Lane, Dorothy C., a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Friday, August 24, 2007, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 27, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Ed Henne officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial directing. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Lane. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Chambers, Prattville, AL; 2 grandchildren, Delisa Chambers, Birmingham, AL and John (Lorna) Chambers, Prattville, AL; two great-grandchildren, brother, Lee (Geneva) Cody, Tampa, FL; several nieces and Nephews. Active pallbearers will be members of Prattville Masonic Lodge #89, Honorary pallbearer, Ed Grouby. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Geraldine Ledbetter

LEDBETTER, Geraldine, 64, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Larry Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Ledbetter was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Howard Ledbetter; two sons, Carlous (Sherry) Elrod, and Howard (Tammy) Ledbetter; five daughters, Felicia (Steve) Rowell, Brenda (Ray) Walker, Linda (Ron) Driver, Pat (Bobby) LaFollette, and June Ledbetter; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janell (Frank) Criswell, Willene (Tim) Autery, and Bettie (Ellis) Shields; and one brother, Bennie Clyde (Nita Ann) Jordan. Serving as active pallbearers will be Levi Norris, Cliff Walker, Brandon Ledbetter, Blake Ledbetter, John McLean, Adam McGilberry, Todd McGilberry, Adam Reed and Bobby Bowen. Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Elrod, James McLean, Christopher Rivers, Billy Joe Lumpkin, Fred Paulk, Ellis Shields, Tim Autery, and Frank Criswell. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Carl Kirkley

Kirkley, Carl Douglas, 71, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died peacefully on Saturday, October, 13, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Octobber 16, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Steve Nulph officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Kirkley is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Gennett Kirkley; three sons, Carl Edward (Catherine) Kirkley, Wendell Edwin (Kay) Kirkley, and Michael D. (Anita) Wilkerson; four sisters, Addie Louise (Austin) Lavert, Anna May Wright, Dorothy Ray (James) McGhee, and Elaine (Paul) Dawson; five grandchildren, Jason Douglas Kirkley, Brandon Heath Kirkley, James William Kirkley, Brandi Leigh Wilkerson, and Bryant Michael Wilkerson; and two great-grandchildren, Logan Douglas Kirkley and Donovan Anderson. Active pallbearers will be retirees’ from the Montgomery City Fire Department. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Perry Hill Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Perry Hill Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 3909 Vista Circle, Montgomery, AL 36109.

Milton Keene

KEENE, Milton Doyle, 79, a resident of Deatsville, AL, died peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2005, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Brother James Bozeman officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Keene honorably served his country during World War II as a Veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Rosa Keene; one daughter and son-in-law, Diedre and James Johnson, all of Deatsville, AL; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey and Kim Keene, Prattville, AL, Mark and Brandie Keene, WI; one stepson, Phillip Harris, Northport, AL; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edith (Owen) Stallworth, Hoover, AL, and Emma Jean Mills, Northport, AL. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

James Hall

HALL, James Hilary, 56, a resident of Billingsley, AL, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 24, 2006, in St. Charles, LA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at 3:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Hall. He is survived by one daughter, Gayle Smith, Billingsley, AL; one son, Jamie Hall, Jemison, AL; four grandchildren, James Logan Smith, Journee Hall, Adrian Hall, and McKenzie Hall; one sister, Avis Duke, Millbrook, AL; and four brothers, Wayne Hall, Deatsville, AL, Joe Hall, Skippersville, AL, Richard Hall, Montgomery, AL, and Larry Hall, Millbrook, AL. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.

Vicky Esco

ESCO, Vicky W, 49, died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 19, 2005, of complications from a two-year courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2005, at 3:30 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Brother John Sparks of Tallassee, AL officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Vicky was a loving Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a native of Tallassee, AL and had been a resident of Prattville, AL for over thirty years. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward “Pete” Cullars, and her sister, Regina Ward. She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Joe Frank Esco, Jr.; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe Brandon and Michelle Esco; one precious grandson, Brandon Tyler Esco, the sunshine of her life. She is also survived by her mother, Francis Hutchens Cullars; one brother and sister-in-law, Drew and Linda Cullars; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and dear friends. She was a dedicated employee of the Prattville Holiday Inn for over 25 years. She began her employment as a payroll clerk working her way up to Comptroller. Active pallbearers will be Mike Breedlove, Brock Breedlove, Richard Williams, Ray Pate, Don Smith and Jimmy Carroll. Honorary pallbearers will be Karl A. Clark, Carl Baker, Mike Abdu, and Roscoe Williams. Memorial donations may be sent to The American Cancer Society for Colon Cancer Research, 3054 C McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.

Flora Jackson

THOMPSON, Flora Belle, 89, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2007. Her family extends a warm welcome to attend a memorial service to be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., from The First United Methodist Church in Prattville, with Pastor Randy Woodham and Pastor Ed Henne officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to her service in the church parlor. Her husband, Leonard Cecil Thompson, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Henry and Nadyne, Prattville, AL, Jerry and Ruth, Harrisburg, MO; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Darren and Debra, Madison, AL, Dale and Sherri, Covington, GA; two granddaughters, Stephanie, Columbia, MO, Tamara, Seattle, WA; one grandson-in-law, Jim Nielsen, Seattle, WA; two great-grandsons and two great granddaughters, and her younger sister, Nancy Lynch, Shawnee, OK. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Park, Midwest City, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to one’s favorite charitable organization.

Mike Jones

JONES, William Michael “Mike,” 50, of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Chuck Glasscock officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. At the time of his death, Mike was employed with Norment Glass Company in Montgomery, AL. He was preceded in death by his father, William “Billy” Henry Jones, Jr. (USAF Ret’d) and one brother, Marion Douglas Jones. He is survived by his beloved mother, Doris Jones; loving daughter, Michaelyn Nicole “Nicci” Jones; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob “Monty” and Nancy Emmons; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Baker, Sandy and Troy Todd; life partner, Gloria Richards; two step-daughters, Leah Richards and Savanah Creel; four beloved nieces, Amy Edwards, Arielle Todd, Chelsea Todd Rapp and Trinity Rapp; and five nephews, Jason Emmons, Patrick Tucker, Brandon Tucker, Robby Emmons, and Hayden Langley Edwards. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Sunday afternoon from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Mary Jo Holt

HOLT, Mary Jo, 64, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Jack Weight officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Holt is survived by her beloved husband, Jimmy C. Holt, Prattville, AL; four daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Curtis Pearsall, Millbrook, AL, Toni and Jack Morgan, Smith Station, AL, Dale and Danny Gissendanner, Pelham, AL, and Theresa Black, Panama City, FL; one son, Cliff Holt, Prattville, AL; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Smith, Sylacauga, AL, and Patricia Rawlinson, Prattville, AL. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
