Kenneth Wayne Cross
Kenneth Wayne Cross, 77, of Stoneburg, TX, passed away June 19, 2003 at Harris Methodist Hospital.
Mr. Cross was born May 15, 1926 in Stoneburg, TX . He married Mary Jo Croxton on March 22, 1947 in Montague, TX. He was a carpenter and a member of Reddy-McClellan VFW Post #8789 in Bowie, TX. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Graveside services for Mr. Cross were held Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. at Hopewell Cemetery in Stoneburg, TX with Rev. Larry Kennedy officiating. Services were directed by Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Linda Reed, Thackerville, OK; three sons, Richard Wayne Cross, LaPlace, LA, Robert Neal Cross, Glendale, AZ, Timothy Leon Cross, Terral, OK; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one sister, Marion Menefee, Glendale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Cross in 1989; one son, James Henry Cross in 1979; and one great grandson, Christoper Belcher.
Honorary pallbearers included: Gary Prater, Jake Jordan, Joe Hensley, and Leroy Schram.

Gladys Faye Lynch George
Gladys Faye Lynch George, 86, of Alvord, TX passed away June 3, 2003 in Decatur.
Mrs. George married Cecil George on July 4, 1937. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the honor sorority, Delta Psi Kappa. She was a member of the Alvord Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mrs. George were held on Thursday, June 5, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alvord Church of Christ. Interment was at Alvord Cemetery under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her sister, Lois Touchstone; three grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil George in 1979; a daughter, Judith Ann Wright; four brothers and one sister.

Mary Alice Breeden
Mary Alice Breeden, 63, of Dallas, TX passed away June 11, 2003 at Dallas, TX.
Mrs. Breeden was born April 5, 1940 to Katherine Sadie Cummings in Montague County. She was a house parent at TK Ranch, and a member of the Ladies Auxillary of Nocona VFW. She had affilliations with First Baptist Church, Sunset, TX and Bible Baptist Church, Nocona, TX.
Funeral services for Mrs. Breeden were held Friday, June 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m with Rev. Ray Vowell officiating. Interment was at Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Alice Ann McLamore, Augusta, GA and Sandy Lee Doby, Dallas, TX; one son, James Earl Breeden, Bowie, TX; two sisters, Maxine Jones, Lewisville, TX, and Lana Tinsley, CA; one brother, Marvin McCubbins, Nocona, TX; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included: John McCubbins, Jr., Lester Hudson, Phillip Merritt, Billy Merritt, Jimbo Hancock, and Rusty Green. Honorary pallbearers included: Residents of TK Ranch.

Jimmy Ray Harmon
Jimmy Ray Harmon, 47, of Stoneburg, TX passed away June 12, 2003 in Bowie, TX.
Mr. Harmon was born December 31, 1955 to Bobbie Lee and Jimmie Delbert Harmon in Dallas, TX. He married Kolleen Blackwell February 17, 2001 in Stoneburg, TX. He was a yard man at Bowie Livestock Commission and a member of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services for Mr. Harmon were held Monday, June 16, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Stoneburg Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Kennedy officiating. Interment was at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Kolleen Harmon, Stoneburg, TX; six sons, Michael Ray Harmon, Dallas, TX, Jeffrey Delbert Harmon, Justin Sonny Fomby, and Anthony Ray Harmon, all of Stoneburg, TX, Jimi Joe Fomby and Clint Fomby, both of Houston, TX; two grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Watson, Mesquite, TX, and Bobbie Lynn Delany, Arlington, TX; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Delbert Harmon and Bobbie Lee Harmon.
Pallbearers included: Tommy Ray Throckmorton, Brandon Fischer, Adam Cooper, Jimmy Johnson, Corey Billinges, Daniel Case, Jeremy Ringstaff, Toby Lippincott. Honorary pallbearers included: Raymond Cooper, Charles Hubbs, Steven Taylor, Melvin Sigman, Jeffrey Harmon, Albert L. Faulk and James M. Smith.

