Mr. Walter Roderick Tillman, Sr:
A native and lifelong resident of Mobile County, AL died at the family residence on Saturday, December 25, 1999. He was a member of Baptist Chapel in Grand Bay, AL and a member of the Boilermaker-Blacksmith Union. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Dorothy A. Tillman and his son, Walter Roderick Tillman, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Evelyn Clark Tillman of St. Elmo, AL; five children, Shirley (Pete) Holloway of Irvington, AL, Lois (Bob) Dearmond of Schriver, LA, Charlene (Don) Wittling of Mobile, AL, Elizabeth (Dean) Mandrell of Charleston, SC and Claude Thomas Tillman of Mobile, AL; two step-children, Dwight (Shelia) Clark of Mobile, AL and Charles (Rose Mary) Clark of St. Elmo, AL; one sister, Willie Mae Badon of Theodore, AL; one brother, Claude A. Tillman of St. Elmo, AL; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, December 27, 1999 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, December 26, 1999 from 5-8 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by MOBILE MEMORIAL GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 6040 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, AL 36619.

Renita Hall Wade (Bugsy):
Age 48 of Oak Grove and a native of Saraland, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999 at the Mobile Infirmary. She was the owner and operator of Bugsy's Trucking. Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her father, Howard E. Hall of Satsuma and grandmother, Augusta Mae (Jackie) Coleman of Saraland. Mrs. Wade is survived by: husband, Paul W. Patterson, Oak Grove, AL; mother, Francine H. Hall, Saraland, AL; 3 daughters, Daphne Wade Hubbard, Northport, AL, Astra Autumn Wade, Mobile, AL, Paula Marie Patterson, Oak Grove, AL; 1 sister, Reva Hall Lewis, Saraland, AL; 2 grandsons, Ashton Hall Hubbard, Northport, AL, Charles Jackson Hubbard, Northport, AL; grandfather, Mr. Travis O. Coleman, Saraland, AL; 1 nephew, Ira E. Lewis, III (Trey); 1 niece, Heather Paige Lewis; 1 great nephew, Blakely Alan-Trey Lewis; 1 great niece, Taylor Elizabeth Lewis. The family will receive friends at the Central Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, 225 Hwy 43, Saraland on Tuesday, December 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Cremation services for Mrs. Wade will be handled by the Fairhope Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 19698 Greeno Road, Fairhope, AL.

Mr. James Ralph Walls:
A native of Chattanooga, TN and a resident of Mobile County for many years died at his residence on Friday, December 24, 1999. Mr. Walls was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the Civil Service at Brookley Field. He is survived by his two nieces, Pamela Nelson Fordham of Springville, AL and Deborah Nelson Swain of Colorado Springs, CO. Nephew, Bruce Nelson of Huntsville, AL. Aunt, Ruth Broussard of Pensacola, FL. Brother-in-law, Vernon Nelson of Huntsville, AL. Four great-nephews, and one great-niece. Devoted and cherished friends, Loni and Jim Padgett. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9AM until service time at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Mr. Thomas Leroy Williams:
A native of Moss, MS and a resident of Saraland, AL died in a local nursing facility on Saturday, December 25, 1999. Mr. Williams joined the Pentalpha Lodge #804 F&AM May 4, 1950 and was raised to Master Mason September 19, 1950. He served as Worthy Patron of Ethel Ramsey Chapter #230 OES in 1953-1954 and served as Master of Pentalpha Lodge #804 in 1956-1957 and again in 1970-1971. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Abba Temple Shrine and retired from International Paper Co. after 25 years of service. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Bertie Clark Williams, his parents, Ira & Fannie Williams and sister, Thelma Disspayne. He is survived by one daughter, Ann W. (Cecil) Prentice, of Saraland, AL; five sisters, Katie Boone, of Chickasaw, AL, Tina Pitts, of Chickasaw, AL, Mary Ryan, Hattiesburg, MS, Martha Sumrall, Hattiesburg, MS and Willodean Logan, of Lucedale, MS; two brothers, George Williams and Johnny Williams, both of Lucedale, MS; two brothers, George Williams and Johnny Williams, both of Lucedale, MS; three grandchildren, Mona (Kris) Albright, Emily (Paul) Ryan, both of Bay Minette, AL and Douglas Prentice, of Decatur, GA; six great-grandchildren, Kyndle Fretwill, Kayla and Kellie Ryan, Penelope Albright, Chloe Albright and Thomas Albright, all of Bay Minette, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 1 PM. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571

Mrs. Fannie B. Anderson:
Born December 28, 1905 and was called to her eternal reward Sunday, December 26, 1999 at a local hospital. A native of Lower Peachtree, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL. She leaves to cherish her fond memories, three sons, Leroy Anderson, Mack Anderson, Mobile, AL and Cecil Anderson, Pineolo, CA; four daughters, Annie (Ralph) Powe, Mobile, AL, Stella Goins, Bronx, NY, Virginia (Clifford) Richardson, Sacramento, CA, Willie Mae (James) Morrissette, Laurelton, NY; two sisters, Lelia Powell and Johnnie Anderson, both of Mobile; one brother, Elmore Hill, Mt. Vernon; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. funeral to follow at 1 PM at Ebenezer A.M.E. Zion Church, Rev. Clarence J. Cook, Sr. officiating. Interment in Prichard Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to LOVETT'S FUNERAL CHAPEL, 404 Dr. M. L. King, Jr. Ave.

Mr. Morgan Layaffette Bishop:
Funeral services were held Monday, December 27, 1999 at 2PM from the Chapel of Pine Funeral Home with Rev. David Pierce officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Rick Bishop, Robert Bishop and Joseph Bishop. Pallbearers were Tommy Cain, Steve Cain, Phillip Cain, Danny Cain, Michael Cain, Kenny Cain, Bill Roberts and David Roberts. Interment was in Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements by PINE CREST FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL 36605. (334) 478-5227.

Mrs. Bessie Cobb:
90, a resident of Camden, Alabama died Monday, December 27, 1999 at J. Paul Jones Hospital in Camden, AL. Services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 2pm from the First Presbyterian Church in Camden with Rev. Jeff McLendon officiating. Burial to follow in Camden City Cemetery with Dunklin-Herndon F/H directing. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. "Ty" Cobb and a son, Hunter McDuffie, II. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sister McDuffie Curry (Pete), Camden, AL; grandchildren, Nell Curry Corte, Will Curry, Lila McDuffie Bailey, Ginna McDuffie Siniard and Hunter McDuffie, III; great grandchildren, Anna Bailey, Charlie Bailey, Webb Bailey, Libby Siniard, Ann Bradley Siniard, Jay Corte, IV. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until service time. Donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Camden, AL.

Mrs. Hattie Snowden Starr Cochran:
A native of Evergreen, AL and a resident of Mobile died Sunday December 26, 1999 in Mobile. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Starr and second husband, Oran W. Cochran, Sr. She is survived by her son, Al Louis Starr; two stepsons, Oran W. Cochran, Jr. of Tucson, AZ and Simeon Cochran of Birmingham; two sisters, Maxine Davis of Mobile and Faye Stanton of Evergreen; grandchildren, special nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at Radney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29, 1999 at 10:00 AM. Graveside services and Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Brewton, AL at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 672 Azalea Rd, Mobile, AL 36609. Arrangements by RADNEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES, Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL.
