Jennifer Snure of Wooster, and a sister, Mabel Zimmerman of Smithville.

Beverly Braun
WOOSTER -- Beverly M. Braun, 58, 1811 Saddlebrook Circle, died Saturday, Jan. 2, at Wooster Community Hospital. Funeral service of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home with the Father John Mueller officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wayne County Unit, care of Wooster Clinic, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Cynthia Braun of Okemos, Mich.; a granddaughter, Nicole Cynthia Braun; a sister, Bobbie Jayne (Wade) Miller of Millersburg, and a brother, William L. Smith of Minot, N.D.

Margaret Fish
CHATHAM -- Margaret C. Fish, 81, of Chatham, died Friday, Jan. 1, at Meadowview Care Center in Seville, after a lengthy illness. She was the mother of Glenn (Barbara) Fish of Lodi. Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with the Rev. Randy K'Myer officiating. Burial will be at Chatham Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lodi Community Hospital; or to the Alzheimer's Association for research. Surviving in addition to her son, are another son, Roland (Donna) Fish of Medina; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, a brother, Clyde Martin, died previously.

Judy Shearer
BALTIC -- Judy A. Shearer, 59, 9995 Ragersville Road, died Sunday morning, Jan. 3, at her residence after an extended illness. Memorial services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Sugarcreek Free Methodist Church, with the Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. The body has been cremated. Arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek. Surviving in addition to her husband, Jim, are sons, Kip (Connie) Shearer of Ragersville and Kim (Kristi) Shearer of Sugarcreek; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Midge Geib of California.

Lizzie Miller
MILLERSBURG -- Lizzie Miller, 80, 5768 County Road 77, died Sunday morning, Jan. 3, at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg, after a brief illness. Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Raymond Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek is handling arrangements. Surviving are a daughter, Miriam Miller of the home; brothers, Henry E. Mast of Hestand, Ky., and Jacob E.J. Mast of Millersburg; and sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Mary Ann) Kline and Mrs. Levi (Susan) Keim, both of Millersburg.

Mary Purdy
KILLBUCK -- Mary Fern Purdy, 85, of Killbuck, died Saturday morning, Jan. 2, 1999, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, after an extended illness. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Gerald Craycraft officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Debra Kaser of Killbuck; sisters-in-law, Ruth Patterson and Dorothy Purdy, both of Killbuck; nieces, Phyllis Taylor of Killbuck and Jeanette Wise of Millersburg; six great-nieces and nephews; and six great-great-nieces and nephews.

J. Raymond Piper
WOOSTER -- J. Raymond Piper, 89, 1922 Sherman Road, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at his home. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster, with the Rev. Dale Sanford officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Surviving are nephews, Carl R. Laughlin of Canal Fulton, Robert Laughlin of Massillon, Raymond Laughlin of Greenville and Gene Schaaf of Cheyenne, Wyo.
