Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Mrs. Ruth Davidson Bickford:
A native of St. Louis, MO and a resident of Spanish Ft., AL for the past 8 years died Monday, December 6, 1999 at West Minister Village. Mrs. Bickford was a former resident of Mobile, AL and a former resident of Pensacola, FL. She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College for Women, she was employed at Brookley Field and retired from the CNET Staff of the Pensacola Naval Air Station and after retirement moved back to Mobile and worked at the Bellingrath Gardens Home. Mrs. Bickford is survived by two daughters, Barbara Bickford (John) Lee of Mobile and Nancy B. (Tommy) Grantham of Pensacola, FL; one brother, George Davidson of Grove City, CA; four grandchildren, John R. Lee, Jeff S. Lee both Of Mobile, AL, Todd R. Grantham and Christopher S. Grantham, both of Pensacola, FL; two great-grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum at Pine Crest Cemetery on Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at 3:00pm. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:30pm until 2:30pm. Entombment will be in the Chapel of The Pine Mausoleum at Pine Crest Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606.

Mr. Scott Anthony Bullen:
A native of Mobile, AL and resident of Orange Beach, AL died Saturday, December 4, 1999. He is survived by his father, James E. Bullen, III of Orange Beach; mother, Mary Lou Kalifeh Bullen of Mobile; maternal grandmother, Mabel Kalifeh of Mobile; sister, Leann (Robbie) Stokes of Saraland; 2 brothers, Michael J. Bullen of Orange Beach and James E. (Susan) Bullen, IV of Baton Rouge, LA; two nieces, Stephanie and Kaitlin; one nephew, Jacob; several uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 9 at 2 p.m. a t Pine Crest Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1PM. Hazel Elouise Carlisle:
A native of Blodgette, MS and a resident of Mt. Vernon died Sunday, December 5, 1999. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. There will be a two hour visitation prior to service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are by SERENITY FUNERAL HOME, 8691 Old Pascagoula RD, Mobile, AL.

Ruth N. Carlton:
A native of Cornersville, TN and a resident of Mobile, AL died Monday, December 6, 1999. She is survived by three children, Virginia "Ginger" (Robert) Funsch of Spanish Ft., AL, Lynnwood Major (Marie) Stevenson of Ocean Springs, MS, and Ruth Ann (Robert) Dunbar of Spanish Ft., AL; four grandchildren, Julie P. Reese of Slidell, LA, Lynnwood Charles Stevenson of Texas, Crystal Leigh Stevenson of Ocean Springs, MS, and Brian Matthew Dunbar of Spanish Ft., AL; three great-grandchildren, Mason Ellis Reese of Slidell, LA, Tanner Christian Reese of Slidell, LA and Lynnwood Stevenson of Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8, 1999 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Serenity Funeral Home. Funeral services will be December 9, 1999 at 12:00 noon from the Chapel. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are by SERENITY FUNERAL HOME, 8691 Old Pascagoula RD, Mobile, AL.

Genevieve Leibert Flood:
75, died December 4, 1999 after a brief illness. Jenny was born in Mobile, AL on October 2, 1924. She was the loving mother of Steven (Marie), Bradley (Cynthia), David and Alan (Maresa) and the wife of 53 years to John. She was a loving grandma to Tony, Steven, Jr., Therese, Caleb and Shauna. Jenny met her husband in April 1943 when he was a senior at University of Florida and she was an 18 yr old from Mobile, AL going to Government sponsored Radio School for the Army Air Corp. She was married on April 6, 1946 at a Navy chapel near Seattle, WA., before taking permanent residence in Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by her brother, Archibald J. Leibert, Jr. and four sisters, Marie Ankerson, Marilyn Leibert, Susan Roberts and Jacqueline Davis, all from Mobile, AL. A Celebration Mass will be held 10:30 AM Thurs day, December 9, 1999 at Christ The King Catholic Church with Fr. Conrad Cowart, Celebrant. A Rosary will be said 5:30 PM Wednesday (Today) in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. with Fr. Robert McDermott. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home following the Rosary. Arrangements by Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32208.

Mr. Milton R. Huffman:
A native and lifelong resident of Mobile County, AL died Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at a local hospital. Mr. Huffman retired from Scott Paper Company after 35 years of service. He is survived by three brothers, Ralph Huffman, Roland Huffman and Joel Huffman all of Grand Bay, AL; one sister, Roberta Rials Collop of Grand Bay, AL; his longtime companion Wayne Ray of Mobile, AL; nieces, nephews, others relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 1999 at 10:00am from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00pm. Interment will take place in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are by SERENITY FUNERAL HOME, 8691 Old Pascagoula RD, Mobile, AL.

Deac on Willie Jackson (Pee Wee):
Born September 16, 1929 in Bessemer, AL. He boarded his cloud to glory on Friday, December 3, 1999. He spent his childhood in Jackson, Alabama and was a resident of Mobile for over 60 years. Deacon Jackson was the third of five children born to Aaron Jackson and Mamie Smith Fortner. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Aaron; one sister, Daisy Ann and his son Michael. He accepted Christ at an early age and upon moving to Mobile united with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. John W. Wright. He was a retired veteran of 23 years and a retired civil servant from Brookley Field and Keesler Air Force Base. He was recently employed by Pinkerton Securities. He leaves to cherish a devoted wife and friend of 47 years, Lena Clark Jackson; four sons, Paul, Cleon, Ronald (Charlene) and Joseph (Elaine) Jackson all of Mobile, AL; three daughters, Janet (Lonnie) Street of Marietta, GA, Marie (Moses) Miller of San Ramon, California and Darlene (Aaron) Eaton of Mobile, AL; one brother, Glover (Lottie) Fortner of Prichard, AL; one sister, Rosie Ann Winston of Houston, TX; devoted uncle and aunt, Thomas and Lillie Hendon of Mobile; three sisters-in-law, Mary York and Delores Clark of Brooklyn, NY and Susie Drawn of Mobile, AL; three brothers-in-law, Calvin Clark of Newark, NJ, P.L. Clark of Mobile, AL and Ernest Clark of New York City, NY; 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a host of devoted cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. God-children are Hilda Jackson, Shannda Smith, Serita Staten, Lynnita Cotten and Toya Jackson, a loving and devoted god-mother Mary Stewart. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, 1999 from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour of 11 a.m. at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 545 Cody Road North, Rev. John F. Payne, Sr., Pastor. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to HODGES FUNERAL CHAPEL, 701 Dr. M. L. King Ave, Mobile, AL 36603.
