Mrs. Ruby Jean Holman

Mrs. Ruby Jean Holman, 54, of North Bend died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at her home.
She was a native of Lamar and daughter of the late Lloyd Curtis and Edna Inez Childers Fetters.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Holman; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Ron Ross of Coquille, Ore.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Mary Holman of North Bend, Terry and Candy Holman of Philomath, Ore., and Eric and Michelle Holman of Coos Bay, Ore.; five brothers, Laudell, Curtis, Steve, and Joe Fetters, all of Clarksville, and Earl Fetters of Lamar; six sisters, Mary Woodard, Linda Hutchins, Faye Smith and Brenda Gilbert, all of Clarksville, Arnetta Scruggs of Hernandu, Miss., and Cathy Denn of Port Orford, Ore.; five grandchildren, Tim and Tracye Martin, and Shawn, Dillon and Justin Holman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens in Coquille, Ore., with Rev. George Daggett officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Myrtle Grove Funeral Service.

Gerald Wendal Wesley

Gerald Wendal Wesley, 57, of Alma died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at his home.
He was a master mechanic and son of the late Benjamin Wesley and Bettie Wesley.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Shirley Smith Wesley; one daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Ralph Crews of Van Buren; one stepdaughter, Tammy Belt of Kibler; one son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Anita Willis Wesley of Kibler; three stepsons and spouse, Jody and Martha Brasuell of Kibler, Terry Brasuell of Van Buren and Randy Brausell of Barling; one brother, James Wesley of Cedarville; and 13 grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Mt. McCury cemetery at Rudy. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ben Wesley, Jody Brasuell, Tony Cox, Everett Willis, Randy Brasuell, and Tommy McCrew.

Mrs. Julia Marie Hurst

Mrs. Julia Marie Hurst, 82, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late David and Julia Griffin Lindsay, and a Lutheran.
Survivors include her husband, Huell (Tiny) Hurst; two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy and Bob Conrad of Lakeville, Minn., and Linda Davis of Dennison, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Hurst of Rochester Hills, Mich.; two brothers, Patrick Lindsay of New Hudson, Mich., and Robert Lindsay of Santee, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky McNeill officiating. Burial was in Hess cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Relus Sosebee, Tommy D. Hurst, Larry Hurst, Paul E. Wilson, David M. Hurst, and Joe B. Hurst.
Honorary pallbearers were Willis Morrow and Thomas B. Hurst.

Lonnie James Mize

Lonnie James Mize, 82, of Lamar died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999.
He was a son of the late Felix James and Clara Farris Mize, retired factory and timber rock quary employee, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Alice Ann Richardson, one son, Earl Mize, two sisters, Novella and Mildred, and one brother, Lafayette Mize.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gracie Leoma Holt Mize; three daughters, Shirley Davis and Wanda Richardson, both of Lamar, and Eula Dobbs of Fayetteville; six sons, Gary Mize, Thomas Mize, Vernon Mize, and Myrl Mize, all of Lamar, James Mize of Knoxville, and Larry Mize of Ozark; 24 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at the Knoxville First Baptist Church with Rev. Amos Pledger and Rev. Ira Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in Holman cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Alan Mize, Michael Mize, Kevin Mize, Lonnie Mize, Josh Harlan and Troy Dean Richardson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Dobbs, Chad Harlan, Greg Mize, Russell Mize, Ronnie Farris, Billy Richardson, Jeff Mize, Aaron Mize, Trevor Mize, Sam Mize, Rebecca Townley, Sheila Hampton, Pam Tatum, Michele Harty, Karen Mize, Tamara Davis, Stacey Mize, and Megan Mize.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Luella Pratt

Mrs. Luella Pratt, 78, of Clarksville died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999, at her home.
She was a member of the East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church, a retired school employee, daughter of the late Hall Skidgel and Cordie King Skidgel, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Ann Soard, one son, Louie Don Pratt, and one grandchild.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Pratt; one daughter, Loretta Sue Hutchins of Lamar; three sons, Gary Lynn Pratt of Mountainburg, Lawrence Dean Pratt of Clarksville, and Irvin Lee Pratt of Fort Smith; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Airy cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Alan Pratt, Eric Pratt, Chad Pratt, Todd Cross, Darren Soard, Jarrett Pratt, Nathan Pratt, Steve Hutchins, Michael Rowland, Cody Pratt, and Reese Rowland.
Memorials may be made to the East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund.

Lewis Wayne Martin

Lewis Wayne Martin, 64, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at Ozark Nursing Home.
He was a truck driver, Air Force veteran, member of the Pentecostal Church, and son of the late Vester Martin.
Survivors include three daughters, Toi Thomas of Clarksville, Tia Martin of Cecil and Lea Martin of Coal Hill; mother, Jewell Faught Stone of Ozark; one sister, Shirley Martin of Fayetteville; five brothers, Jerry Martin of Ozark, Floyd Martin of Fremont, Boyd Martin of Manteca, Calif., Paul Martin of West Fork, and Mike Martin of Dexter, N. M.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger and Rev. Lamar Joy officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Fred Breedlove, Jim Doss, James Owen, Auther Owen, J. C. Pool, and Dee Yates.

Mrs. Norma June Cowell

Mrs. Norma June Cowell, 60, of the Flat Rock Community, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
A native of Bakersfield, Calif., she was a daughter of the late Wylie and Grace Catherine Shelton O'Neal, attended the Flat Rock Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Melanie N. Cowell.
Survivors include her husband, James C. Cowell; three sons and daughters-in-law, James S. and Tina L. Cowell of Ozone, Danny J. and Denise M. Cowell of Knoxville, and Anthony (Peanut) and Carla A. Cowell of Flat Rock; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona J. and Charles J. Chavers of Mangum, Okla., Katherine L. and James P. Bernholz of Fort Benning, Ga., and Glenda K. and Darrell R. Chavers of Lamar; one sister, Marie Harris of Flat Rock; stepmother, Marie O'Neal of Lamar; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy Caudle of Kansas City, Kan.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Flat Rock Assembly of God Church with Rev. Carl Sory officiating.
Burial was in the Brock cemetery at Piney under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.
Active pallbearers were Trenton Bates, Robert Hunt, Donnie Cochran, Bo Parker, Rick Parker, and Stevie Bocksnick.
Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Hardgrave and Leonard Whorton.
