Harrison Milo Webb

Harrison Milo Webb, 84, of Ozone died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

He was a native of New Salem, Ga., son of the late Elijah and Daisy Smith Webb, textile employee, Baptist, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Webb; one grandson, Billy Jack Keith; and five brothers.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary Keith and Helen Whitfield, both of Ozone, Martha Busby of Fort Payne, Ala., and Bonnie Webb of Mentone, Ala.; two sons, Ronald Webb of Blontsville, Ala., and Andy Webb of Ozone; one sister, Arminie Gold of Mentone, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Sory officiating. Burial was in Salus cemetery.

Johnnie L. Taylor

Johnnie L. Taylor, 48, of Clarksville died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Gallup, N. M., to the late John L. and Leta Mae Dunn Taylor.

He is survived by three sisters, Helen M. Collier of Tulsa, Okla., Carrie Lotshaw and Rosalie Brown.

Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Hartman cemetery with Rev. Don Alexander officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Judith J. Kiner

Memorial services for Judith J. Kiner, 75, of Van Buren, who died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at her home, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

She was a native of Kansas City, Mo., daughter of the late William Mack and Leta Hassen Moran, and was an employee for JCPenney for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence V. Kiner; one half-sister, Berniece, of Omaha, Neb.; and one niece, June Nemieck of Bella Vista.

Kathryn Nordin

Kathryn Nordin, 78, of London died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at her home.

She was born at Augsburg, daughter of the late Henry August and Margaret Bertha Clements Meimerstorf, widow of Franklin Nordin, 40-year member of Lamar United Methodist Church, member of the Extension homemakers club, Johnson County Cattleman Club, and Johnson County Farm Bureau, retired from Clarksville and Russellville Footwear after 20 years of service, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Kenny Meimerstorf; and one sister, Rosie Smith.

She is survived by three daughters, Nita Pickering of the Hickeytown Community, Sue Ford of Poteau, Okla., and Missy Hanna of Fort Smith; two sons, Gary Nordin of Lamar and Mike Nordin of Rogers; one sister, Berniece Higby of Lamar; two brothers, Johnny Meimerstorf of the Hickeytown Community and Harold Meimerstorf of Granby, Mass.; nine grandchildren, Clay Nordin, Allison Nordin, Hope Acord, Mack Pickering, Demi Ford, Maddie Hanna, Noah Hanna, Audrey Nordin, and Ben Nordin; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Lamar United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Cloniner officiating.

Burial was in Nordin cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Leland Nordin, Milton Nordin, Rusty Nordin, Robert Smith, Bruce McCracken, and Mike Ford.

Memorials may be made to Lamar United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 177, Lamar, AR 72846.

Margie Blankenship

Margie Blankenship, 83, of Cecil, mother of Ginger Boyd of Clarksville, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, in Charleston.

She was a native of the Island Community, daughter of the late Mackinley and Alice Brotherton Underwood, member of the Order of Eastern Star having served as worthy grand matron, retired from the U. S. Postal Service as postmaster at Cecil, member of Ozark First Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husbands, Dee Pack and Bud Blankenship; two sons, Alan and Tim Pack; one grandson, Matthew Boyd; three sisters, Clara White, Norma Harriman and Phyllis Erp; and one brother, Paul (Pete) Underwood

Other survivors include one sister, Mildred Casey of Muskogee, Okla.; one brother, Albert Underwood of the Island Community; six granddaughters, Rinda Baker of Alma, Amy Scherz and Dee Campbell, both of Springdale, Sara Daily of Fayetteville, and Adrienna Boyd and Savannah Boyd Goebel, both of Clarksville; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Eubanks cemetery west of Cecil.

Pallbearers were Josh Goebel, Weldon Triplett, Chris Baker, Chris Scherz, Craig Campbell and Joey Daily.

Memorials may be made to Greenhurst Nursing Center, P. O. Box 458, Charleston, AR 72933.

Thelma F. Gilbert

Thelma Francis Gilbert, 84, of Clarksville died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at her home.

She was a native of Clayton, Ala., daughter of the late Joseph Henry Harrison and Mammie Kent Green, member of Oakland Street Full Gospel Church, and was preceded in death by four sisters, Ella Mae, Melvie, Ruby, and Lillian; and six brothers, Lester, Harvey, Otha, Leon, Huey and Bradford.

Survivors include her husband, Homer (Blackie) Gilbert; two daughters, Joan Humphrey and husband, Bob, and Sue Farmer of Clarksville; two sons, Wayne Gilbert and wife, Debbie, of Pettigrew and Gerald Gilbert and wife, Tricia, of Fort Smith; one stepdaughter, Diane Gilbert of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Oakland Street Full Gospel Church with Rev. Carl Sory officiating.

Burial will be in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Scott Gilbert, Wayne Gilbert, Jody Humphrey, Robby Humphrey, Greg Kemp, and Jacky Gilbert.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Brown, Alan Brown, Jason Liles, Terry Farmer, Kent Humphrey, Kolby Humphrey, Dustin Humphrey, Brody Humphrey, Alex Kemp, Doyle Farmer, Bob Humphrey, Steve Johnson, Winston May, and men of the Oakland Street Full Gospel Church.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Department of Health Hospice, 22 Sherwood Plaza, Clarksville, AR 72830.

Dwayne L. Murray

Dwayne Laverne Murray, 80, of Clarksville died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at his home.

He was a native of Lincoln, Neb., son of the late Earl and Mary Wilson Murray, member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, VFW, and American Legion, Navy veteran of World War II, retired fire chief and fire inspector, and was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Murray.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Murray; one daughter, Michaela Phillips of Subiaco; three sons, Mark Murray and Christopher Murray, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Paul Murray of South Pasadena, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father William Wewers officiating.

Burial was in the National cemetery at Fort Smith under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Paul Murray, Chris Murray, Joe Carrion, Luke Phillips, Charles Bruton, and John Carter.

Ashlond Danielle Morrow

Ashlond Danielle Grace Morrow, 17, of Hartman died Monday, July 14, 2008, at her home.

She was born in Indiana and was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Edna Morrow.

Survivors include her parents, Eddie Don and Carol Morrow of Hartman; grandparents, George and Hattie Shepherd of Hartman; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carrie Morrow Pelfrey and husband, James, and Amanda Morrow Cuevas and husband, Joe, all of Hartman; and four nieces, Brooklond, Adrianna, Grace, and Olivia.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Burial will be in Hess cemetery at Coal Hill.

Active pallbearers will be Joe Cuevas, James Pelfrey, Randy Chambers, Carrie Morrow' Call, Teddy Morrow, Tina Chambers, and Joshua Morrow.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Cain and Amanda Morrow 'Cuevas.
