Helen M. Howell:
A native of Huntsville, AL and a resident of Irvington, AL died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999 at a local hospital. She is survived by one daughter, Mary L. Trotter of Mobile, AL; 4 siblings, W.O. Taylor of Alex City, AL, Charles Taylor of California, Lila Clark of Sun Prairie, WI, and Robert L. Taylor of Richmond, TX; 3 grandchildren, Melisa A. Trotter, Jennifer Marie Trotter and John C. Sweat, all of Mobile, AL, one great grandchild, Devan Bruce Trotter of Mobile, AL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999 at 12:00 noon from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home followed by interment at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are by SERENITY FUNERAL HOME, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd, Mobile, AL.

Wiley Woodrow Johnston:
A native of Fayette County, AL, a past resident of Grand Bay, AL and currently residing in Oxford, MS died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999. A past employee of Brookley AFB and Teledyne Continental Motors, he was a longtime member of the Grand Bay Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his wife, Etta O. Johnston. He is survived by one daughter, Glenda Hendrix of Oxford, MS; 2 sons, Gordon Johnston of Cary, NC and Joe Johnston of Reno, NV; 2 sisters, Lois Fowler, of Mobile, AL and Agnes Dodd of Winfield, AL; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by SERENITY FUNERAL HOME, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd, Mobile, AL.

Mrs. Joyce Long Keller:
A native of Bay Minette, AL and a resident of Ocean Springs, MS died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 at Ocean Springs, MS. Mrs. Keller was a retired Supervisor from South Central Bell after 35 years of service, an active member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Ocean Springs, MS and was an avid lover of animals. She is preceded in death by her husband, William P. Keller; her parents, Richmond H. and Mary O. Long; and 3 sisters, Thelma Fulford, Deloris Johnson and Lucille Elizabeth Long. She is survived by six sisters, Sybil Willis of Foley, AL, Tharon Lesage of Mobile, AL, Mary Ellen Douthit of Ocean Springs, MS, Jessie Christian of Mobile, AL, Alice Kopp of Chipley, FL and Brenda Trevillion of Minden, LA; 22 nieces, 11 nephews, other relatives, many friends and her beloved pets - Snickers and Phefe. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 27, 1999 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home followed by interment at Serenity Memorial Gardens with visitation from 12:00 noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 4400 Audubon Dr; Gautier, MS 39553 (228-497-6350) or the Emmanuel Baptist church of Ocean Springs, preferred. Funeral arrangements are by SERENITY FUNERAL HOME, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd, Mobile, AL.

Sadie Lee Blair:
Age 72, died Friday, December 24, 1999 at Jeff Anderson Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Warren Blair, Quitman, MS; 2 sons, Edmond Dantes Cooper, Quitman, MS, James E. Cooper, Mobile, AL; 3 daughters, Rita Faye Klich, Mullica Hill, NJ, Linda Diane Thomas, Meridian, MS, Carol Kate "Kathie" Cooper, Mobile, AL; 2 brothers, Benjamin Harris, Quitman, MS; J.D. Harris, Mobile, AL; 3 sisters, Evie Lee Todd, Quitman, MS, Effie Lee Ernest, Mobile, AL, Julia Ann McGregory, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 10:00 AM from Wright's Funeral Home Chapel followed by 2:00 PM graveside services at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Rev. Grady Crowell will officiate. Funeral arrangements by WRIGHT'S FUNERAL HOME, P.O. Box 839, Quitman, MS 39655. 601-776-2104.

Mrs. Cecile Bonvillian Seaman:
A lifelong resident of Mobile County died Tuesday, December 21, 1999. Funeral services will be held today at 10AM from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with interment in Oddfellow Cemetery. Arrangements by SERENITY FUNERAL HOME, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd, Mobile, AL.

Mr. Burton Howard Silverstein:
Age 67. A longtime resident of Mobile, AL died on Sunday, December 26, 1999 at a local hospital. Mr. Silverstein was a member of a local Mystic Society, was a Veteran of the Korean War, was employed for Bay Paper Company for many years. He is survived by his wife, Renee Martina Silverstein of Mobile. 3 children: Charles K. (Gail) Silverstein of Parkland, FL, Leonard A. (Dr. Ellen Frauenthal) Silverstein of Atlanta, GA, Jerry M. (Tonia) Silverstein of Mobile, AL. 1 sister: Shelia (Mel) Talbert of Plantation, FL. Mother: Gussie S. Wallach of Hollywood, FL. 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services and interment will be on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 11: 00 AM from Pine Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5:00 P M to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY-BELMANY FUNERAL HOME, 6110 Grelot Road, Mobile, AL.

Mrs. Ethel D. Smith:
A native of Millry, AL and a longtime resident of Eight-Mile, AL died in a local hospital on Saturday, December 25, 1999. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Smith and son, Bill S. Smith. She is survived by five children, Helen Loper, of Eight-Mile, AL, Rachel Carpenter, of Saraland, AL, Betty Barcelona, of New Orleans, LA, Jennie Smith, of Eight-Mile, AL and Bobby (Jean) Smith, of Saraland, AL; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 10 AM. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5 PM until 8 PM. Graveside services and interment will be held at Millry Cemetery, Millry, AL Tuesday at 12:30 PM. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571.

Mrs. Gladys Larrimore Tarleton:
A native of Dickinson, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile and Baldwin Counties died in a Daphne, AL nursing facility on Saturday, December 25, 1999. Mrs. Tarleton was a member of First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort and was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Emmette Tarleton. She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette (Douglas) Wilson, of Spanish Fort, AL; one sister, Lorena Williams, of Chickasaw, AL; two grandsons, Doug (Stacie) Wilson, of Loxley, AL and Shannon (Andrea) Wilson, of Daphne, AL; eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 1 PM. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until 1 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, Dauphin Street Extension, Mobile, Alabama 36606.