Rosie Idell Pillow
Rosie Idell Pillow, age 93, of Bowie, TX, passed away August 3, 2003.
Mrs. Pillow was born February 25, 1910 in Light, AR. She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Houston, TX before moving to Bowie 26 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ faith.
Graveside services for Mrs. Pillow were held on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with David Hall officiating. Interment was under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Virginia Pillow Hughes, Bowie, TX; three sons, Hershel, Tommy, and Bobby Pillow, all of Porter, TX; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Virgil Pillow in 1955 and three sons, Harry, Leon, and Billy Pillow.

Iva Beatrice Timmons Stricklin
Iva Beatrice Timmons Stricklin, age 88, of San Antonio, TX, passed away July 31, 2003 in San Antnio, TX.
Mrs. Stricklin was born January 26, 1915 in Cheneyville, IL to Fleta May Gaskill and Ralph Leo Sticklin. She married Ralph Leo Stricklin and was a 30 year member of Delta Rho Delta Nation Sorority, Theta Chapter.
Graveside services for Mrs. Stricklin were held Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in Nocona Cemetery. Services were directed by Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: three children, Jenny Fultz and Chris Spear, both of San Antonio, TX, and Ellen Hunter, Twisp, WA; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Leo Stricklin in 1967.

Juan Jaime Capuchina
Juan Jaime Capuchina, age 33, of Bowie, TX, passed away July 26, 2003 in Lawrence County, MO.
Mr. Capchina was born February 12, 1970 in Zaragoza, Mexico to Juan Capuchina and Angelina Zamora Cardenas. He married Cheryl Lynn Landers on July 14, 1991 in Montague. He lived most of life in Montague County. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in Operation Desert Storm.
Funeral services for Mr. Capuchina were held Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Forestburg Baptist Church with Rev. Stewart Holloway officiating. Interment was at Perryman Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Cheryl Capuchina, Forestburg, TX; three sons, Kelton, Rhys and Raleigh Capuchina, Forestburg, TX; his parents, Angelina Cardenas, Freistatt, MO; step father, Rojelio Lopez, Valley View, TX; three sisters, Leticia Holland, Aubrey, TX, Norma Frago, San Diego, CA, Lucerito Cuervas, Monet, MO; three brothers, Cesar Capuchina and Rojelio Lopez, both of Monet, MO, and Luis Capuchina, Greece; and a beloved friend, Ricky Landers, Forestburg, TX. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Isabel Capuchina.
Pallbearers included: Bryan Stradley, Ricky Landers, Billy Covington, Shannon Hammer, Dee Bell, Vernon Forrester.

Gwendoline Briggs "Wendy" Biznett
Gwendoline Briggs "Wendy" Biznett, age 40, passed away June 15, 2003 at Torrey, Utah.
Ms. Biznett was born January 27, 1963 in Denver, CO to Virginia and Bobby S. Briggs. She lived in Las Vegas, NV and was a cocktail waitress.
Graveside Committal services for Ms. Biznett were held Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jamie Reed officiating. Burial was under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her parents, Bobby S. and Virginia Briggs, Bowie, TX; three sisters, Patti Briggs, Grapevine, TX, Linda Briggs, Grand Prairie, TX and Jacquline Briggs, New York; two brothers, Bobby W. Briggs, Bowie, TX and Kenneth Briggs, Garland, TX; one great uncle, Aulton Briggs, Duncan, OK; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark Wayne Keener
Mark Wayne Keener, age 33, passed away July 3, 2003 in Muenster, TX.
Mr. Keener was born March 3, 1970 in Atlanta, TX to Shirley Odell (Holt) and Clifford Clifton Keener. He was an operator for Hacker Brothers Well Service.
Graveside services for Mr. Keener were held Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Keith Rodgers officiating. Burial was under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his mother, Shirley Keener, Muenster, TX; his daughter, Mercedez Ti Ann Marie Keener, Muenster, TX; two sisters, LaVonna Blankenship, Eastland, TX and Shelia Holloway, Saint Jo, TX; two brothers, Jack Keener and Robert Keener, both of Muenster, TX; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Clifton Keener and one son, Mark Wayne Keener, Jr.
